The available sources do not establish that founder Peter Treadway completed a deal with a Shark. The latest detailed company update located here dates to 2023, so it does not confirm Acton’s current product lineup or financial position.
What Acton pitched on Shark Tank
Founder Peter Treadway appeared on the Season 7 premiere with Acton’s RocketSkates and M Scooters. RocketSkates were motorized skates powered by brushless hub motors; the M Scooter was another electric personal-transport product. The Shark Tank Blog’s recap says Acton sought $1 million for 3.5% equity.
The recap also reports that the two products’ Kickstarter campaigns raised $622,707 combined: $550,725 for RocketSkates and $71,982 for the M Scooter. It attributes pitch-era sales figures to Treadway: $1 million in 2014 and $2 million by halfway through 2015, with a $20 million target for 2015. The recap also reports more than 20 patents and manufacturing costs of about 40% of retail price. These are historical claims reported secondhand, not audited financial statements.
Did Acton get a deal?
The Shark Tank Blog says Kevin O’Leary offered $1 million for 15%. Treadway countered at 6%, then 8%, and O’Leary did not change his terms. The recap does not document an agreement. A separate directory labels the outcome “No deal,” but its account conflicts with that label by describing a late offer from Mark Cuban as accepted. Because the accounts disagree, the evidence reviewed does not establish a completed Shark Tank investment.

Why did Acton stop selling RocketSkates?
By August 2022, Acton had stopped selling the skates, according to the Shark Tank Blog’s company update. It reported that the company had rebranded as Acton Global and shifted toward electric bikes and scooters designed for cities and large campuses; an electric skateboard was also listed. The update describes the change in direction but does not establish why Acton discontinued RocketSkates.
What happened to Acton after the pivot?
A February 2023 update from the Shark Tank Blog reported Acton’s bikes in more than 100 cities and annual revenue of $6 million. Those are dated, secondary-source figures, not independently verified current operating or financial data. They should not be read as Acton’s 2026 revenue or fleet reach.

Its page could not be opened, so it offers only lower-confidence corroboration; it does not verify a current catalog or business status. The sources available here do not establish Acton’s current ownership, operations, or product availability.

Acton was reported to have stopped selling RocketSkates in 2022, and current inventory is unverified. A retailer page lists historical product specifications—up to 12 mph, up to 10 miles per charge, two brushless DC motors, app-based route tracking, and a stated 90-minute charge time—but those are retailer-listed claims, not independent test results or proof that the skates are in stock. Treat any listing you encounter as potentially used or old stock, and verify condition, included components, and support availability directly with the seller.
