There is no reliably documented, single STACOS price for calendar year 2021. STACOS was a Skorydov Systems portfolio of Indian tax and compliance products and services, not one uniform subscription. Public pages show module-specific prices, a historical 2015 bundle, and a third-party “price on request” listing. A current directory rating of 4.1/5 is based on only three ratings, so it cannot establish broad 2021 customer sentiment.
This retrospective separates historical evidence from current-looking listings. Prices displayed today may not reflect what was sold or charged during 2021.
What was STACOS?
STACOS is presented as “Skorydov Tax and Compliance Office Solutions,” a collection of web-based applications, utilities and services from Skorydov Systems. The official About page says the business serves individuals, families, companies and professionals and claims experience in Indian tax and compliance since 1998.
It was therefore broader than a single tax-return app. The portfolio included TDS tools, income-tax computation and filing products, Form 16 utilities, GST-related material, digital-signature services, payroll and HR products, file-security software and TDS outsourcing. Software and services could have separate prices and contracts.

The vendor describes browser access, shared access for employees or associates, collaboration, access controls, security and disaster recovery, and a 99.9% uptime guarantee. These are vendor claims, not independent performance findings.
STACOS pricing in and around 2021
The available public evidence does not prove one universal 2021 license price. The following table shows what the cited pages actually display and what each figure does—and does not—establish.

Why the prices cannot be combined
- A record-based TDS plan is not automatically a license for GST, income tax, payroll, Form 16 or every other module.
- A digital-signature certificate may involve validity, token, identity-verification and tax charges separate from software.
- Outsourced TDS work is a service and may be quoted by employees, deductors, returns, registrations, complexity or corrections.
- The public material does not state whether a particular 2021 quote was annual, perpetual, usage-based, or inclusive of updates and filing support.
What products and features did STACOS cover?
TDS returns
The official TDS page refers to ETDS XL, an Excel-based product, regular and correction returns, deductor or company databases and record-based plans. The accessible page does not establish which exact limits, utilities, updates or license terms applied in 2021. Ask whether FVU generation, government-utility updates, corrections and post-expiry access are included.

GST compliance
The GST page contains legacy explanatory text and language indicating a launch was expected after a government announcement. A product page or announcement is not proof of a fully operational, purchasable and supported GST product in 2021.
Income-tax filing and computation
STACOS lists online income-tax computation and return filing among its product areas. The old bundle page mentions online computation, 26AS import, audit forms and web services, but that page is tied to a 2015 promotion. Treat those as historically documented capabilities, not confirmed 2021 inclusions.

Form 16 and payroll
The same historical page describes digitally signed Form 16 functions such as combining TRACES Part A and Part B, generating Form 12BA and salary annexures, emailing forms and password-protecting PDFs. The STACOS homepage also lists TeamNest, a cloud HRMS and payroll product. TeamNest should not be assumed to have identical ownership, pricing, licensing or support terms.
Digital signatures
The digital-signature page says Class 2 DSCs were discontinued from January 1, 2021, with Class 3 certificates applicable for listed filing uses. It displays ₹1,500 for a three-year certificate with e-Token. That regulatory note provides 2021 context, but it does not prove that every STACOS module was updated for every tax or filing change.

TDS outsourcing
The homepage lists TDS outsourcing, in which Skorydov processes TDS work for companies. No public 2021 rate card is supplied. Obtain a written scope covering returns, corrections, data responsibility, deadlines and service levels.

It is less clearly suited to a business seeking a full accounting ERP for invoicing, inventory, banking and bookkeeping, or to users outside India who do not need Indian tax workflows.
Questions to ask before buying
- Which exact module, edition and filing years are included?
- Is the quote annual, perpetual, record-based, user-based or service-based?
- How many users, companies, deductors and records are covered?
- Are updates for forms, validation files and government utilities included?
- Is the product cloud, desktop, Excel-based or hybrid?
- Are migration, training, DSC tokens, filing fees or corrections extra?
- What support hours, response targets, escalation route and rejection assistance are promised?
- How are backups, access roles, audit logs, retention, deletion and breach notification handled?
- Can all data be exported in a usable format if the account ends?
- What happens when a license expires?
Historical verdict
STACOS was a real Skorydov tax-and-compliance product family with potentially useful Indian-specific tools and services. However, the public evidence does not support saying that “STACOS cost ₹X in 2021,” nor does it support treating 4.1/5 from three current ratings as a 2021 consensus. The responsible buying route is a current, module-by-module quote that states record limits, filing years, updates, support, security terms and data export in writing.
