OR-BAIH-01 and OR-IEH-01 are Google payment-page errors most closely associated with attempts to add a bank account in AdSense. Google acknowledged multiple reports of both codes on July 9, 2021, and described the problem as a known issue. That notice is historical; it does not prove that Google is experiencing the same universal outage today. The code alone does not prove that your bank details are wrong, that your AdSense account is suspended, or that your YouTube earnings have disappeared.
Check your payment requirements, make one controlled retry, and use signed-in Google support if the error remains. The most likely consequence of an unresolved setup problem is a delayed payout, not automatic forfeiture of earned revenue.
What OR-BAIH-01 and OR-IEH-01 mean
The codes are generated by Google’s payments system. The documented occurrence was on the AdSense payment page when publishers tried to add a bank account. Google’s public notice grouped the two codes together and suggested contacting support or temporarily trying another eligible payment method or bank account: Google AdSense Community notice.
Google has not published an authoritative expansion of the letters in either code. Treat them as diagnostic identifiers, not as a translation of a specific problem such as an invalid routing number, fraud review, or bank rejection. The 2021 notice also does not establish that every occurrence in 2026 has the same cause.
First determine which payment problem you have
YouTube creator revenue is paid through the associated AdSense for YouTube payments account. Payment setup, tax information, verification, holds and thresholds are handled there even when you first encounter the message in YouTube. Google’s current checklist is to confirm personal information, submit tax information, select a payment method and reach the applicable payment threshold: YouTube payment guidance.

Google lists missing tax information, identity or address verification, a self-imposed hold, and additional payment verification among possible hold reasons: Google’s payment-hold guidance.
Checks to complete before retrying
- Confirm the payee name exactly matches the bank-account holder or eligible business.
- Recheck the account number and the routing number or equivalent local identifier.
- Confirm the bank country, currency and transfer type are supported for your payments address. Availability varies by country, currency, account type and method; use Google’s payment-method finder.
- Look for red alerts requesting tax, identity or address action. Address verification may use a mailed PIN that Google says can take approximately three to four weeks.
- Check whether you have separate AdSense and AdSense for YouTube payments accounts; each may require its own method when it reaches the applicable threshold.
All YouTube creators must submit tax information. Google warns that, depending on circumstances, missing information can lead to withholding of up to 24% of total earnings worldwide. That tax rule is separate from these error codes and is not proof of their cause.

A controlled troubleshooting sequence
- Capture the failure. Screenshot the full message, record the exact code, date, time zone and whether it appeared while opening settings, adding, editing, saving or verifying the account.
- Inspect Payments. Open AdSense for YouTube Payments and complete any visible hold, tax, identity, address or payment-method task.
- Review the data once. Correct only genuine errors. Do not alter a legal name, country or bank details merely to bypass the message.
- Retry once in a clean session. Sign in to the correct Google account using a current desktop browser. If needed, use a private window and temporarily disable extensions that block scripts. Avoid VPNs or unusual routing for the test. These are general diagnostics, not Google-confirmed fixes.
- Use an alternative only if it is legitimately available. A second bank account must belong to the eligible payee or legal entity. Do not use a relative’s or friend’s account, fabricated details or a mismatched payee name.
- Stop repeated submissions. Repeatedly creating, deleting or changing payment profiles does not have an official success guarantee and can make the account history harder to diagnose.
- Escalate with evidence. If the same code persists, use the signed-in support routes below.
How to contact Google safely
Use Google’s official channels, not phone numbers or direct messages found in search results:
Include a channel URL or ID, publisher ID if visible, country and payment currency, the exact code, timestamps, the action that failed, visible hold messages, browser/device details and whether another eligible method was tested. Redact account numbers, tax IDs and identity-document numbers from screenshots. Never post passwords or full financial details in a community forum.

If Google asks for verification
Verify that the message comes through an official Google channel and follow the instructions in your account. Google says payment-verification requests can involve information shared with a bank or intermediary bank, but it will not ask for bank-account details in that verification email. If a red hold appears without an email, use the contact option in the notification. Where Google requests a response to an official email, its guidance may specify a five-working-day deadline.

There is no official evidence that these codes erase earned revenue. Google says balances roll over when the applicable threshold is not reached, and payment is issued only after required steps are complete and no hold remains. Its example uses a $100 threshold, but thresholds vary by currency and account conditions; it is not a universal amount. Do not rely on a guaranteed payout date.
If a payment hold is cleared after Google verifies the requested information, Google says funds may arrive within five to seven days or in the next scheduled payment. That timing applies to the hold process, not necessarily to an unresolved OR-BAIH-01 or OR-IEH-01 entry error. What not to do
- Do not create a duplicate AdSense account.
- Do not change your legal name, country or bank ownership inaccurately.
- Do not submit multiple random accounts or use a VPN location as a supposed fix.
- Do not pay an “AdSense recovery” service or anyone claiming to unlock payments.
- Do not upload identity documents to unofficial websites or publish bank information publicly.
