The Tech World Buzzes: EZFunnels’ Reported $21.6 Million Acquisition by Najd Ventures

Tech Times reported on October 23, 2023, that Najd Ventures Equity Group acquired EZFunnels for $21.6 million. That is a documented media claim—not independently confirmed deal evidence. No purchase agreement, buyer announcement, regulatory filing, transaction date, ownership percentage or payment structure was located, so the amount should not be described as a verified cash price or completed closing.

What was actually reported

Carl Williams’ Tech Times article, published October 23, 2023, said Najd Ventures Equity Group acquired EZFunnels for $21.6 million. A second Tech Times article published the same day repeated the transaction and described it as Said Shiripour’s exit. The articles establish that the claim was published; they do not independently prove that the deal closed on those terms.

The coverage does not say whether $21.6 million represented cash, shares, assumed liabilities, enterprise value, an earn-out, a majority stake or a headline valuation. It also does not identify a signing or closing date, advisers, financing sources or a purchase agreement. Repetition in two articles from the same publication is not independent corroboration.

What EZFunnels does

EZFunnels’ website presents the service as an all-in-one funnel-marketing and online-business platform. Its advertised toolkit includes:

  • Drag-and-drop landing-page and funnel building
  • Niche templates
  • Automated webinars
  • Membership areas and video hosting
  • Contact management and lead tracking
  • Analytics and cloud storage
  • Connections to email and payment services
  • A 14-day free trial

The site positions the product for affiliates, coaches, consultants, information-product sellers and other small online businesses that want fewer separate marketing tools. These are advertised capabilities, not independent tests, and the website does not establish that every feature, limit or integration remains unchanged in 2026.

Said Shiripour’s role

Tech Times identified Said Shiripour as EZFunnels’ founder and former chief executive. Company-distributed material describes him as a German software entrepreneur associated with EZFunnels, Memberwunder, Webinarfly and EZPlayer, and says he concentrated on developing and optimizing EZFunnels from 2021 onward. Those biographical and business-performance descriptions come from company publicity rather than audited filings.

A 2022 GlobeNewswire release called EZFunnels a “$58 million” SaaS solution, but that figure is a company-supplied promotional claim and should not be treated as independently verified revenue or valuation. The release is available at GlobeNewswire.

Who is Najd Ventures?

The Tech Times report calls the buyer Najd Ventures Equity Group and associates it with Saudi Arabia and the wider Middle Eastern technology ecosystem. The available material does not establish its exact legal entity, incorporation country, owners, investment managers, assets under management, fund structure, headquarters or prior acquisitions. A name and regional description are not enough to classify it as a private-equity fund, family office or holding company.

Why the deal could have made strategic sense

If a transaction occurred, an integrated funnel platform could offer an investor recurring software revenue, an established digital-marketing product and access to international online sellers. The article also suggested possible investment in product development, integrations, artificial-intelligence features and Middle Eastern expansion.

Those are possible rationales, not documented outcomes. The report contains no buyer statement proving that any of those initiatives were funded or launched. It also supplies no independent revenue, retention, profitability, user-count or customer-concentration data from which to calculate a valuation multiple.

EZFunnels’ earlier product roadmap

A 2022 company-distributed announcement described planned blogging and payment connections, including Payoneer and Stripe, and discussed a future version 2.0. It also described an ambition to reach more German-speaking businesses. The announcement is preserved by Newsfile. These statements document the company’s stated plans at the time, not proof that every feature was delivered or remains available.

What remains unverified

  • Whether Najd Ventures signed or completed an acquisition
  • Whether $21.6 million was paid, promised, financed or used as a valuation headline
  • What percentage of EZFunnels or related software assets changed hands
  • Whether Shiripour left completely or remained involved
  • EZFunnels’ current owner, management, pricing, support and operating status
  • Any post-deal product investment, customer growth or regional expansion

There is no evidence in the available sources that confirms current ownership, customer outcomes or post-acquisition performance. Expectations in a 2023 article should not be treated as present-day facts.

What customers and prospective buyers should check

Anyone considering EZFunnels for a business should verify the service directly before moving mission-critical campaigns or customer data:

  1. Confirm the current legal operator, pricing, trial conversion terms and cancellation process.
  2. Ask whether contacts, pages, videos, funnels, email sequences and payment connections can be exported in usable formats.
  3. Review the current privacy policy, data-processing terms, storage locations and breach-notification commitments.
  4. Test support response times and document how account recovery works.
  5. Check compatibility with the required email provider, payment processor, webinar workflow and membership functions.
  6. Maintain backups and a migration plan so a platform outage or shutdown does not interrupt sales.
  7. Use a short trial or limited campaign before committing a large advertising budget or a full customer database.

Alternatives to compare

Platform Visible positioning Published pricing signal Important trade-off
EZFunnels Integrated funnels, webinars, memberships, video and contacts 14-day free trial advertised; a reliable current paid-price table was not established Verify ownership, support, exports, integrations and current maintenance before migrating
ClickFunnels Funnels, landing pages, courses, memberships, stores, contacts and email tools Its reviewed 2026 page listed $97, $197 and $297 monthly plans, plus an annual-only $5,997 plan; annual billing showed $81, $164 and $248 monthly equivalents More visible plan structure, but lower tiers carry stated limits on contacts, emails, courses, workspaces or related resources
systeme.io Funnels, email marketing, courses, automation and migration services Its migration page advertises a $97-per-month Unlimited plan, unlimited contacts/courses/students, free done-for-you migration on that monthly plan or annual plans, and a free plan for up to 2,000 contacts Confirm feature parity; payment history remains with the payment processor rather than moving into the new platform

ClickFunnels pricing details are listed at clickfunnels.com/pricing. systeme.io’s migration and plan claims appear at systeme.io/migrate-from-clickfunnels. Prices and limits can change, so verify them before purchasing.

Bottom line on the $21.6 million claim

The EZFunnels acquisition is a real, specifically dated media report: Tech Times said on October 23, 2023 that Najd Ventures Equity Group bought the company for $21.6 million. The available evidence does not independently establish that the transaction closed, what the consideration included or who owns EZFunnels now. Treat the figure as a reported amount until Najd Ventures, EZFunnels or primary transaction documents confirm the terms.
