Ten mortgage employers worth checking for loan-originator jobs are U.S. Bank, Primary Residential Mortgage, Inc. (PRMI), PRMG, Supreme Lending, PrimeLending, Lennar, Key2Nest Home Loans, Advance Mortgage & Investment Company (AMIC), Envoy Mortgage, and CrossCountry Mortgage. Their career pages do not all show a confirmed, live originator vacancy: some are recruiting pages or general job boards. Check each employer’s current listings for the specific role, location, licensing requirements, and application status before applying.

10 mortgage companies to check for loan-originator jobs

The evidence below comes from official employer career or recruiting pages, reviewed on October 7, 2026. Hiring statements and listings can change; treat each as a lead, not a guarantee that a suitable opening is still available.

Employer What its page indicates What to verify

U.S. Bank

Its dedicated mortgage loan originator jobs page describes originator support, products, marketing, operations, licensing support, and borrower or referral leads. The page directs candidates to explore jobs or contact the hiring team. Check for a current opening in your geography.

Primary Residential Mortgage, Inc. (PRMI)

Its careers page includes mortgage loan officer or originator roles and a job board. The company says it provides in-house training for the NMLS licensing exam. Confirm a specific open role and ask the employer to explain the training and employment terms.

PRMG

Its careers page says it is hiring loan officers and branch managers across the U.S. It describes compensation, fulfillment, product, technology, and marketing support. The hiring statement is from the employer; verify current openings and territory directly.

Supreme Lending

Its job board showed postings such as an SVP of Sales and Finance role, a deal desk role, a licensing analyst, and a licensed loan officer assistant. Those surfaced listings do not establish a current mortgage loan-originator vacancy. Check the job title and duties rather than assuming an adjacent position is an originator job.

PrimeLending

Its careers page invites licensed originators and branch managers to search production roles and current openings. A recruiting pathway is not proof of a live vacancy. Search for the specific role and location.

Lennar

Search results showed mortgage loan officer and associate postings in specific cities, with September 2026 posting dates. Job listings can close. Verify the listing directly before relying on it.

Key2Nest Home Loans

Its careers page describes a mortgage loan originator role and says remote-friendly roles are limited to named states. Check the current vacancy, state licensing expectations, and whether the position is remote or hybrid.

Advance Mortgage & Investment Company (AMIC)

Its careers page says it is hiring licensed mortgage loan originators in Alabama, California, Colorado, Florida, Louisiana, Mississippi, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, and Utah. It also describes experience and licensing-support expectations. Confirm the listed states and open positions directly; both can change.

Envoy Mortgage

Its dedicated loan-originator recruiting page describes the role and employer support. A recruiting page alone does not establish a live opening in your location.

CrossCountry Mortgage

Its careers page says it seeks high-producing originators and directs applicants to current openings and job alerts. Check the actual local role and its qualifications.

How to tell whether a listing is really an originator job

Titles are not interchangeable. A loan originator or loan officer role generally centers on originating mortgage loans, while a loan officer associate or assistant may have different duties and requirements. A licensing analyst is not an originator position simply because it appears on a mortgage lender’s job board. Read the responsibilities, required licenses, and production expectations in the actual listing.

Likewise, a careers page that invites candidates to contact recruiting is not the same as a posted vacancy. Before investing time in an application, check whether there is a live role, whether it covers your state, and whether the stated requirements match your background.

What to compare before choosing an employer

Employer pages describe different support models, but those claims are not independent comparisons of actual results. Ask recruiters for specific terms in writing and compare:

  • Compensation: How is pay calculated, and are there fees or other deductions?
  • Leads: Are leads provided by the company, self-generated, or a mix? Ask how referrals are handled.
  • Licensing and training: Who pays for licensing, continuing education, and exam preparation? What training is available to someone new to the role?
  • Products and fulfillment: Which loan products are available, and what underwriting, processing, and operations support will you receive?
  • Work location and coverage: Is the role branch-based, remote, or hybrid, and in which states can you work?
  • Client relationships: What happens to your pipeline and client book if you leave?

Licensing and state coverage

Requirements depend on the state and the particular role; these employer pages do not establish a complete account of legal licensing rules. Some employers describe licensing support, and PRMI says it provides in-house training for the NMLS licensing exam, but candidates should confirm what applies to their own role and state. Check the employer’s current listing and ask the recruiter which licenses are required before applying.
