The new IHG One Rewards Premier Select card pairs a 200,000-point welcome offer with annual hotel, airline and status benefits—but its $350 annual fee makes it compelling mainly for travelers who will use several of them. Chase and IHG announced the limited-time offer on October 1, 2026: spend $5,000 in the first three months after opening an account to earn 200,000 bonus points, through November 18, 2026. The points do not have a guaranteed cash value, and the card’s credits and award night come with conditions.
What the Premier Select offer includes
The current U.S. launch offer is 200,000 IHG One Rewards bonus points after $5,000 in purchases during the first three months from account opening. The offer is announced through November 18, 2026; check the Chase application page for current availability and terms before applying. The card has a $350 annual fee and a variable APR of 19.49%–27.99% listed by Chase.
Chase promotes more than $1,000 in first-year value. That is the issuer’s estimate, not a guaranteed return: the value of IHG points depends on the hotel and dates, and a cardholder may not use every credit or award. The official materials do not establish a universal dollar value for the 200,000 points.
Which benefits can offset the $350 fee?
Assess each benefit by what you are likely to use, not its headline maximum. The card’s annual benefits and earning rates are summarized in IHG’s October 1, 2026 announcement; detailed conditions appear on Chase’s product page.
#1 Best Overall
- Food and beverage: Up to $300 in annual Food & Beverage Rewards at IHG properties. Chase describes quarterly $75 vouchers, so the full amount requires using each voucher within its applicable terms and window; it is not unrestricted cash.
- Airline purchases: A $200 annual statement credit for qualifying flight purchases. It has a qualifying-spend condition and annual window, so confirm the detailed rules and whether your normal bookings qualify.
- United: Up to $50 in United TravelBank Cash. Treat this as a limited-use travel benefit, not a cash rebate.
- Anniversary night: One free night each cardmember anniversary, capped at a 60,000-point redemption. You may add your own IHG points, subject to the award-night rules and availability at the property and dates you want.
- IHG earning: Up to 28X total points on IHG stays, 6X on dining and other travel, including rideshare, and 3X on other purchases. The 28X figure is the stated total earning rate on eligible IHG stays, not a separate multiplier to add to the other rates.
- Elite status and nights: Automatic Platinum Elite status and 20 Elite Night Credits per calendar year, with additional credits available through card spending under published rules. The credits can help with status progress, but their value depends on how often you stay and what status benefits matter to you.
- Fourth Reward Night: When redeeming points for four consecutive nights, the fourth Reward Night is free.
How it compares with IHG’s lower-fee cards
IHG’s portfolio announcement lists the regular Premier card at $150 per year and a no-annual-fee card. The benefits differ; the right comparison is the annual fee against benefits you will actually use, not the nominal maximum value of every credit.
| Card | Annual fee | Food and beverage | Airline benefit | Anniversary night | Status and Elite Night Credits |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Premier Select | $350 (IHG/Chase, 2026) | Up to $300 annually (IHG, 2026) | $200 annual statement credit on qualifying flight purchases; up to $50 in United TravelBank Cash (IHG, 2026) | One night capped at 60,000 points; cardholder may add points (IHG, 2026) | Platinum Elite; 20 credits per calendar year, with additional credits tied to spending under published rules (IHG, 2026) |
| Premier | $150 (IHG, 2026) | Up to $100 annually (IHG, 2026) | $100 annual airline statement credit (IHG, 2026) | One night capped at 50,000 points; cardholder may add points (IHG, 2026) | Gold Elite; 15 Elite Night Credits (IHG, 2026) |
| No-annual-fee IHG card | $0 (IHG, 2026) | Not stated in IHG’s October 1, 2026 portfolio announcement | Not stated in IHG’s October 1, 2026 portfolio announcement | Not stated in IHG’s October 1, 2026 portfolio announcement | Silver Elite; five Elite Night Credits (IHG, 2026) |
The no-annual-fee card’s fourth-night-free benefit is tied to $5,000 in annual spending, according to IHG’s portfolio announcement. Do not assume it has the same credits or anniversary-night terms as the paid cards.

Who is most likely to find it compelling?
It may fit frequent IHG guests
The Premier Select is the strongest candidate if you stay at IHG properties regularly, can use the quarterly food-and-beverage vouchers, make eligible flight purchases that trigger the airline credit, and can redeem the anniversary night at a property where the 60,000-point cap works for your plans. Platinum status and 20 annual Elite Night Credits may also matter if they complement your existing travel pattern.
The Premier may be the better value for occasional guests
The regular Premier costs $200 less per year than Premier Select, while offering smaller listed food-and-beverage and airline benefits, a lower anniversary-night cap, Gold status and five fewer annual Elite Night Credits. If you would not use the Select’s additional credits or status enough to justify that difference, the lower-fee card deserves a close look.

Avoid valuing unused benefits at face value
For a practical comparison, count a credit only if you already expect to make a qualifying purchase and can use it within its terms. Count an anniversary night only if award availability and the points cap suit a trip you would take. Do not assign the bonus points a fixed cash value: redemption value varies by stay.

To earn the launch bonus, you must make $5,000 in purchases within three months of opening the account. Apply only if that spending fits your ordinary budget and can be paid in full. Chase lists a variable APR of 19.49%–27.99%; carrying a balance can quickly cost more in interest than rewards are worth. The welcome offer is not a reason to borrow or make purchases you would not otherwise make.
