Starbucks’ regular U.S. spring 2025 café menu launched Tuesday, March 4, 2025, following the company’s March 3 announcement. Its headline additions were Iced Cherry Chai and the Jalapeño Chicken Pocket, joined by returning lavender drinks, seasonal cold foams and the new Starbucks Sunsera Blend blonde roast. The seasonal café items were offered for a limited time while supplies lasted, so this article documents the 2025 launch rather than confirming what is available in 2026.
What was on Starbucks’ regular spring 2025 menu?
The March 4 U.S. café launch combined new food and drink items with returning lavender beverages. Starbucks described the following lineup in its announcement:
| Item | 2025 status | What Starbucks said |
|---|---|---|
| Iced Cherry Chai | New drink | A spring variation on the Iced Chai Latte |
| Jalapeño Chicken Pocket | New food item | Added to the café menu; the announcement excerpt does not establish its ingredients or nutrition |
| Iced Lavender Cream Oatmilk Matcha | Returning drink | One of three lavender beverages listed for spring |
| Iced Lavender Latte | Returning drink | Lavender beverage served iced |
| Lavender Crème Frappuccino | Returning drink | Lavender-flavored Frappuccino |
| Cherry Cream Cold Foam | Customization | Available for adding to almost any beverage |
| Lavender Cream Cold Foam | Customization | Available for adding to almost any beverage; Starbucks specifically says it contains dairy |
| Starbucks Sunsera Blend | New coffee | A blonde roast announced for cafés and U.S. grocery stores; it became the hot brewed light-roast Coffee of the Day beginning March 4 |
What is in the Iced Cherry Chai?
Starbucks built the Iced Cherry Chai from black tea infused with cinnamon, clove and other warming spices, combined with milk and ice. It was finished with cherry cream cold foam and a cherry crunch topping.
Billy Altieri, Starbucks’ lead beverage developer, described the drink as delivering “a creamy texture, warm spices and notes of cherry.” That is Starbucks’ product description, not an independent taste test.

How the lavender choices worked
Lavender returned in three named drinks: Iced Lavender Cream Oatmilk Matcha, Iced Lavender Latte and Lavender Crème Frappuccino. Customers could also add either Cherry Cream Cold Foam or Lavender Cream Cold Foam to almost any beverage.
The explicit dietary detail in the launch announcement is that Lavender Cream Cold Foam contains dairy. The available information does not provide complete allergen or nutrition details for every spring item, so customers with allergies or specific dietary requirements should check the store’s current ingredient information before ordering.

What changed with the food offering?
The Jalapeño Chicken Pocket was the major new food announcement. Starbucks’ spring release confirms that it joined the menu, but the cited announcement does not establish a full ingredient list, calorie count or allergen profile. Those details should not be inferred from the product name.
Starbucks Reserve had a different spring menu
Starbucks Reserve locations in Chicago, New York City and Seattle announced a separate spring menu beginning March 4, 2025. Reserve offerings should not be treated as part of the standard U.S. café lineup.

Availability depended on the Reserve roasteries and stores in those three cities, rather than the ordinary Starbucks café network.
Spring products for home were separate from the café menu
Starbucks also announced a spring grocery collection on January 17, 2025. These packaged coffees and creamers were at-home products, not drinks or food ordered at a Starbucks café.

The spring announcements also referenced seasonal cold cups, water bottles and tumblers. Starbucks Reserve specifically named the Coffee in Bloom collection. The announcements do not establish current marketplace listings or prices for that merchandise.
Separately, Starbucks said it had begun removing some less popular beverages and food in spring 2025 and expected menu simplification to reduce U.S. menu items by roughly 30% by the end of fiscal 2025. That was a stated plan; the launch materials do not verify the eventual reduction.
Quick Recap
How to interpret the 2025 launch today
- Looking for the regular café launch: use March 4, 2025, as the U.S. start date.
- Looking for the headline new drink: it was Iced Cherry Chai, made with spiced black tea, milk, ice, cherry cream cold foam and cherry crunch topping.
- Looking for lavender: three lavender drinks returned, and lavender or cherry cold foam could be added as a customization.
- Checking a current order: do not assume a 2025 seasonal item remains on a 2026 menu; the launch described the café beverages and cold foams as limited-time offerings while supplies lasted.
- Comparing locations: Reserve drinks such as Iced Ube Coconut Latte were tied to Reserve stores in Chicago, New York City and Seattle, not the standard national café menu.
- Shopping for home: packaged coffees and creamers belonged to the grocery collection and should be compared separately from café pricing.
