NetSuite’s April 2024 announcement was about embedding Text Enhance, a tool for drafting and refining text, in workflows across its ERP suite. Since then, Oracle has described a wider set of AI capabilities, including natural-language assistance and agentic workflows. “Across the suite” describes the product direction, not a guarantee that every feature is enabled for every customer: availability can depend on region, language, account settings, and user permissions.
What did NetSuite add in 2024?
The April 2024 announcement centered on Text Enhance. It can draft or refine text within NetSuite using company-specific and contextual information, bringing generative writing assistance into existing workflows rather than presenting it only as a separate chatbot.
Oracle NetSuite founder and EVP Evan Goldberg said at the time that the company was embedding generative AI capabilities “at no additional cost.” That statement applied to the capabilities in the 2024 announcement; it should not be read as a pricing guarantee for every current AI feature, service, or NetSuite module.
What AI features does NetSuite offer?
Oracle’s current help documentation lists multiple AI features. Names and availability can change as releases evolve.
#1 Best Overall
- Text Enhance: drafts or refines text using relevant company context.
- Prompt Studio: lets administrators and developers configure such settings as format, tone, and creativity for generated content.
- SuiteScript’s N/llm module: provides generative AI functionality for SuiteScript extensions and customizations.
- NetSuite Expert: answers natural-language questions using NetSuite support resources.
- Case Summary, Customer 360 Narrative Insights, Narrative Insights, and Task Prioritization in Intelligent Close Manager: AI-supported summaries, insights, or prioritization within their respective workflows.
- Enriched Bank Data and Transaction Matching Assistant: capabilities for bank-data enrichment and transaction matching.
- Item Creation Assistant and SuiteCloud Developer Assistant: assistance for item creation and SuiteCloud development.
The names and descriptions are drawn from Oracle’s AI feature availability documentation. They identify documented functions, not a promise that each is included, switched on, or suitable for every account.
How is NetSuite Next different?
In its October 2025 announcement, Oracle described NetSuite Next as a broader evolution of the existing platform. The announced experience includes Ask Oracle, narrative insights, AI Canvas, agentic workflows, and integration with documents and knowledge resources.
Rank #2
- Ideal for Gifting
- Ideal for a bookworm
- Compact for travelling
Ask Oracle is described as a natural-language assistant for searching, navigating, analyzing, and acting across NetSuite data. That is a broader task set than Text Enhance’s focus on drafting and refining text. NetSuite Next adds embedded AI and agents alongside a redesigned experience; it is not presented as a separate ERP replacing the existing platform.
Oracle’s current NetSuite Next and AI product page says Ask Oracle and NetSuite Next are available to customers in the United States and Canada, with more countries coming soon. The 2025 announcement described product direction and timing that could change, so check current release information for your account rather than treating an announcement as a delivery commitment.

Is NetSuite AI available to all customers?
No single availability statement covers every feature and account. Oracle says access can depend on the customer’s region, supported model languages, account settings, and the role and permissions assigned to a user. A feature appearing in Oracle’s documentation does not establish that it is available in a particular customer’s environment.
Some features have specific scope limits. For example, Oracle says Enriched Bank Data applies to imported bank transactions used for matching and reconciliation, with a limit of up to 10,000 transactions per run. Confirm applicability and current limits in the feature’s documentation and your account before designing a workflow around it.

Can NetSuite AI use company data, and what should finance teams check?
Text Enhance is described as using company-specific and contextual information. Ask Oracle is described as working across NetSuite data. These descriptions make access and governance important: administrators should verify which records and actions a user can reach, which features are enabled, and whether generated output needs review before it affects accounting, customer communications, or operational decisions.
Oracle explicitly says its listed AI features have not been assessed for U.S. HIPAA compliance and advises against processing or storing electronic protected health information with them. Organizations subject to healthcare privacy requirements should treat that as a clear restriction, not assume that standard NetSuite access controls make the AI features appropriate for ePHI.

Does NetSuite charge extra for AI?
Oracle’s April 2024 statement said the generative AI capabilities in that announcement were embedded at no additional cost. It does not establish the price or licensing terms for every later feature, NetSuite Next, or related services. Ask Oracle or your NetSuite account representative to confirm the terms for the specific feature, edition, and release you plan to use.
What the announcements do—and do not—show
Oracle’s announcements explain intended uses and product direction; they do not demonstrate independently measured productivity gains. The customer totals in Oracle’s announcements are vendor-reported scale figures, not evidence of AI adoption or impact: the April 2024 release reported more than 37,000 customers, the April 2025 Singapore release reported more than 41,000, and the October 2025 NetSuite Next announcement reported more than 43,000, each across 219 countries and dependent territories.
For a finance team evaluating the tools, the practical comparison is the task each feature supports, whether it is available for the organization’s region and release, what configuration or extension work is needed, and whether its data use meets internal governance requirements. Validate those points against the customer’s account and current Oracle documentation before relying on a feature.
