Consumer complaints describe problems with TorqueBall purchases, product use, refunds and billing, but the available reports do not verify that a counterfeit device exploded or that a man lost a finger. Treat that injury claim as unconfirmed unless it is supported by reliable evidence.
What the reports say about TorqueBall
Two entries in the Better Business Bureau’s Scam Tracker describe complaints involving TorqueBall. A consumer report dated October 27, 2025, says the buyer had trouble using the product and obtaining a refund. A separate report, dated August 26, 2025 and categorized by the BBB as “Counterfeit Product,” describes delayed delivery, an item the complainant could not use, and difficulty getting a response about a return. Neither entry documents an explosion or a finger injury. BBB Scam Tracker
Trustpilot search results also include reviewers’ allegations about billing, using the product and getting refunds. Reviews are individual accounts, not independently adjudicated findings; they do not, by themselves, prove fraud or establish that every allegation is accurate. Trustpilot reviews
Is the finger-loss explosion claim verified?
No corroboration for the claimed finger-loss explosion was located in the available sources. The BBB’s “Counterfeit Product” category is a classification attached to a consumer report; it does not independently establish that a particular device was counterfeit, that it exploded, or that anyone was injured. The injury claim should therefore not be repeated as fact.

Confirming a serious injury allegation would require evidence tied to the specific incident, such as an identified victim or representative, contemporaneous medical or police documentation, identification of the device involved, and an independent account of the alleged explosion. Without that corroboration, the responsible description is that the claim remains unverified.
What a complaint can—and cannot—establish
Scam Tracker entries and review-platform posts can alert consumers to reported transaction or product problems. They are not official findings that a seller committed fraud, a product is counterfeit, or a device caused an injury. The reports also do not establish the seller’s intent or the authenticity and safety of every item sold under a similar name.

Gyro balls are a recognizable category of handheld devices that use a spinning rotor for hand and wrist exercise. That category-level description does not establish that a specific TorqueBall listing is authentic, safe, or clinically effective. Healthline’s overview of gyro balls

- Check who makes the item. Look for a clearly identified maker and model, and compare the listing with information from the maker rather than relying on the product name alone.
- Read the operating instructions. Check how the device is wound or started, how it is held, and whether the instructions explain safe use and any restrictions.
- Consider fit and grip. Size, weight, grip demands and startup method can affect whether the device is usable for you.
- Review return terms before paying. Save the listing, stated return conditions, order confirmation and seller communications.
- Be cautious about health promises. A listing for a general exercise device is not proof that it treats arthritis, pain, dementia or an injury.
If you have a problem with an order
- Keep a record. Save the listing, receipt, packaging, product instructions, photographs and messages with the seller.
- Contact the seller in writing. State the issue and the remedy you are seeking, such as a refund or return, and retain the response.
- Use the payment provider’s dispute process if needed. Check its deadlines and documentation requirements; the available reports do not establish a single remedy or outcome for every buyer.
- Report suspected misconduct through an appropriate consumer-protection channel. Describe what you personally experienced and distinguish it from claims you have not independently verified.
