The catch: Pixel 11 changes the timing
As of August 18, 2026, Pixel 11 preorders were open and an August 20 release was reported by Tom’s Guide: Pixel 11 timing and buying context. That creates three uncertainties.
- Pixel 10 inventory and colors may disappear, or the price may fall further after Pixel 11 reaches stores.
- Pixel 11 launch promotions may reduce the effective difference between the two generations.
- The older phone’s resale value is likely to face pressure once Pixel 11 is widely available.
Pixel 11 being newer does not automatically make it the better value. Reliable testing is needed before making claims about camera processing, battery behavior, modem performance, gaming or new AI features.
