It is evidence of fast-growing on-chain reach, not proof that four million distinct investors are using these products or that their use will last.
What does the four-million figure measure?
Woodstock Fund Blog’s October 1, 2026 Q3 post says RWA.xyz recorded roughly four million tokenized-stock holders by late September, alongside about 3.24 million monthly active addresses. The same post reports 538,740 holders on July 20, 2026, and approximately 120,000 monthly active addresses in July. These are RWA.xyz figures as reported by Woodstock, a secondary source—not an independently verified census of investors. Woodstock Fund Blog’s Q3 2026 post
The growth in reported holders and active addresses suggests a sharp expansion in on-chain activity over that period. But the surfaced sources do not provide a dated primary aggregate snapshot or explain whether addresses are deduplicated across chains. Nor do they establish how custodial or exchange addresses are treated. A person may control multiple addresses, and an address does not necessarily represent one person. The figure therefore supports “holders” or “addresses as reported,” not “four million investors.”
How should you read holders, activity and trading?
These metrics answer different questions. RWA.xyz asset pages distinguish holders, trailing 30-day active addresses, transfer counts and volumes, total asset value, and token supply. #1 Best Overall
| Metric | What it can indicate | What it cannot establish by itself |
|---|---|---|
| Holders or addresses | How many addresses are reported as holding an asset or category. | How many distinct people own it, or whether they are still using it. |
| Monthly active addresses | How many addresses were active within the stated period. | How many people were active, how often each participated, or whether activity reflects lasting use. |
| Transfer count and volume | The amount of recorded transfer activity and value moved over the measured period. | Whether transfers represent new participants; repeated trading can raise activity without expanding the user base. |
| Asset value and supply | The reported economic scale and amount of tokens issued, subject to the metric’s scope and date. | Whether holders are satisfied, can redeem easily, or receive the same rights as conventional shareholders. |
A wallet can hold tokens without transacting during the latest month. Conversely, a small number of addresses trading repeatedly can generate substantial transfer activity. Even active-address metrics are address-level measures, not a headcount of people.
Why the tokenized product matters
“Tokenized stock” is not enough to tell you what legal or economic claim a buyer receives. The cited product pages illustrate distinct structures and access labels. RWA.xyz’s Microsoft (Ondo Tokenized) page describes economic exposure similar to holding Microsoft and lists eligibility for non-U.S. investors. A surfaced page snapshot listed 1,474 holders and 629 trailing 30-day active addresses; those figures are historical examples, not current live counts. Microsoft (Ondo Tokenized) on RWA.xyz

RWA.xyz describes Backed Alphabet Class A as a tokenized tracker certificate that mirrors the share price and lists eligibility for non-U.S. investors. That description is a reminder not to assume that every token represents direct ownership of the company’s conventional shares or conveys identical shareholder rights. Before treating growth in holders as evidence of a better or more widely accessible investment, readers need product-level information about the legal structure, underlying exposure, eligibility by geography, custody, redemption process, and any shareholder rights or limitations. The aggregate count does not answer those questions.

What would stronger evidence of adoption look like?
A more useful assessment combines reach with use, economic scale, product terms, and persistence. Comparisons are meaningful only when the figures share a date, scope, and definition; otherwise, differences may reflect measurement rather than adoption.
- Reach: holder counts with a clear definition, including whether addresses are deduplicated across chains.
- Use: trailing-period active addresses, repeat activity, and transfer counts, interpreted separately from one-time holdings.
- Economic scale: distributed value and transfer volume measured over a stated period and consistent scope.
- Access and rights: eligibility, product structure, custody, redemption terms, and the rights attached to the token.
- Durability: whether holding and activity continue after incentives, fee changes, or marketing campaigns. The reported aggregate count alone cannot show this.
RWA.xyz exposes several of these metrics on individual asset pages, but a category-wide headline cannot substitute for comparable product-level data. RWA.xyz asset analytics example

How to interpret the 100-million projection
KCEX News, citing PANews, attributed to Archetype partner Dmitriy Berenzon a projection that tokenized-stock holders could exceed 100 million within three years. The report does not provide a methodology for that forecast. It should be read as an investor’s thesis, not a measured trend, independently validated forecast, or settled expectation.
