Engadget described $1,197 as the lowest price it had seen, matching a 2023 holiday low. Earlier coverage recorded about $1,496.99 at Amazon and $1,599.99 at Best Buy in 2024, so $1,197 is the strongest documented low here—not a proven all-time low across every retailer, coupon, warehouse-club offer, or marketplace listing.

What made the C3 deal attractive?
The C3 is a 2023 OLED evo television with self-lit pixels, so each pixel can switch off for near-black movie scenes. LG lists 4K resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, Dolby Vision and HDR10, four HDMI 2.1 inputs, variable refresh rate, NVIDIA G-SYNC compatibility, AMD FreeSync Premium, Dolby Atmos support, webOS 23, a Magic Remote, Gaming Optimizer and Game Dashboard features, and the α9 AI Processor Gen6. C-series evo models also include LG’s Brightness Booster feature.
That combination is especially useful for PS5 and Xbox Series X owners: all four HDMI inputs support the connections most buyers need for current consoles, while 120Hz and VRR can improve motion and reduce tearing. OLED’s contrast also benefits films and prestige television in a dim or controlled room.

LG’s official specifications are on the OLED65C3PUA product page. A Walmart listing claims a response time below 1 millisecond, but retailer specification data can contain model-entry errors, so that figure should not be treated as an independently verified LG measurement.
Why a C3 can still make sense in 2026
- Deep clearance discount: At or below $1,200 for a new, warrantied set, it remains a strong performance-per-dollar purchase.
- Proven feature set: Dolby Vision, four HDMI 2.1 ports and mature gaming controls cover the needs of most console players.
- Movie-first performance: OLED black levels remain a major advantage over conventional LCD televisions.
- Less concern about launch bugs: A mature model has had time for firmware updates and broad owner feedback.
Where the C3 falls behind
Older generation
The C3 is a 2023 model. Newer C-series televisions can bring updated processing, software and brightness behavior, and LG’s product page explicitly points shoppers toward a newer model.

Bright-room limitations
OLED is not automatically the best choice for a room with intense daylight or for buyers who prioritize sustained, full-screen brightness. A high-brightness LCD or Mini-LED model may be easier to see in those conditions.
Static-image risk
Long-term display of static elements—such as channel logos, news tickers, desktop interfaces or game HUDs—can contribute to image retention or burn-in on OLED panels. Usage patterns matter; do not assume every household faces the same risk.

Built-in audio

LG announced a $2,699.99 starting price for the 65-inch C6, while Tom’s Guide reported a temporary Amazon price of $1,799. The same publication cited approximately $1,396 for a 65-inch C5 in comparison coverage, but that was not a verified August 16, 2026 quote. Check live listings before treating either figure as available.

Buying checklist for clearance stock
- Confirm the exact model is OLED65C3PUA and the selected size is 65 inches.
- Check whether the unit is new, open-box, refurbished or renewed.
- Identify the actual seller and fulfillment party, especially on marketplace pages.
- Confirm manufacturer warranty coverage and whether the seller is authorized.
- Read the return period, restocking rules and return-shipping terms.
- Check delivery condition and whether room-of-choice delivery or installation costs extra.
- Remove any automatically added soundbar, protection plan or installation fee unless wanted.
- Inspect the panel promptly for shipping damage, dead pixels, unevenness and signs of prior use.

What price makes the C3 worth buying?
- $1,200 or less, new: Excellent value if warranty and returns are normal.
- $1,300–$1,500: Compare directly with live C5 clearance offers before ordering.
- About $1,700: Usually difficult to justify over newer models unless the C3 is the only suitable, warrantied stock.
- Above $1,700: Generally poor value when a current C6 price is near $1,799.
