The logo was only the visible part of a broader identity and product refresh: the benefits were not automatically free for every Verizon customer, and most depended on a plan, address, enrollment or promotional terms.
What changed in Verizon’s logo?
Verizon replaced its familiar checkmark-centered identity with a red “V” surrounded by a yellow glow. Verizon said the “V” connects with Veritas and Horizon, while the glow is intended to convey energy and forward movement. The company described the change as a refreshed identity and design system, not a new corporate name or a departure from its network brand heritage.
The rollout extended to color palettes, photography, advertising formats, television spots, digital experiences, apps, websites, retail locations and Verizon’s business, network and international branding. Verizon’s announcement is available at Verizon’s brand-refresh release.
Why did Verizon announce perks with the redesign?
Verizon presented the programs as practical expressions of a more flexible way for customers to live, work and play. The package combined home-internet and entertainment choices, device value and access to experiences. It was not a reward that every customer received merely because the logo changed; eligibility varied by service, plan and promotion.

myHome: internet and entertainment in one place
Verizon positioned myHome as a single place to select home internet, entertainment, connected-home services and live television. Customers could choose among available Fios, 5G Home or LTE Home offerings, so the menu was determined by the service address rather than by a nationwide entitlement. Verizon’s myHome announcement said pricing started at $35 per month with Auto Pay and select mobile plans. Qualified Verizon Forward customers could see starting prices of $20 per month.
Those were announcement figures, not universal current prices. The $35 figure depended on Auto Pay and qualifying mobile service, while the $20 figure required Verizon Forward eligibility. Verizon described Fios speeds of up to 2 Gbps in select areas; that is not a nationwide speed guarantee. The 2024 announcement also discussed a price guarantee lasting up to four years, but later Verizon offers used different price-lock structures, so customers should rely on the terms shown at checkout for their address.

Entertainment options announced in 2024
The launch list included Netflix and Max with ads; the Disney Bundle (Disney+, Hulu and ESPN+); YouTube Premium; and Walmart+ with Paramount+ included. Verizon said Apple One and Apple Music Family were coming later that summer. In the myHome context, these options were presented at $10 per month, but that historical price should not be treated as a standing universal rate.
Verizon’s current perks page shows how offers can change: it currently lists Disney+, Hulu and ESPN+ beginning at $10 per month and Netflix and HBO Max with ads beginning at $13 per month, alongside other products. Check whether the version includes advertising, whether taxes or upgrades are extra, and whether the subscription is a recurring paid perk or a limited promotion.

The trade-in offer: the fine print matters
Verizon said it expanded its “any model, any condition” smartphone trade-in program across eligible myPlan unlimited tiers for new and existing mobility customers. The launch footnote identified Apple, Samsung and Google as eligible brands and cited a maximum of up to $830 on Ultimate Unlimited.
- The maximum was not an instant cash payment and did not apply to every phone or plan.
- Promotional credits were spread over 36 months.
- For an existing-customer upgrade, the phone had to be active for 60 days before trade-in.
- The credit amount varied by myPlan tier and the device and promotion.
- Credits could stop if the line was canceled or other eligibility requirements were no longer met.
“Any condition” therefore describes the promotion’s stated acceptance concept, not an unrestricted promise of maximum value. Read the trade-in terms before sending a device, especially if you might change plans, pay off service early or upgrade before 36 credits are complete.

What Verizon Access actually provides
Verizon Access was described as a customer platform for concert and music-festival presales, ticket giveaways, selected seats and special experiences. Examples in the announcement included NFL-related opportunities, Copa América opportunities and red-carpet movie premieres.
Verizon said customers could use the program without a separate access fee. That does not mean every customer receives a ticket or free admission. Each event can impose its own registration deadline, inventory limit, location restriction or eligibility rule. Check the My Verizon app or the individual Verizon Access event page before assuming availability.

Is switching for the perks worthwhile?
Evaluate the total cost of service rather than the headline value of one subscription or trade-in credit.
- Price the complete bill. Include the base plan, Auto Pay requirements, taxes, fees, equipment and every line.
- List what you would lose. A move from a grandfathered plan can eliminate legacy discounts, included services, price protections or existing device credits.
- Compare subscriptions directly. Check Verizon’s current perk price against the service’s direct price, including whether Verizon’s version has ads and whether you already pay for it elsewhere.
- Confirm home-internet availability. Enter the exact address; Fios, 5G Home and LTE Home are not interchangeable nationwide.
- Model the trade-in commitment. Treat a 36-month credit as valuable only if you expect to keep the qualifying line and plan for the full period.
- Read activation and cancellation rules. Partner subscriptions may require separate registration and cancellation, and a promotional price can revert to the then-current rate.
Verizon’s historical subscription promotions illustrate why activation and expiration terms matter. Separate partner billing and renewal conditions were part of the terms in its Netflix and Peacock offer.
What changed after the 2024 refresh?
Verizon announced a separate customer-loyalty package on June 16, 2026. It introduced Verizon Loyalty, Verizon Dollars, Verizon Shine, Verizon Simplicity and Verizon One, along with fee waivers for eligible postpaid customers who opt in. Those initiatives are later developments and were not part of the June 26, 2024 logo announcement. Verizon explains that later rollout at How Verizon says it is changing the customer experience.
That distinction is important when reading current plan pages: today’s loyalty benefits, prices and price locks should not be retroactively attributed to the 2024 logo launch. Verify current terms on Verizon’s mobile plans, home-internet and +play pages before enrolling.

Verizon’s red-and-yellow “V” signaled a wider 2024 refresh built around choice, entertainment, device value and customer access. The practical value depended on address-level service, qualifying plans, recurring perk prices, promotional credits and event availability—not on the logo change itself.
