That is a $600 reduction—about 46% off the listed price—but it is not clearly the phone’s lowest price ever across all colors and retailers. Historical records show some variants below $699.99.

Best Buy’s Mountain Trail product page shows the unlocked 512GB model and comparison price. Shipping, pickup, stock and color availability can depend on ZIP code. The $1,299.99 figure is Best Buy’s displayed comparison price, not proof that the phone currently sells for that amount elsewhere.
Before paying, confirm the listing is for the 2025 Ultra—not the Razr+, base Razr or 2026 Ultra—and check condition, return eligibility, warranty terms, tax and shipping. The official Motorola U.S. support page provides the 2025 model’s user guide; consult current warranty and repair terms rather than assuming they match those of a conventional phone.
Is $699.99 the lowest price ever?
Not on the evidence available across colors and sellers. “Lowest ever” might mean a tracker’s lowest recorded listing, a particular color’s lowest price, an offer requiring a coupon or membership, or the lowest straight price for a new unlocked phone. Those are not interchangeable. Price trackers may not capture every regional promotion, marketplace seller, coupon or checkout condition.

| Pantone Cabaret | $684.99 | Pricehistory.app records this low on June 23, 2026. Variant price history |
| Pantone Rio Red | $699.99 | Pricehistory.app records this low on June 26, 2026. Variant price history |
| Pantone Mountain Trail | $640.45 | A price-history result reports this figure, but does not expose enough detail to confirm its date, retailer, condition or terms. Variant price history |
| Amazon Prime Day coverage | $684.99 | Android Authority described this as the lowest price it had seen for the phone in 2026; that is a dated publication claim, not a permanent all-color record. Android Authority |
Android Central previously called a $699.99 Amazon offer a record low when that deal was reported. That wording described the offer at the time, not a universal record that remains true across later dates, colors and sellers. Read that deal coverage.
The practical takeaway: $699.99 is a substantial straight-price discount and a strong current offer if the exact new, unlocked color you want is in stock. It should not be advertised as the absolute lowest price ever for every version.

What $699.99 gets you—and what it does not
You are buying last year’s premium flip phone with 512GB of storage, at a price far below Best Buy’s displayed comparison figure. The unlocked listing offers flexibility to use a compatible carrier without buying through a carrier promotion. For a shopper who wants a compact foldable and does not need the newest generation, the lower upfront cost may matter more than having the latest model.
The price alone does not establish the phone’s performance, battery life, camera quality, durability or remaining software-support period. Nor does it guarantee the same condition and return rights across every listing. Compare the exact SKU, seller, condition and checkout terms rather than treating open-box, refurbished, marketplace or carrier-credit offers as equivalent to a new unlocked purchase.

Best Buy lists the 2025 and 2026 Razr Ultra as separate product families. Best Buy’s search results can help distinguish the generations, but the available information here does not establish a current 2026 price or a like-for-like specification comparison.
Compare the actual sale price of the 2026 model with the 2025 phone’s $699.99 checkout total—not simply launch or list prices. Factor in the value you place on newer hardware and any remaining support period, and verify both models’ specifications and support terms before deciding. A trade-in or carrier bill-credit deal also needs a separate calculation: include the required plan, trade-in value and total service cost rather than comparing only the headline discount.

Should you buy now or wait?
Buy now if
- You specifically want a flip foldable and the 512GB unlocked configuration.
- You can get a new unit in your preferred color for $699.99, with return and warranty terms you accept.
- The price gap to the 2026 model is more important to you than buying the newest generation.
Compare or wait if
- You want the latest model or are prioritizing the longest remaining support life.
- Your preferred color is unavailable, or the advertised price applies to a different condition or offer type.
- You are considering open-box, refurbished or carrier-credit inventory and need to weigh warranty, return rights, device condition and total plan cost.
Foldables add hinge and flexible-display considerations to a purchase. Check the seller’s return process and inspect the hinge, inner and outer displays, cameras and included accessories promptly after delivery or pickup. A lower sticker price is not enough to offset unclear return or repair terms.
At checkout, review the total after tax and shipping, verify unlocked status and condition, and confirm that the color and model number match the product you intended to buy. Inventory and pickup options can change by location.
