What is changing at the two resorts?
Hilton says both properties are expanding existing offerings into all-inclusive experiences. Its announcement describes Waldorf Astoria Riviera Maya as an elevated all-inclusive stay and Conrad Tulum Riviera Maya as a multi-generational all-inclusive retreat. These are Hilton’s descriptions of the resorts, not independent assessments of guest experience. Hilton announced the transition on October 1, 2026.

Which resort fits the age policy you need?
Waldorf Astoria: adults-only from January 10, 2027
For arrivals on or after January 10, 2027, Waldorf Astoria Riviera Maya is adults-only: registered guests must be at least 18. Travelers planning a family stay that begins on or after that date should confirm eligibility with Hilton or the resort before booking. Hilton’s announcement does not say how every affected reservation will be resolved.
Conrad Tulum: multi-generational resort with an adults-only section
Conrad remains an option for travelers of different ages. Ceiba Club is a dedicated adults-only section within the wider resort, not an adults-only policy for the entire property. Hilton identifies its registered guests as 18 or older.

Conrad’s official all-inclusive page lists the following inclusions:
- Dining at participating restaurants and bars.
- Premium alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
- Concierge and poolside service.
- Gratuities, taxes and service charges.
- Private round-trip airport transportation.
- A choice of one bespoke wellness, nature or family experience or excursion.
Asterisks on the offer page flag terms and conditions. Check the current offer for your dates to confirm the transport and experience details, participating venues, eligibility and any other restrictions before relying on them.

What is established about Waldorf’s package and booking terms?
Waldorf’s official all-inclusive offer page provides the current package information; availability is subject to availability and blackout dates. Confirm what the offer covers for your room and stay rather than assuming Conrad’s listed inclusions also apply at Waldorf.
Hilton says existing Waldorf reservations will be honored under the plan and terms confirmed at booking, except reservations that include guests under 18 with arrival dates on or after January 10, 2027. The announcement does not specify whether an affected booking will be changed, refunded or handled another way. Contact Hilton or the resort directly if your reservation falls into that exception.
How should you compare the stays before booking?
- Check the age rules against your arrival date. This is especially important for Waldorf stays beginning January 10, 2027, or later.
- Open the official offer for the resort you are considering. Review the package terms for your travel dates, room and party size.
- Verify the inclusions that matter to your budget. For Conrad, check the conditions on airport transport, the experience or excursion, and participating dining venues.
- Compare the actual booking totals. The announcement and reviewed official pages do not establish comparable live prices. Compare offers for the same dates, room type, party and package terms rather than inferring that one resort costs more or offers better value.
- Resolve any reservation exception directly. If a Waldorf booking includes a guest under 18 arriving on or after the policy change, ask Hilton or the resort what applies to that booking.
Conrad’s official property page lists 349 rooms and suites, each with a private plunge pool. That is a property detail, not a measure of package value; assess it alongside the room and terms actually offered for your stay.
