Blu Ventures and Mindset Ventures joined as new investors; Merlin Ventures, Secret Chord Ventures, Inner Loop Capital and Elron Ventures participated as existing investors. Tamnoon said the financing took its total funding above $18 million and would accelerate its product roadmap, partnerships and managed cloud-security remediation.
The company is not pitching another cloud-visibility product. Its stated role is to help investigate, prioritize and safely fix findings produced by CNAPP, CSPM, cloud-detection and related security tools, combining AI analysis with human cloud-security specialists.
What the September 2024 financing announced
Tamnoon’s announcement was a historical financing event, not a current funding round. The company said Bright Pixel Capital led the $12 million Series A, with Blu Ventures and Mindset Ventures as new investors and Merlin Ventures, Secret Chord Ventures, Inner Loop Capital and Elron Ventures as existing investors. Tamnoon reported more than $18 million in total funding after the round.
According to the company, proceeds were earmarked for product-roadmap acceleration, partnership expansion and continued development of managed cloud-security remediation. The announcement also promoted Tamnoon Prevent, described as patent-pending technology intended to stop insecure configurations created through cloud consoles from reaching deployment. The patent status and the company’s “first in the industry” language should be treated as company claims.

The operational gap between finding and fixing
Cloud-security products are good at producing findings. The harder job is deciding what a finding means in a particular environment and changing production safely.

A CSPM tool might flag an overly permissive cloud role. Removing the permission could improve the security score, but the role may also support deployment automation. A safe change requires identifying the owner, determining whether the resource is production, understanding dependencies, checking compensating controls, obtaining approval and validating the result.

The same problem appears with public storage, network rules, vulnerable images, exposed services, weak encryption, missing logs, identity drift and runtime alerts. Teams often have thousands of findings but limited security, platform and application-engineering capacity to close them.
How Tamnoon’s hybrid model is intended to work
- Ingest findings: Findings arrive from an existing CNAPP, CSPM, cloud provider, cloud-detection or other security platform.
- Prioritize and investigate: AI helps assess factors such as resource type, environment, exposure, criticality, ownership and likely business impact.
- Prepare a remediation path: The system proposes or prepares a change rather than treating every alert as a generic “fix now” command.
- Apply human judgment: Tamnoon’s cloud-security specialists, called CloudPros, validate actions when production impact, ambiguity or unusual dependencies are involved.
- Authorize and execute: The customer and Tamnoon operate under their agreed approval model. Exact approval thresholds, rollback mechanics, service levels and responsibility for execution require confirmation in a product evaluation.
- Verify and learn: The outcome is recorded so teams can check whether the issue was actually resolved and whether similar findings recur.
Tamnoon’s partner material for Palo Alto Networks says its service adds context around resource, environment, exposure, encryption, criticality and ownership. That context is what separates remediation work from simply displaying a detector’s alert.

Why unrestricted automatic remediation is risky
- Changing access controls can break applications, deployment pipelines or service accounts.
- Altering firewall or network rules can interrupt production traffic.
- A technically correct fix can be applied to the wrong environment.
- Closing an alert may hide a symptom without correcting the underlying architecture.
- Automated changes can create an operational incident while improving a security score.
Tamnoon’s original positioning was a compromise between two unattractive extremes: unrestricted automation that may cause outages and entirely manual remediation that cannot keep up with cloud scale. Human review may improve safety, but it can also create approval queues and dependence on the provider’s staffing and escalation model.
Where the service fits in a cloud-security stack
| Layer | Typical function |
|---|---|
| CNAPP or CSPM | Finds cloud risks, misconfigurations and attack paths. |
| Cloud detection and response | Detects suspicious activity and runtime threats. |
| Tamnoon | Prioritizes, investigates and remediates findings with managed expertise. |
| DevOps and platform teams | Own application, infrastructure and deployment changes. |
| ITSM and change management | Records tickets, approvals and operational controls. |
That means Tamnoon does not necessarily replace a CNAPP, CSPM, cloud logging, identity controls, infrastructure-as-code scanning, change management or internal platform ownership. Its pitch is a remediation layer or managed operating capability that extracts more value from tools a customer already uses.

What changed after the Series A
On June 12, 2025, Tamnoon announced Managed Cloud Detection and Response and introduced Tami, an AI-powered cloud SecOps agent designed to work with its human CloudPros team. The launch named integrations with Wiz Defend, Amazon GuardDuty, CrowdStrike Falcon and Orca Security. Integration labels do not by themselves establish whether a connector only ingests findings or can also recommend, execute and verify changes.

In a February 2026 update, Tamnoon said it had moved from a primarily human-led service toward a platform in which AI handles more prioritization and investigation while experts validate remediation and manage edge cases. The company described what it calls “Level 4” autonomy and said it was working toward “Level 5” for known, repeatable fixes. Those labels are company terminology, not an industry certification or a verified current capability.

The strongest fit is an organization with multiple cloud accounts or subscriptions, a substantial CNAPP or CSPM deployment, valuable production workloads and a backlog that internal teams cannot safely resolve. Regulated companies may also value a documented human approval path.
It is a weaker fit for a small cloud estate with few findings, a buyer seeking a low-cost self-service scanner, or a team that wants fully autonomous changes with no customer or expert approval. A customer must also be willing and authorized to let a third party investigate or modify cloud environments.
Questions to ask before purchasing
Remediation coverage
- Does it handle IAM, public exposure, storage, network rules, vulnerable packages and images, Kubernetes, secrets, encryption, logging, runtime detections and infrastructure-as-code?
- Can it address recurring configuration drift or only close individual findings?
Control and safety
- Which actions are automatic, which require a CloudPro review and which require customer approval?
- How are production environments identified?
- Are pre-change validation, blast-radius analysis, rollback, change logs, approval history and break-glass procedures available?
- What happens after a failed remediation or a disagreement about risk?
Integration depth
Ask whether each named integration can ingest findings, add context, create tickets, recommend fixes, execute changes, verify results and detect recurrence. Publicly named integrations may differ substantially in operational depth.
Commercial and governance details
- What cloud providers, regions and data-residency options are supported?
- What access, subprocessors, support hours and escalation commitments apply?
- How are “critical exposure,” mean time to remediate, reopened findings and production incidents defined?
- What are the price, minimum commitment and customer responsibilities?
How it compares with alternatives
| Option | Core purchase | Best fit | Trade-off |
|---|---|---|---|
| Tamnoon | Managed remediation and AI-assisted cloud SecOps | Large backlogs with limited remediation staff | Quote-based enterprise process; execution boundaries require diligence |
| Wiz | Broad CNAPP and cloud-risk platform | Visibility, attack-path analysis and consolidation | Remediation ownership may still remain with the customer |
| Palo Alto Networks Cortex Cloud | Consolidated cloud-security platform | Organizations standardized on Palo Alto Networks | Broader platform purchase may exceed a remediation-only need |
| CrowdStrike Falcon Cloud Security | Cloud security connected to the Falcon ecosystem | Existing CrowdStrike customers | Economics may depend on the existing Falcon footprint |
| AWS Security Hub and GuardDuty | Native AWS security detection and posture services | AWS-centric teams with engineering capacity | The customer generally operates or builds the remediation workflow |
Official alternatives include Wiz, Palo Alto Networks Cortex Cloud, CrowdStrike Falcon Cloud Security, AWS Security Hub and Amazon GuardDuty. AWS publishes usage-based pricing pages; the other listed enterprise products generally use quote-based sales.
Bottom line for buyers and investors
Tamnoon is trying to make cloud-security remediation a distinct managed capability: AI reduces the investigation burden, while human specialists retain responsibility for ambiguous or high-impact decisions. Its potential value is greatest where a customer already has extensive detection coverage but lacks the staff to turn findings into safe, verified changes.
The central diligence question is not whether Tamnoon can close alerts. It is whether the service can reduce risk without creating unacceptable production, compliance or change-management risk. Public materials still leave price, independent outcome data, execution boundaries and the amount of human approval required in practice for a buyer to verify.
