The six deals in Google’s early 2024 sale
The roundup referred to direct Google Store discounts, not every Black Friday promotion available at Amazon, Best Buy, Walmart, wireless carriers or other retailers. The original report listed these prices:
| Product | Historical sale price | Stated saving | Best suited to | Key caveat | Status |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Nest Audio | $49 | $50 | Inexpensive smart speaker or gift | Older hardware and changing assistant features | November 2024 historical price |
| Nest Cam | $119 | $60 | Google Home-connected monitoring | Exact generation and wired/battery configuration matter; some features require a subscription | November 2024 historical price |
| Nest Wifi Pro two-pack | $199 | $100 | New Wi-Fi 6E mesh installation | Not compatible with older Google Wifi or Nest Wifi hardware | November 2024 historical price |
| Nest Thermostat | $89 | $40 | App-controlled heating and cooling | HVAC compatibility and rebate eligibility must be checked | November 2024 historical price |
| Fitbit Versa 4 | $119 | $80 | Lower-cost fitness smartwatch | Less capable than a full Wear OS or Pixel Watch | November 2024 historical price |
| Fitbit Sense 2 | $179 | $70 | Fitbit users wanting additional health sensors | Age, feature availability and service requirements need checking | November 2024 historical price |
These prices and the exclusion of Pixel phones and watches come from the original November 7, 2024 coverage: Droid Life’s roundup.
Which discount was strongest?
Largest dollar saving: Nest Wifi Pro
The historical $100 reduction was the biggest cash saving in the list. It makes sense only if you are building a new Google mesh network. Google says a single Nest Wifi Pro router covers up to 2,200 square feet and supports Wi-Fi 6E, although walls, interference, layout and client devices affect real coverage. The current product information also warns that it cannot be combined with previous-generation Nest Wifi or Google Wifi units. See the Nest Wifi Pro product page and Google’s configuration guidance.

- Attention-grabbing design meets the latest evolution of the Google Pixel Camera on the new Google Pixel 11 Pro; Gemini Intelligence helps manage details so you can live in the moment[1]; and the phone is available in two sizes
- Unlocked Android phone gives you the flexibility to change carriers and choose your own data plan: Works with Google Fi, Verizon, T-Mobile, AT&T, and other major carriers[2]
- Stay informed without looking at your screen: When your phone is face down, Pixel HiLight gently alerts you with subtle glowing lights when your favorite contacts are calling or you’re talking with Gemini; exclusive to Google Pixel 11 Pro phones
- Magic Capture catches the moment as you live it: With just one tap, Pixel 11 Pro captures video and photos, and automatically edits, crops, and unblurs a curated collection, ready to share – and you get the memory of how it felt to be in the moment
- Two new cameras for more brilliant photos: A larger telephoto sensor captures 30% more light for clear, beautiful photos and videos, even in the dark[3]; Pixel’s longest zoom ever helps you capture details from impressive distances[4]
Largest percentage saving: Fitbit Versa 4
$80 off a stated $199 price is approximately 40%, the highest percentage reduction among the six products. That is attractive for basic activity, sleep, notifications, GPS and Google ecosystem functions, but a large discount does not turn an aging model into a substitute for a Pixel Watch.
Best inexpensive gift: Nest Audio
At $49, Nest Audio was the easiest low-cost purchase. It suits buyers already using Google Cast or Google Home, but compare it with newer speakers and inexpensive Bluetooth models if voice control is not important.
Rank #2
- Google Pixel 10a is a durable, everyday phone with more[1]; snap brilliant photography on a simple, powerful camera, get 30+ hours out of a full charge[2], and do more with helpful AI like Gemini[3]
- Unlocked Android phone gives you the flexibility to change carriers and choose your own data plan; it works with Google Fi, Verizon, T-Mobile, AT&T, and other major carriers
- Pixel 10a is sleek and durable, with a super smooth finish, scratch-resistant Corning Gorilla Glass 7i display, and IP68 water and dust protection[4]
- The Actua display with 3,000-nit peak brightness shows up clear as day, even in direct sunlight[5]
- Plan, create, and get more done with help from Gemini, your built-in AI assistant[3]; have it screen spam calls while you focus[6]; chat with Gemini to brainstorm your meal plan[7], or bring your ideas to life with Nano Banana[8]
Product-by-product buying advice
Nest Audio
Buy it for an inexpensive Google smart-home speaker or multi-room audio setup. Think twice if you want the newest voice-assistant capabilities, the strongest standalone sound, or a speaker that will remain current for many years. Google’s gift-guide page is the relevant official buying destination: Google Store gift guide.
Nest Cam
Confirm the exact model before comparing prices: “Nest Cam” can mean indoor, outdoor, wired, battery or floodlight versions. Google Home integration is the main reason to choose it. Event history and advanced detection can involve Google Home Premium after a trial; the Google Store’s offer terms have listed Standard at $10 per month or $100 per year and Advanced at $20 per month or $200 per year, with model-specific eligibility and automatic renewal unless canceled. Check the current terms at the Google Store offers page.
Nest Wifi Pro
Choose it when you are starting a new Wi-Fi 6E mesh system and want Google Home management. Do not buy it as an expansion unit for an existing Google Wifi or older Nest Wifi network. Compare one-, two- and three-pack coverage rather than percentage savings; the current product page lists configurations separately.
Nest Thermostat
The base Nest Thermostat is not the Nest Learning Thermostat. Google says the base model works with 85% of systems and directs buyers to verify compatibility; some installations require a C wire or Nest Power Connector. Google describes typical installation as 30 minutes or less, not a guarantee for every wiring setup. The product page lists a regular price of $129.99 and may show energy-provider rebates, but rebate amounts depend on ZIP code and utility provider and should not be counted as an instant discount: Nest Thermostat details and compatibility check.
Rank #4
- Google Pixel 10 Pro is the ultimate Pixel experience, featuring advanced AI with Gemini, unbelievable camera quality, impeccable design in two sizes, and the next-gen Google Tensor G5 chip[1]
- Unlocked Android phone gives you the flexibility to change carriers and choose your own data plan[2]; it works - Google Fi, Verizon, T-Mobile, AT&T, and other major carriers
- Get a head start on syncing your data before it even arrives: After you purchase your new Pixel, look for an email that explains how to transfer your photos, videos, passwords, and more in just a few quick steps[11]
- Pixel’s pro camera system makes everything look amazing, even in low light; capture more of the scene with advanced Google AI models, and bring out incredible details with 100x Pro Res Zoom, stunning 50 MP images, and super steady videos in 8K[10]
- Pixel 10 Pro is built with durable aluminum and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 for scratch and drop resistance; the 6.3-inch Super Actua display with 3,300-nit peak brightness is easy on the eyes, even in direct sunlight[3,13,18]
Fitbit Versa 4
Versa 4 is the better value for buyers who mainly want fitness, sleep, notifications, GPS and basic smartwatch functions. It is a weaker choice for rich third-party apps, LTE or the broadest phone integration. Features can vary by phone, operating system, country and Fitbit account status.
Fitbit Sense 2
Sense 2 is the health-focused option, with additional stress and wellness sensors compared with the Versa line. Buyers seeking a full Wear OS app experience, LTE or serious endurance-training tools may be better served by a Pixel Watch or Garmin. Google’s comparison explains the feature distinction, but it was published in November 2023, so current software and regional support should be checked: Google’s Fitbit comparison.
Best Value
- Google Pixel 7 is powered by Google Tensor G2; it’s faster, more efficient, and more secure, with the best photo and video quality yet on Pixel[1].Other camera description:Front,Rear.Bluetooth Version 5.2 with dual antennas for enhanced quality and connection.
- Unlocked Android 5G phone gives you the flexibility to change carriers and choose your own data plan[2]; works with Google Fi, Verizon, T-Mobile, AT&T, and other major carriers
- Pixel’s Adaptive Battery can last over 24 hours; when Extreme Battery Saver is turned on, it can last up to 72 hours[3]
- The 6.3-inch Pixel 7 display is super sharp, with rich, vivid colors; it’s fast and responsive for smoother gaming, scrolling, and moving between apps[4]
- Google Pixel 7 has wide and ultrawide lenses with up to 8x Super Res Zoom[5]; and Cinematic Blur brings more drama to your videos
Buy now or wait for Black Friday?
Buy early when
- The exact price is confirmed as a near-record low by a reliable price history.
- You need the product for a fixed installation or gift date and it may sell out.
- The seller offers straightforward returns or price adjustment.
- The discount is an immediate price reduction rather than financing, trade-in credit or a service commitment.
Wait when
- You are shopping for a Pixel phone or Pixel Watch; neither appeared in this early roundup.
- The discount is modest, a successor is available, or the product is already several years old.
- The advertised value depends on a trade-in, new wireless line, installment plan or bill credits.
- You need time to compare retailer-exclusive bundles or a likely main-event Black Friday offer.
The omission of Pixel hardware matters: an early Nest/Fitbit promotion did not represent Google’s complete holiday pricing strategy. Google has previously explained Black Friday and deal discovery through its own shopping channels in this holiday guide and this Google Shopping overview.
Do not confuse historical prices with current offers
The Google Store offers page retrieved for June 2026 showed different, dated promotions, including Fitbit Charge 6 at $99.95, Versa 4 at $149.95, Sense 2 at $199.95, Nest Wifi Pro one-pack at $99.99, three-pack at $279.99, Nest Thermostat at $99.99, Nest Learning Thermostat fourth generation at $239.99, Nest Cam with floodlight at $179.99, Nest Doorbell Battery at $129.99 and Nest Cam Battery two-pack at $249.99. Those terms said the promotions ended June 28, 2026, while supplies lasted; they are historical signals, not confirmed August prices. Check the live U.S. offers page before treating any figure as available.
Quick Recap
Costs and eligibility that can change the value
- Subscriptions: Camera history and advanced detection may require Google Home Premium after a trial.
- Utility rebates: A thermostat rebate depends on your ZIP code and energy provider, so it is separate from the checkout price.
- Compatibility: Verify HVAC wiring before buying a thermostat and network generations before buying Wifi Pro.
- Pack size: The historical $199 Wifi Pro listing appears to have been a two-pack; current one- and three-packs are not equivalent.
- Region and stock: The prices discussed are U.S.-specific and may be limited by color, inventory and expiration date.
- Alternative ecosystems: Pixel Watch favors full Wear OS and Pixel integration; Garmin favors training and battery life; Apple Watch favors iPhone users; non-Google mesh and camera systems may offer different controls or compatibility.
