What happened at the Coldplay concert?
On July 16, 2025, Coldplay performed at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts. A video from the venue’s audience screen showed Astronomer CEO Andy Byron and the company’s Chief People Officer, Kristin Cabot, together. The clip circulated online and was widely described as a “kiss cam” moment, though reports describe it as part of the band’s audience-screen segment.
The Associated Press reported that singer Chris Martin introduced the segment as a search of the crowd for his “Jumbotron Song,” singing lines about people shown on the screen. That performance detail describes how the audience moment was presented; it does not establish the board’s reasoning or private facts about the people shown.

July 24: Cabot’s reported resignation
On July 24, ITV reported that Cabot had resigned. ITV also reported that co-founder Pete DeJoy was listed as CEO after the departures. That report describes the leadership listing at that time; it does not establish who leads Astronomer today.
