The $1,499.99 Amazon price for Samsung’s 57-inch Odyssey Neo G9 G95NC was a real promotion, but it is a historical deal—not a price you should assume is live today. At the reported $2,299.99 comparison price, the $800 reduction works out to about 34.8%, or roughly 35%. The exact model is LS57CG952NNXZA, not the older 49-inch Neo G9. If the price returns, it is compelling for buyers who specifically want a huge 32:9 display and have the desk and graphics hardware for it; it is not a universal gaming-monitor bargain.
What the $1,499 deal included—and what it did not prove
Deal coverage reported the LS57CG952NNXZA at $1,499.99 on Amazon against a listed $2,299.99 price: an $800 saving, or approximately 34.8%. Phandroid, Tom’s Guide, and Kotaku reported the promotion at different points; DealCatcher later marked an offer expired. That history supports calling $1,499.99 an unusually low, recurring promotional price—not a permanent Amazon price or a verified all-time low.
Samsung’s US product page has also shown a $1,499.99 total after an instant-credit promotion, against a $2,099.99 reference price. That is a separate manufacturer offer and may depend on eligibility; it does not establish that Amazon has the same live checkout price. No current Amazon offer, seller, condition, shipping charge, or checkout total is established here. Check the Amazon listing immediately before buying.
Use the $2,299.99 comparison price when describing the historical Amazon deal. Samsung’s later $2,099.99 reference price is a different comparison: against that figure, $1,499.99 is $600 less, not $800 less. A reference price is not necessarily the price a buyer would otherwise pay.

Make sure it is the 57-inch model
The promotion concerns the 57-inch Odyssey Neo G9 G95NC, model LS57CG952NNXZA. Search listings can mix it up with the 49-inch Neo G9 or a standard Odyssey G9. Check the full model number and screen size in the listing before placing an order.
The 57-inch version has a 32:9 aspect ratio and a 7,680 × 2,160 resolution—Samsung’s “Dual UHD” format, with the horizontal workspace of two UHD screens joined without a center bezel. The 49-inch models use a lower-resolution Dual QHD format, so they are not interchangeable descriptions of the same display. Samsung’s product page identifies the exact 57-inch model.

What the monitor offers for the money
Samsung specifies a VA panel with a Quantum Mini-LED backlight, 2,392 local-dimming zones, VESA DisplayHDR 1000 certification, a 1000R curve, and refresh rates up to 240Hz. Its listed typical brightness is 420 cd/m², minimum brightness 350 cd/m², static contrast ratio 2,500:1, and typical DCI color coverage 95%. These are manufacturer specifications, not a substitute for independent testing of uniformity, color accuracy, or HDR performance.
The advertised 1ms response time is a GTG claim, not a promise that every pixel transition in every setting takes exactly one millisecond. Newegg reproduces Samsung’s qualification that it is based on internal testing using an Extreme setting; see the listing. In practice, VA-panel dark-level smearing and viewing-angle behavior may matter to some buyers. Mini-LED dimming can improve contrast in HDR scenes, but bright objects against dark backgrounds can still show blooming. OLED monitors can offer deeper blacks and faster pixel response, though they usually differ in size, aspect ratio, resolution, or cost. Neither technology is automatically the better choice for every use.

Where a 32:9 screen helps—and where it gets in the way
Gaming and simulation
A very wide field of view can make the Neo G9 especially appealing for sim-racing, flight simulation, and games with good 32:9 support. But the screen does not make every title render correctly across the full width. Some games may use side pillars, stretch the image, need configuration changes, or offer limited support. Check compatibility for the games you actually play rather than assuming every title will fill the panel well.
Editing and productivity
The continuous canvas can suit video timelines, coding, research, and layouts with several windows open at once. Samsung includes Picture-by-Picture and Picture-in-Picture features for using multiple sources. However, a single curved screen does not behave exactly like two independently positioned monitors: window placement, screen sharing, and application scaling vary. If you rely on separate displays for different tasks, compare the workflow—not just the pixel count—before replacing them.

Check your PC and desk before buying
Driving 7,680 × 2,160 at up to 240Hz is demanding. Samsung lists DisplayPort 2.1 and HDMI 2.1 inputs, but the monitor’s maximum specification does not mean a given graphics card, game, cable, and settings combination will deliver that resolution and refresh rate. A high-end current GPU is the sensible class for modern games at native resolution; less powerful systems may need lower graphics settings, upscaling, or a lower refresh target. Esports titles may reach high frame rates more readily than demanding AAA games, but no universal frame-rate promise follows from the monitor specification. Confirm that your specific GPU output and cable support the mode you want.
The 1000R curve is part of the experience, not a minor cosmetic detail. It can bring the far edges into a more natural viewing arc, but preferences vary, and the screen may feel imposing if you favor flat displays or work with geometry-sensitive layouts. Samsung lists an active display area of approximately 54.9 × 15.44 inches, plus VESA 100 × 100 compatibility and an adjustable stand. Measure your desk and check its support capacity, viewing distance, and mount load rating against Samsung’s specification sheet and the intended mounting hardware; do not assume an ordinary monitor arm can safely hold it.

Before paying: an Amazon checkout checklist
- Confirm the product: the listing should say 57-inch and show model LS57CG952NNXZA.
- Check condition and seller: verify that it is new, identify the seller, and check whether Amazon fulfills the order. Marketplace listings can have different terms.
- Confirm the actual total: look at the checkout price, shipping, and delivery date. Check whether a displayed reduction requires a clipped coupon, account-specific offer, or other promotion.
- Read returns and warranty terms: confirm the return window, any restocking conditions, and warranty eligibility for the exact unit and transaction. Samsung’s March 2026 business MSRP document lists a one-year warranty for the S57CG952NN product family, but buyers should verify coverage for the US unit they are purchasing and the retailer’s terms.
- Check what is included: confirm that the original stand and the accessories you need are part of the offer.
- Inspect promptly after delivery: keep the packaging through the return period and check for dead pixels, flicker, or other faults. Anecdotal reports exist, but they do not establish a population-wide defect rate.
When to buy, wait, or choose another setup
Buy near $1,499.99 if
- You specifically want a 57-inch, 32:9 Dual UHD screen for gaming, simulation, or a wide single-display workspace.
- Your desk, mounting plan, and computer can accommodate the display and the resolution you intend to use.
- You accept the VA and Mini-LED trade-offs and the possibility that some games will not use the full screen well.
- The final price is genuinely near $1,499.99 for a new unit with acceptable seller, return, and warranty terms.
Wait or skip if
- Your PC is midrange and you expect demanding games to run at native resolution and 240Hz without compromises.
- Your desk cannot safely support a display this wide, or you prefer a flatter, smaller screen.
- Your work depends on verified color accuracy, or you prioritize OLED black levels and pixel response over this monitor’s size and workspace.
- The attractive price is available only through a seller whose condition, returns, or warranty you cannot confirm.
Consider these categories instead
| Option | What you gain | What you give up |
|---|---|---|
| Two 32-inch 4K monitors | Independent positioning, flexibility, and redundancy | A center bezel and potentially more stand and cable clutter |
| 49-inch 32:9 monitor | A smaller footprint and generally lower pixel workload | Less vertical resolution and workspace than the 57-inch Dual UHD model |
| 34-inch or 38-inch ultrawide | Easier desk fit and typically a less extreme display format | Substantially less total workspace |
| High-refresh 4K OLED | OLED’s black levels and pixel response in a typically smaller format | Not an equivalent substitute for a 57-inch 32:9 canvas |
