The AliExpress 11.11 promotion featuring UMIDIGI’s G9 phones ran from November 11 to 18, 2024, and is no longer a current sale. A sponsored Gizchina article published November 1, 2024, advertised discounts of up to 64% and highlighted the G9 5G, G9T and G9A. It did not provide model-specific sale prices or explain how the campaign’s “billion-dollar subsidy” was funded or allocated. Treat its specifications and discount claims as promotional, not as independent testing or proof of a deal available today.

What the 2024 promotion was—and what it was not
The promotion was an AliExpress sale campaign for UMIDIGI products, advertised for November 11–18, 2024. Gizchina’s article appeared on November 1 and identified itself as sponsored content. Its “up to 64% off” figure was the advertised maximum, not a documented discount on every product. The article did not supply the original and sale prices, coupon details, shipping costs, taxes, inventory limits or country-specific terms needed to calculate what a shopper would actually pay.
The same article promoted the G9 5G, G9T and G9A, as well as the G9 Tab, G7 Tab Pro, Active T1, G6 5G, A15T, A15, BISON GT2 5G and G3 Tab. It does not establish that every model was available to every shopper or on identical terms.
What “billion-dollar subsidy” means here
“Billion-dollar subsidy” was promotional language used for the AliExpress campaign. The available promotion does not explain how the fund was calculated, who funded it, how eligibility worked, which countries participated, or how much—if anything—was assigned to an individual UMIDIGI phone. It is not evidence that each device received a fixed subsidy or that the phrase describes a government payment.

For any marketplace offer, the meaningful comparison is the final delivered checkout total for the exact model and configuration. That can differ from a headline price because of seller or platform coupons, minimum-spend rules, limited quantities, shipping, import taxes and currency conversion. The 2024 article does not provide enough transaction detail to reconstruct that total, and its discount claim should not be used as evidence of current value.
How the advertised G9 phones compare
The following specifications are those stated in the sponsored promotion, not results from independent testing. “Extended RAM” is storage used as memory expansion; it is not additional physical RAM with equivalent performance.

The promotion lists battery capacities but provides no independent battery-life measurements. Camera megapixel counts and camera count likewise do not establish image quality. It supplies no benchmark results, camera samples, low-light or video assessment, or display testing.

Which G9 fits which buyer?
G9 5G: the most capable of the three on paper
The G9 5G is the clearest fit if you need 5G and the listing confirms support for your carrier’s bands and VoLTE. Its advertised T765 platform sits above the G9T’s T606 tier, and it has the higher stated main-camera resolution and memory configuration. Those specifications do not establish real-world speed, camera quality or long-term support. “6+6GB” should be read as up to 6GB physical RAM plus extended memory, not 12GB of physical RAM.
G9T: a simpler 4G option
The G9T may suit someone who does not need 5G and prioritizes a large 90Hz screen and a stated 5,000mAh battery. Its T606 processor and 13MP main camera make it the lower-tier choice in this trio on the advertised specifications. Consider it for basic everyday use rather than assuming the screen refresh rate or battery capacity guarantees a particular experience.

G9A: verify the listing before comparing prices
The G9A has the least complete specification sheet in the promotion. Before considering it, confirm the exact processor, physical RAM, storage, Android version, supported network bands, warranty and return terms on the specific listing. The advertised 10W charging is slower than the 18W stated for the other two G9 models.
Checks to make before buying an older or imported listing
- Network fit: Check the exact model number, LTE and 5G bands, VoLTE support, carrier certification, regional firmware and dual-SIM behavior. A “5G” label alone does not mean the phone supports every carrier’s network. Verify NFC separately if you need it.
- Software longevity: The promotion does not state the Android version, major-upgrade count, security-update duration or update frequency. Those unknowns matter if you expect to keep the phone for several years; confirm them with the seller or manufacturer rather than inferring support from the hardware list.
- Warranty and returns: Establish who handles warranty service, where repairs are available, who pays return shipping, how dead-on-arrival claims work and how refunds are processed. Check whether the device ships from a domestic or overseas warehouse.
- Seller and final cost: Review seller history, the exact memory configuration, shipping charges and any import taxes. Compare the delivered checkout total, not a crossed-out list price or headline discount, with alternatives sold through retailers offering clearer local returns.
- Features that matter to you: Confirm streaming-service requirements and certification if they are important; the sponsored promotion does not state Widevine certification or related compatibility details.
Current prices, stock and warranty terms for these models are not established by the 2024 promotion. Check the exact listing and regional terms on AliExpress or product and support information from UMIDIGI before deciding. If updates, dependable local service or known carrier compatibility outweigh the lowest headline price, compare against newer entry-level phones or refurbished devices from manufacturers with clearer support and returns.

Verdict
Among the three advertised phones, the G9 5G has the strongest stated feature set, the G9T is the more basic 4G option, and the G9A requires the most listing-level verification. Whether any was good value depended on the actual checkout price, regional compatibility and support terms—details the sponsored article does not establish. The AliExpress event ended on November 18, 2024, so it should not be treated as an active offer.
