Samsung opened pre-orders for the Galaxy Z Fold6 and Galaxy Z Flip6 in India on July 10, 2024. Launch prices started at ₹164,999 for the Fold6 and ₹109,999 for the Flip6. Reported benefits included conditional bank, EMI, upgrade, protection and accessory offers—not a universal cash discount. The prices and promotions below are historical launch details, not verified August 2026 retail offers.

These figures were reported by Business Today and SamMobile. They are launch prices, not a statement of current Samsung India inventory or discounted pricing.
When pre-orders and sales opened
- Pre-orders: July 10, 2024, through Samsung’s website and Samsung Shop app; authorised offline retailers were also cited.
- Samsung-stated general availability: July 24, 2024.
SamMobile reported shipping from July 19 and retail availability from July 22 in some channels. That conflicts with Samsung’s July 24 general-availability statement, so July 24 is the safer official date. See Samsung’s global announcement.

What the pre-order offers actually meant
The launch coverage described several benefits, but their value depended on the payment method, trade-in device, selected accessories and channel. They should not be added together automatically.
Up to about ₹8,000 through bank, EMI or upgrade routes
Reports described an ₹8,000 benefit in different ways. SamMobile said eligible 12-month no-cost EMI transactions could receive an ₹8,000 instant discount. Business Today described either ₹8,000 HDFC Bank-card cashback or an ₹8,000 upgrade bonus, alongside a nine-month no-cost EMI route. These may have been different checkout campaigns. Treat the figure as an eligible-route benefit, not an automatic reduction for every buyer.
Galaxy Z Assurance for ₹999
Buyers could reportedly pay ₹999 for two damage-protection or replacement benefits, against a stated reference value of ₹14,999. Coverage was variously described as complete damage protection or screen/parts replacement. This was a paid protection add-on, not a ₹14,000 cash discount. Check the specific product name, claim limits, accidental-damage definition, exclusions and validity before relying on it. “Samsung Care+”, “Galaxy Z Assurance” and a screen-replacement promise should not be treated as interchangeable without the applicable terms.
Existing Samsung flagship upgrade bonus
Business Today reported a possible ₹15,000 upgrade bonus for existing Samsung flagship customers. Eligibility would have depended on the old phone, its condition, trade-in valuation, purchase channel and campaign rules.

Watch, Buds and cover discounts
Reported accessory promotions included:
- SamMobile cited ₹18,000 off a Galaxy Watch Ultra with either foldable, plus a free Peakform band.
- SamMobile cited ₹7,000 off Galaxy Buds3 Pro with either foldable, plus a Wireless Charger Duo at half price.
- Business Today reported 50% off Samsung covers and discounts of up to 35% on the Galaxy Watch Ultra, Watch7 and Galaxy Buds3 series.
These descriptions may represent separate channels or campaign versions. They are not evidence that every buyer could stack every discount, and an accessory discount only has real value if you intended to buy that accessory.

Both models use Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Mobile Platform for Galaxy. Samsung announced seven generations of OS upgrades and seven years of security updates for the series. Specifications and colours are listed in Samsung’s Mobile Press release.

Which model made financial sense?
Choose the Fold6 if you will use the large screen
The Fold6 is aimed at buyers who will regularly read documents, manage email, take notes or run multiple apps on the internal display. Its entry price was ₹164,999 before any eligible benefit. If you mostly use a phone-sized screen, the premium over the Flip6 is harder to justify.
Choose the Flip6 if portability is the priority
The Flip6 began at ₹109,999 and folds into a more pocket-friendly shape. It suits buyers who value compactness, FlexWindow functions and the clamshell design more than tablet-like productivity.
Calculate the amount you actually pay
- Start with the exact storage variant’s launch or live selling price.
- Subtract only a bank, EMI or upgrade benefit for which you meet the stated conditions.
- Use the confirmed trade-in value for your device, not a headline “up to” amount.
- Add the ₹999 protection fee or any required accessory purchase.
- Check delivery charges, card processing fees, EMI tenure and refund mechanics.
Checks before ordering
- Confirm the eligible bank card, EMI tenure and whether the benefit is cashback or an instant discount.
- Ask how trade-in condition, inspection and cancellation affect the upgrade amount.
- Read protection exclusions, claim windows, replacement limits and validity.
- Verify whether a Watch, Buds or charger purchase is required for the bundle price.
- Check storage and colour availability: online-exclusive colours may not be stocked by every retailer.
- Do not assume an in-box charger or accessory unless the India product listing or box contents says so.
- For a purchase today, verify the live Samsung India listings for the Galaxy Z Fold6 and Galaxy Z Flip6. The July 2024 pre-order campaign has ended unless a current page says otherwise.
Colours offered at launch
The Fold6 was listed in Silver Shadow, Navy and Pink, with Crafted Black and White as online-exclusive options. The Flip6 was listed in Silver Shadow, Yellow, Blue and Mint, with Crafted Black, White and Peach as online-exclusive options. Availability could vary by sales channel.
Protection and accessory references
For current terms rather than launch claims, consult Samsung’s Samsung Care+ India page and the official mobile accessories, Galaxy Watch and Galaxy Buds sections. Samsung’s global announcement mentioned one year of free Samsung Care+ during some pre-order periods, but that global statement does not establish the India-specific terms of the ₹999 offer.
