That is evidence that these employers recruited from that programme—not proof that all 13 had an identical, open fresher vacancy on the same day. Check each employer’s live careers page for eligibility, location, graduation year, closing date and requisition number before applying.

The 2025 placement report identifies these 13 employers as hiring partners. The order below is editorial, not a ranking: the report does not provide a comparable vacancy count, salary table or acceptance rate.

What “hiring partner” means for a fresher
A hiring-partner listing means the employer recruited students from the named postgraduate programme during the report’s 2025 placement cycle. It does not establish a continuing campus agreement, a public job posting, a common qualification standard or a salary for applicants outside that programme.

Can a fresher apply for data scientist jobs?
Yes, but searching only for data scientist can hide entry-level work. Employers frequently label graduate openings by the problem area, team or engineering layer instead.

Official Tata Consultancy Services career material illustrates how broad the market is: its AI and data listings include ML Engineer (Deep Learning/Generative AI), Data Scientist, AI/ML Architect, AI/ML Researcher, Data Modeler and big-data roles. Its data-and-analytics listings also mention Google Data Engineer, Azure Data Factory, Databricks Developer, Snowflake Developer and Data Scientist. These are examples of search language, not a claim that every role is open to every graduate.
Where to apply for graduate data roles in India
Tata Consultancy Services
TCS is not part of the 13-company placement-report list, but its official careers material is a useful model for searching adjacent roles. The company states that its listed AI and data roles apply across India and directs applicants to sign up or log in to iBegin. It also maintains an Entry Level & Internships route.

TCS describes its data careers page with the line, “Your future in data starts here.” Its claim of being ranked No. 1 tech employer in India on LinkedIn’s 2025 Top Companies list is an employer-branding accolade, not evidence of a particular fresher vacancy.
Infosys
Infosys has a dedicated Graduates careers page, which is the appropriate starting point for an early-career search. Its statement that it was a Top Employer 2025 for the fifth consecutive year is a certification claim, not a vacancy count or guarantee of selection.
How to verify a vacancy before applying
- Start on the employer’s official careers portal. Search the company name together with the role families above rather than relying on an aggregator’s copy.
- Set the geography. Confirm country and city, and whether the listing is office-based, hybrid or remote if that information is provided.
- Check eligibility line by line. Record the required degree, graduation year, experience limit, skills, work authorisation and any percentage or academic cut-off.
- Check the closing date and requisition ID. Save both before you begin an application.
- Reopen the official listing immediately before submission. Live pages can change, close early or update their requirements.
- Follow the named assessment stages. Keep the job description and confirmation email so you can prepare for any screening, test, interview or case exercise described there.
How to compare two fresher opportunities
Do not choose on employer name alone. Score each live requisition against the same six questions:
- Graduate route: Is there a clearly identified entry-level, graduate or campus channel?
- Role-family fit: Does the day-to-day title match your strongest skills, whether analysis, engineering, modelling or consulting?
- Technical exposure: Which languages, cloud services, databases, modelling tools or production systems are explicitly named?
- Location and work model: Can you meet the stated office, shift, relocation and attendance requirements?
- Selection process: What assessments and interview stages are actually described?
- Evidence quality: Is the information on a current employer posting, or only in a college placement announcement or third-party listing?
What is not known about salaries and rankings
No comparable, source-backed salary or vacancy ranking is available for all 13 companies. A placement-partner list cannot support a claim that one employer pays more, hires more freshers or offers better acceptance odds than another.
