In Travel + Leisure’s 2024 reader ranking, Singapore Airlines placed first with a score of 90.89, just 0.01 points ahead of La Compagnie. Emirates, All Nippon Airways (ANA), and Qatar Airways rounded out the top five. The results reflect participating readers’ ratings for that year—not a current or independently tested comparison of fares, routes, safety, or every airline product.
2024 international airline ranking
The following 15 positions and scores are reported in a reproduction of T+L’s 2024 ranking. They are reader ratings, not an independent performance measure. Dinogo’s reproduced ranking provides the detailed list; EVA Air’s announcement separately confirms the airline’s No. 10 placement.

How the reader ranking was determined
The reproduced ranking says readers evaluated airlines on cabin comfort, in-flight service, customer support, and value for money. Each category used a five-point response scale—excellent, above average, average, below average, or poor—and final scores were averages. EVA Air’s announcement describes a similar five-level scale, but calls the fourth category “overall evaluation” rather than “value for money.” Without the original airline-category article, that wording difference cannot be resolved.
T+L’s 2024 World’s Best Awards overview identifies that year as the awards’ 29th edition and says it featured 125 reader-favorite lists. The overview does not establish how many people voted specifically in the airline category, so broader survey-participation figures should not be treated as airline-voter counts.

What the scores do—and do not—tell you
Singapore Airlines’ reported lead over La Compagnie was only 0.01 points. That narrow margin is a reason not to read the first-place position as evidence of a large or independently measured difference in airline performance.
The list captures participating readers’ preferences in 2024. It does not compare a particular itinerary’s current price, schedule, baggage rules, connection, aircraft, or cabin. Those details can vary by route, date, operating carrier, and flight, and the ranking does not establish the experience you will have on a specific trip.

How to use the ranking when booking
Use the results as one input if reader sentiment matters to you, then compare the actual flights available for your trip. The poll’s reported measures—comfort, service, customer support, and value—may help frame your priorities, but a ranking cannot substitute for itinerary-specific terms.
- Compare the total fare and fees for the same dates and route.
- Check which cabin and aircraft operate the specific flight; an airline’s ranking does not guarantee the same product across its fleet.
- Review connection times, baggage terms, and whether another carrier operates any segment.
- Weigh the ranking against your own budget and priorities rather than treating the score as a prediction for every passenger.
The detailed list and scores are reported by a secondary reproduction, while the EVA Air announcement independently corroborates one placement. The 2024 awards overview supplies general awards context, not a separate verification of all airline scores.
