Amazon’s 2025 Black Friday Week and Cyber Monday event ended December 1, 2025, and the “still live” roundup appeared on December 2. As of October 1, 2026, those prices should be treated as historical, not as offers you can still claim.
Use the benchmarks below to judge any Kindle listing you find now, and decide whether buying today makes sense or waiting for Black Friday and Cyber Monday 2026 is wiser. Cyber Monday falls on November 30, 2026.

What happened to the “still live” Cyber Monday deals?
Amazon’s event ran through December 1, 2025, according to its announcement at Amazon’s press site. TechRadar’s matching article was published December 2, 2025, immediately after the event: its historical bundle coverage.

Deal links often survive after a promotion ends. They may redirect to a full-price device, a newer generation, a different storage option, a marketplace seller or an unavailable bundle. Report an offer as expired unless the exact model, configuration and terms can be reproduced on the retailer page.
Historical prices worth using as benchmarks
Basic Kindle
A broader December 2025 roundup cited $79.99 for the entry-level Kindle: TechRadar’s coverage. Treat that as a dated benchmark, not a guaranteed normal price or current low.

Kindle Colorsoft
TechRadar described the Colorsoft as about 32% off during Cyber Monday 2025 and called it an all-time low at that time: the report. During Prime Day 2026, another TechRadar report cited $159 against a stated $249 reference price: the Prime Day article. Neither figure establishes the October 2026 price.
Kindle Scribe
Amazon reported discounts of up to 38% on a 64GB Kindle Scribe Essentials Bundle during Cyber Monday 2025: Amazon’s event coverage. “Up to” applied to the maximum reported discount, not every Scribe configuration.

Which Kindle fits your use?
Basic Kindle: lowest-cost entry
Choose it for novels, indoor reading and a compact, inexpensive device. Its smaller screen and simpler feature set make it less suitable for large PDFs, comics and extensive annotation.
Paperwhite: the default recommendation
Paperwhite is the strongest general-purpose choice for readers who want a larger screen and water resistance without paying Colorsoft or Scribe prices. Confirm the exact model’s water-resistance specification before purchase; it is not a blanket feature across every Kindle.
Paperwhite Signature Edition: premium monochrome
Extra storage and convenience features help readers with large libraries, audiobooks or comics. If you mainly read ordinary novels, a modest discount may not justify the higher price.
Colorsoft: pay for color deliberately
Colorsoft is aimed at comics, graphic novels, magazines, cookbooks, children’s books and color highlighting. Color does not automatically improve conventional black-and-white text, so compare the premium with how often you will use the color layer. Verify the generation and current firmware or display qualifications on the product page.

Scribe makes sense for students, professionals and journal users who will annotate heavily. It is larger, costlier and less portable than ordinary e-readers. Compare a bundle’s cover and pen with buying those accessories separately.
Kids editions: value depends on the package
Amazon’s Prime Day 2026 description included a child-friendly cover, six months of Amazon Kids+ and a two-year warranty for cited Kindle Kids offers: Amazon’s coverage. Those inclusions are promotion-specific. Check the current subscription term, renewal terms and warranty before treating the bundle as a bargain.

- Buy now when you need a device, the effective price approaches a reliable major-sale low, and the exact configuration is new and covered by acceptable returns and warranty.
- Wait when the discount is small, the listing uses an inflated reference price, the model appears to be old stock, or you can comfortably wait until November 30.
- Be cautious with bundles when you already own a compatible cover, do not need a Scribe pen, or would not use a subscription.
- Do not infer a future price. Historical lows are useful comparison points, not promises about Cyber Monday 2026.
Check the real cost before calling it a deal
- Confirm whether the listing is new, refurbished, renewed or used.
- Match generation, storage, color and ad-supported versus ad-free status.
- Identify the seller and fulfillment source.
- Apply any coupon, Prime requirement, trade-in credit or payment-method restriction to the effective price.
- Compare device-only and bundle prices, including realistic accessory values.
- Include sales tax, shipping and any subscription renewal.
- Read return and warranty terms, especially for marketplace and refurbished listings.

- Open the retailer’s product page rather than relying on an old deal article.
- Match the exact model, generation, storage, color and bundle contents.
- Check condition, seller, fulfillment, advertising status and stock.
- Expand coupon and price details and record any membership or trade-in requirements.
- Compare the device-only price with the bundle and accessory prices.
- Check a reputable price-history service such as CamelCamelCamel, while remembering that trackers may miss coupons, bundles and regional offers.
- Review returns, warranty coverage and subscription renewal terms.
- Record the final checkout price and the date and time checked.
Prices and availability can change by seller, location, membership, storage and advertising option. A responsible deal note should display its last-checked date and time.
