On April 17, 2025, it stopped offering the older bundle to new customers, grandfathered eligible existing customers at a Verizon-listed $15 per month, and introduced a $10-per-month replacement with ads on Disney+, Hulu and ESPN+. The cheaper option removes ad-free Disney+, and deleting the older perk can permanently eliminate the ability to get it back.
This change still matters in 2026 because your result depends on the exact Verizon plan, perk and billing arrangement shown in My Verizon.
What changed in Verizon’s Disney bundle?
Verizon’s older paid perk combined Disney+ Premium (no ads), Hulu with ads and ESPN+ with ads. Verizon now lists that legacy perk at $15 per month for customers who retain it. The replacement perk costs $10 per month and puts ads on all three services.
Verizon announced the change effective April 17, 2025. Its current support page, checked August 18, 2026, says the legacy perk is no longer available to add, although qualifying customers may keep it. See Verizon’s announcement and current FAQ.

The $5 monthly reduction is therefore a product downgrade for Disney+ users who dislike advertising, not an equivalent discount.
Who is affected?
Customers paying separately for the legacy perk
You can generally keep the grandfathered bundle, but Verizon’s current FAQ lists it at $15 per month. You cannot count on adding it again after removing it.

Customers switching to the $10 option
You save $5 per month compared with the listed legacy-perk price, but Disney+ changes to its ad-supported tier. Verizon says the change takes effect in the next billing period and that the old option may not be restored afterward.
Customers on older 5G Play More or 5G Get More-type plans
Some legacy plans included the bundle rather than charging a separate perk fee. Verizon says eligible customers can retain that inclusion while they remain on the qualifying plan. Changing plans can end the inclusion or turn the service into a paid subscription.

Customers changing to a current Verizon plan
A plan change can remove an included bundle, require you to choose a new perk, or convert a promotional subscription to paid billing. Verizon’s terms also warn that remaining time in a six- or 12-month promotion can be forfeited. Review the Disney bundle terms and For Fans terms for the offer attached to your account.
Verizon Home Internet and Fios customers
Wireless, 5G Home, LTE Home and Fios promotions are not interchangeable. Verizon’s Fios documentation describes six- or 12-month promotional access followed by the then-current retail price if qualifying service is canceled or changed; one current FAQ result lists $24.99 per month. Check the specific Fios offer terms.

Why the cheaper bundle can be worse value
- Tier downgrade: Disney+ moves from no ads to ads.
- Irreversible choice: Removing the legacy perk can make it unavailable permanently.
- Plan economics: A cheaper streaming perk does not make a more expensive Verizon plan worthwhile by itself.
- Different offers: Verizon’s legal pages show offer-specific conversion prices, including $18.99, $19.99, $24.99 and $26.99; none is a universal Disney-bundle price.
Compare your complete monthly cost: Verizon service plus the exact streaming tiers you use, rather than comparing $10 and $15 in isolation.
What happens when you cancel or change the perk?
Verizon says the legacy perk is not available to new customers. If you completely remove it, Verizon may move you to the ad-supported bundle, and the legacy tier may no longer be selectable. A qualifying wireless or home-internet plan change can also end an included benefit or begin billing at the then-current rate. Promotional months can disappear when the underlying plan changes.

How to identify your bundle before touching it
- Open My Verizon → Manage Products & plan perks.
- Select the Disney bundle tile and record the exact name, tier and monthly charge.
- Determine whether the benefit is included in your Verizon plan or billed as a separate perk.
- Screenshot the perk and renewal information.
- Calculate the cost of replacing the same Disney+, Hulu and ESPN tiers directly.
- Check whether each service is billed by Verizon, Disney, Hulu or another provider.
- Read the plan-change confirmation for lost promotional time or automatic conversion to paid billing.
Billing traps to avoid
Duplicate subscriptions
Verizon warns that enrollment can replace or pause some Disney+ subscriptions but may not cancel Hulu or subscriptions billed through another third party. You can therefore have both Verizon and direct charges.
Hulu setup and annual plans
Complete Hulu activation through Verizon’s Disney-provided link to receive the applicable credit. Hulu + Live TV and annual Hulu plans may require cancellation or conversion first; unused annual time may be forfeited without a refund.
Ending Verizon service
Canceling Verizon does not necessarily cancel a subscription billed directly by Disney, Hulu or another provider. Inspect each account’s billing page and cancel the old arrangement separately. Disney’s account guidance is at Disney+ subscription management.
Should you keep, switch or leave the bundle?
Keep the legacy perk when
- You regularly watch Disney+ and want it without ads.
- You use all three services.
- Your Verizon plan is competitive even without the entertainment benefit.
- You want to preserve grandfathered access.
Switch to the $10 perk when
- You want the lowest Verizon bundle charge.
- Ads on Disney+ are acceptable.
- You understand that the legacy tier may not be recoverable.
Leave Verizon’s bundle ecosystem when
- You rarely use Disney, Hulu or ESPN.
- You are keeping an expensive Verizon plan mainly for streaming.
- You need a Hulu tier that conflicts with Verizon activation.
- You want direct control while changing or canceling subscriptions.
Consider ESPN Unlimited
Sports-focused customers can check Verizon’s listed upgrade paths: $26 total for the ad-supported Disney/Hulu version with ESPN Unlimited, or $35 total for the no-ads Disney/Hulu version with ESPN Unlimited. Verify the included ESPN content and compare the total with buying services independently.
The practical bottom line
Do not remove a legacy Verizon Disney perk merely to test the $10 option. First identify whether your bundle is paid or included, price the exact replacement services, and confirm the effect on Hulu and any promotions. For a customer who values ad-free Disney+, the $15 legacy perk may still be the better value; for a light user who accepts ads, $10 may be reasonable. The right answer is determined by your full Verizon bill and the tiers you actually watch.
