It is not simply a cloud provider or a data-center operator: its pitch is to help organizations connect, host, modernize, secure, and manage technology through one partner. Its infrastructure and service focus is India, with offerings aimed at enterprises, government, and regulated industries.
What is Sify Technologies?
Sify Technologies is a business-to-business digital infrastructure and information and communications technology (ICT) services company. It combines physical infrastructure—such as connectivity and colocation—with cloud, application, and managed services. Sify’s About Us page describes the offer this way: “For enterprises, Sify represents a one-stop engagement across networks, data center, cloud, digital, and IT services.”
The phrase “end-to-end” describes the range of services Sify brings together; it does not mean every customer must buy the whole portfolio or that every service is delivered from one platform. Organizations can assess the individual components they need and how they would be integrated and managed.
What services does Sify offer in India?
Sify’s portfolio spans the infrastructure an organization may need to connect offices, host systems, use cloud platforms, modernize applications, and manage security. The main categories are:

| Data centers | Colocation, interconnection, and carrier-neutral facilities. | To house infrastructure in a data center and connect it with networks or other services. |
| Cloud and managed services | CloudInfinit, hybrid-cloud advisory, migration, infrastructure and application management, and private connectivity to hyperscalers. | To plan or operate a mix of cloud and other infrastructure, or to obtain help with migration and ongoing operations. |
| Digital and applications | InfinitDigital and services for implementation, application modernization, and conversion. | To implement or update business applications as part of a broader technology change. |
| Security | Managed security, security operations center (SOC) deployments, on-premises security builds, and integrated firewalls; Sify’s annual-report outlook also discusses SASE. | To build security capabilities into an infrastructure deployment or have defined security functions managed by a provider. |
The service names and descriptions above are from Sify’s published portfolio materials. The scope, responsibilities, and availability of a particular service depend on the proposed deployment and customer agreement.
Is Sify a cloud company or a data-center company?
It is both of those things, but neither label captures the full portfolio. Sify offers cloud and hybrid-cloud services, while also operating data centers and providing network, application, and security services. Its role can therefore vary by customer: a company might engage it for colocation or connectivity, for cloud migration and managed operations, or for a broader combination.
Sify is also different from a hyperscaler such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud. Sify’s materials describe private connectivity to those cloud platforms and services to help customers operate infrastructure across environments. That positions Sify as a potential connectivity, integration, and managed-services partner—not as a replacement for the hyperscalers’ cloud platforms.
Where is Sify’s infrastructure, and how large is it?
Sify’s infrastructure footprint is India-centered. Its current About Us page, accessed in 2026, says the company serves more than 10,000 businesses across more than 1,600 Indian cities. That page lists 11 data centers. Separately, Sify’s U.S. data-center page, also accessed in 2026, reports 14 data centers and more than 227 MW of IT power, with expansion to more than 407 MW by 2025.
Rank #3
Those figures are not identical, and the pages do not explain the difference in counting scope. Treat them as figures reported on separate company pages, not as a single reconciled count. The 407+ MW figure is an expansion target stated with a 2025 date; the cited page does not establish whether that target was achieved. The figures describe Sify’s reported platform and should not be read as a guarantee that capacity is available at a particular site.
What makes Sify’s AI infrastructure relevant?
AI infrastructure is a growing theme in Sify’s stated direction. Its Integrated Report 2024–25 says the Rabale campus became India’s first data center to achieve NVIDIA DGX-Ready certification for liquid cooling. This is a specific certification claim about that campus; it does not by itself establish the capacity, pricing, or availability of AI deployments for a prospective customer.
Rank #4
Sify’s 2025–26 annual report describes continued investment in AI and edge infrastructure. Separately, on June 18, 2026, the International Finance Corporation (IFC) announced a partnership with Sify Infinit Spaces to support AI-ready, energy-efficient data-center infrastructure in India. Together, these are evidence of strategic focus and expansion activity, rather than a complete specification of what any individual AI customer can procure.
Who is Sify’s portfolio designed for?
Sify’s services are aimed at organizations that need infrastructure and operational support, particularly enterprises, government, and regulated sectors. Its 2025–26 annual report describes verticalized solutions for banking, financial services and insurance (BFSI), healthcare, manufacturing, and government. Its portfolio may be relevant when an organization needs to coordinate network, hosting, cloud, applications, or security work across multiple environments.

The company’s materials also cite specific recent activity: its Integrated Report 2024–25 mentions a Cisco ThousandEyes partnership, low-latency data-center interconnect work, security-build contracts, and SOC engagements. These are examples of stated capabilities and activity, not a promise of a particular customer outcome.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. How should you compare Sify with other providers?
Compare a proposed service against the organization’s actual operating needs, not just a provider’s headline description. Sify’s breadth may be useful where one supplier is expected to coordinate several layers, but a broad portfolio alone does not show that a particular deployment is the best fit.
- Service breadth: Check whether the proposal covers the required network, data-center, cloud, application, and security components, and identify any third parties involved.
- Deployment model: Confirm which workloads would run in public cloud, private cloud, colocation, on-premises infrastructure, or a hybrid arrangement.
- Connectivity and geography: Verify that the specific sites, cross-connects, carrier options, and hyperscaler connections required are available for the deployment.
- Security and compliance: Define which security controls and operations the provider will deliver, which remain with the customer, and how requirements for the relevant sector will be addressed.
- AI readiness: For high-density workloads, ask for site-specific power and cooling capabilities, deployment constraints, and evidence applicable to the proposed equipment and service.
- Managed-service responsibility: Document who handles migration, monitoring, incident response, application operations, and ongoing changes, including service boundaries and escalation routes.
These questions apply whether Sify is being considered as a broad enterprise partner or for a single service. The appropriate comparison is the written scope and operating model, not the breadth of a provider’s marketing portfolio.
What are Sify’s origins?
Sify’s public pages use different dates for different company milestones. Its Europe page says it was formed in 1995 and has been listed on Nasdaq since 1999. Its About Us page says it began as India’s first private internet service provider in 1998 and later evolved into a converged enterprise ICT provider. These statements describe distinct milestones as presented by the company; they should not be collapsed into one founding date.
