T-Mobile is advertising up to $1,100 off the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge through 24 monthly bill credits on a qualifying new-line offer. That can reduce the 256GB model’s device payments to about $0 after every credit arrives—but it does not erase the cost of service, taxes, the connection charge, or the commitment to keep qualifying service active. The 512GB model still has about $119.99 in device cost at the cited maximum discount.
Here’s how to check whether the offer actually saves you money, rather than just making the phone look free.
What T-Mobile’s Galaxy S25 Edge offers include
T-Mobile store pages list multiple promotions, and the offer shown can vary by location, account, plan, and promotion. The examples below are the no-trade-in new-line offers on the cited T-Mobile page; verify the terms attached to your own checkout before changing plans or placing an order.
| Offer | New line | Trade-in | Plan and price signal | Discount timing |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Up to $1,100 off | Required | Not required under the cited offer | Qualifying premium plan; T-Mobile lists $85 or more per month with AutoPay, plus taxes and fees | 24 monthly bill credits |
| Up to $900 off | Required | Not required under the cited offer | Broader qualifying plan set; T-Mobile lists $60 or more per month with AutoPay, plus taxes and fees | 24 monthly bill credits |
| Up to $300 off | Offer-dependent | Required for the cited trade-in version | Qualifying plan; requirements vary | Check the offer terms shown for your account |
The $1,100 version is tied to qualifying plans such as Experience More or Experience Beyond, subject to customer-specific requirements. The $900 version covers a broader listed set, including Experience More, Experience Beyond, Essentials, Better Value, and some legacy Go5G plans. These plan names and thresholds do not mean the quoted amount is your complete household bill: taxes, fees, existing lines, and plan rules affect what you pay.

How close to free is the phone?
Samsung’s March 2026 U.S. MSRP file lists the S25 Edge at $1,099.99 for 256GB and $1,219.99 for 512GB. The calculations below divide those prices by 24 months and compare them with the maximum $1,100 credit. They are estimates, not a promise of the installment quote T-Mobile will show you; down payments or account-specific financing can change the monthly figures.

| Storage | Listed MSRP | Approximate installment before credits | Maximum credit over 24 months | Approximate device cost after credits |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 256GB | $1,099.99 | $45.83 per month | Up to about $45.83 per month | About $0 after all credits post |
| 512GB | $1,219.99 | $50.83 per month | Up to about $45.83 per month | About $119.99 total, or roughly $5 per month |
The device is financed through an equipment-installment plan; the credits arrive gradually, not as a full discount at checkout. T-Mobile says to allow up to two billing cycles for credits to appear. It also lists sales tax on the full pre-credit price and a $35 device connection charge, and a down payment or other fees may apply. The MSRP figures come from Samsung’s March 2026 price file; T-Mobile’s offer terms control the financing and credits.
Who may qualify for the strongest offer?
New T-Mobile customers
The cited maximum-offer terms require a qualifying new voice line and an eligible plan. T-Mobile identifies Experience More or Experience Beyond for the premium offer; the listed $85-per-month AutoPay threshold is an eligibility signal, not a guarantee of the final bill. Qualifying credit is required.
Rank #3
Existing T-Mobile customers
Being an existing customer does not automatically qualify you for the maximum discount on an upgrade. The strongest cited offer requires adding a new line, and existing-customer plan requirements can differ. Better Value has additional line-count and tenure conditions; T-Mobile also lists some legacy Go5G plans for the broader offer. If you canceled a line in the previous 90 days, T-Mobile says you may need to reactivate it to qualify. The cited promotion allows up to four discounted devices per account.
Switchers and trade-in customers
If you are switching, confirm that the specific offer applies to your account and the line you plan to bring over. Do not assume a trade-in is required: the cited $900 and $1,100 new-line versions do not require one. T-Mobile also displays separate trade-in offers, including versions for up to $300 off; those are different promotions with their own eligible-device and plan conditions.

Calculate the real 24-month cost
Judge the deal by the extra money you spend to qualify, not by the advertised device discount. If you already planned to pay for the required service, the incremental cost may be small. If you are adding an unnecessary line or moving from a cheaper plan, service can overwhelm the phone savings.
Use this comparison:
True 24-month cost = incremental service cost + tax on the full phone price + connection charge + device cost not covered by credits − other eligible credits or trade-in value.

Best Value
- It can be a gift option
- Comes with secure packaging
- Helpful in various ways
For an existing customer, count only the added cost caused by the extra line or plan change. For a new customer, compare the full cost of T-Mobile service with comparable service elsewhere—not just the price of the phone. The $60 or $85 monthly figures T-Mobile lists are plan-eligibility thresholds, not enough information to calculate your household’s total bill.

- Canceling service: T-Mobile says credits may stop if the account is canceled. If the promotional line is canceled or no longer active and in good standing, the promotion may also end. The remaining equipment balance may become due; check the exact terms before changing service.
- Paying off the phone early: The cited terms say bill credits end if you pay off the device early. This is not the same as receiving an instant $1,100 discount.
- Letting credits lapse: Because credits may take up to two billing cycles to appear, keep your order confirmation, installment agreement, promotion ID, and a screenshot of the offer. If they do not show up after that period, contact T-Mobile with those records.
- Changing plans or account details: Eligibility is tied to the promotion’s requirements. Confirm with T-Mobile before removing a line, downgrading a plan, or making another account change that could affect the credits.
Is the Galaxy S25 Edge the right phone?
The S25 Edge is designed around being unusually thin and light: Samsung lists a 5.8mm thickness and 163g weight, with a 6.7-inch Quad HD+ display and Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy processor. Its camera setup pairs a 200MP main camera with a 12MP ultrawide; its typical battery capacity is 3,900mAh. Those specifications make portability the clearest reason to choose it, rather than suggesting it is simply a less expensive S25 Ultra.
The slim design involves trade-offs to consider. A 3,900mAh battery may be a concern if you prioritize endurance, and the two-camera setup is less extensive than an Ultra model’s camera system. Samsung lists charging to about 55% in around 30 minutes with a 25W adapter, sold separately. Those are manufacturer specifications, not independent battery-life or camera-quality test results. Review Samsung’s S25 Edge specifications and launch details and official product page if those features matter to you.
Samsung’s corporate materials identify the S25 Edge as a May 2025 model and discuss newer S26-series devices. If you want the newest Galaxy hardware or the longest remaining support horizon, compare current S26 models before taking on a two-year credit schedule. The S25 Edge began general availability on May 30, 2025, according to Samsung’s launch announcement.
When to take the offer—and when to skip it
The offer may make sense if
- You already want T-Mobile service or were planning to switch, and the qualifying plan works for your budget.
- You need the new line anyway and expect to keep the account and promotional line eligible for the full 24 months.
- You value the S25 Edge’s thin, light design and accept carrier financing and delayed credits.
It is probably a poor fit if
- You would add a line only to get this phone, or the required plan costs substantially more than your current service.
- You may leave T-Mobile, cancel the line, or need to pay off the phone before all 24 credits arrive.
- You want an unlocked phone immediately, prioritize battery endurance or long-range camera zoom, or would rather buy the newest Galaxy generation.
Buying from Samsung is another route if avoiding T-Mobile’s 24-month credit conditions matters more than maximizing the carrier subsidy. Compare the actual checkout totals and trade-in terms on Samsung’s S25 Edge offers page; trade-in value depends on eligibility and device condition, and carrier and retailer offers may not combine unless the terms say they do.
