Prime Day 2026 is over. Amazon’s U.S. event ran June 23–26, 2026, and no current Amazon.com Galaxy S25 Ultra Prime Day price can be responsibly verified from the available listing evidence. The clearest benchmark is Samsung’s direct U.S. pricing: $999.99 for a 256GB unlocked model and $1,119.99 for 512GB, where the selected configuration is available.
An Amazon listing is attractive only if its final price beats the equivalent Samsung price and the page confirms the exact storage, U.S. model, unlocked status, condition, seller, returns and warranty. Do not treat an old Prime Day headline, an “up to” trade-in value or a percentage-off badge as proof of a live bargain.
Prime Day status and the verified price benchmark
Amazon officially scheduled Prime Day 2026 in the United States for June 23 through June 26. The event was for Prime members, and deals could change or sell out during the window. As of August 16, 2026, the available evidence does not establish a live Amazon Prime Day price for the Galaxy S25 Ultra. Samsung’s own U.S. pages provide the most defensible comparison:

These were displayed for selected colors and configurations, and some variants were unavailable. Check the Samsung 256GB buying page, Samsung 512GB buying page and Samsung’s March 2026 MSRP sheet before treating any figure as available to every buyer.
What price makes an Amazon listing worthwhile?
These are practical decision thresholds, not claims about Amazon’s historical lowest prices:

- 256GB at $999.99: matches Samsung’s displayed direct price and is fair, but not automatically an exceptional Amazon deal.
- 256GB below $950: a strong deal if it is new, unlocked, a U.S. model and covered by reliable returns and warranty support.
- 256GB around $900 or less: unusually attractive when every listing detail checks out.
- 512GB at $1,119.99: matches Samsung’s displayed benchmark.
- 512GB below $1,050: a strong deal; around $1,000 is unusually compelling for a new, fully warrantied phone.
- Renewed or used: compare the complete value—battery condition, cosmetic grade, accessories, return period and warranty—not just the percentage discount.
Compare the final checkout total, including tax, shipping, accessories and any required membership or financing, rather than the crossed-out price.
How to verify an Amazon listing before paying
- Select the exact storage capacity and color. Amazon parent listings can switch sellers, conditions and prices by variation.
- Confirm that the page says unlocked, not Verizon, AT&T or T-Mobile branded. Match the model number to the intended U.S. version; representative Samsung identifiers include SM-S938UZKAXAA for 256GB Titanium Black and SM-S938UZKEXAA for 512GB Titanium Black.
- Check whether the condition is new, renewed, open-box or used. “Renewed” does not necessarily mean Samsung-refurbished.
- Review “Sold by” and “Ships from.” Distinguish Amazon.com from a marketplace seller and inspect feedback, business history and who handles support.
- Read the return window and warranty language. Amazon’s return rights, a seller warranty and Samsung’s manufacturer warranty are different protections.
- Clip any coupon only after confirming that it applies to the selected variation.
- At checkout, recheck the price after entering the delivery ZIP code and adding tax. Make sure no trade-in, carrier activation, credit approval or monthly bill-credit condition is being counted as an instant discount.
Unlocked, U.S. model and imported-phone risks
The product title alone is insufficient. An imported international S25 Ultra can have different cellular bands, software features, Samsung Wallet behavior, update timing, packaging and warranty coverage. Verify the model number, network compatibility and whether Samsung will provide service in your country. An unlocked label also does not eliminate the need to confirm compatibility with your carrier.

What comes in the box—and what it does not
Samsung’s listing identifies the phone, a data cable and an ejection pin. It states that a wall charger is not included. Budget separately for a compatible USB-C charger, case and optional screen protector. Samsung’s page also showed Care+ options of $10 per month or $199 for two years for standard coverage, and $15 per month or $279 for two years with Theft and Loss; confirm eligibility and current terms before enrolling.
Amazon versus buying directly from Samsung

Samsung also offers direct promotional bundles and protection enrollment that may change the effective cost. Calculate the value of trade-in credit, financing requirements, accessories and coverage before choosing the lower headline price.

Choosing 256GB or 512GB
Choose 256GB when
- You stream most media and use cloud storage.
- You want the lowest upfront cost.
- You do not routinely keep large games, videos or photo libraries offline.
Choose 512GB when
- You record or store extensive photos and video.
- You keep games, movies or music offline.
- You plan to keep the phone for years and want more local headroom.
The $120 difference between Samsung’s displayed 256GB and 512GB prices is easier to justify when replacing storage would be difficult later.
S25 Ultra or a newer Galaxy model?
By August 2026, the S25 Ultra is a previous-generation flagship. Deal coverage during the 2026 Prime Day period focused heavily on Galaxy S26 Ultra offers, so compare the actual checkout prices rather than assuming the older model is automatically cheaper or better. - Prefer the newer model when the price gap is small, or when longer remaining software support and newer hardware matter more than saving on the prior generation.
- Wait when the Amazon listing is only matching Samsung, depends on uncertain credits, or lacks clear seller and warranty information.
Common traps that make a “deal” misleading
- An old 2025 Prime Day article is presented as a 2026 price. A reported $365 discount in 2025 is historical only; it is not evidence of a 2026 offer. See Tom’s Guide’s 2025 report.
- The discount is based on an inflated comparison price rather than Samsung’s current direct price or official MSRP.
- The coupon disappears at checkout or applies only to a different capacity or color.
- A “new” page changes to renewed or used after you select a variation.
- The phone is carrier-locked, imported or sold by an unknown marketplace seller.
- Trade-in, financing, credit-card approval, activation or monthly bill credits are counted as immediate savings.
- An unavailable listing is still described as live. Prime Day ended June 26; a later Amazon sale should not be called Prime Day unless Amazon officially names it that way.
Prime membership and future price tracking
Amazon’s Prime information page listed U.S. membership at $14.99 per month or $139 per year and mentioned a 30-day trial for eligible customers; prices and eligibility can change. Do not purchase Prime solely to save a small amount on a phone after the event has ended. Amazon also promotes deal alerts, price alerts, Alexa shopping tools and personalized deal features at its Prime Day deals preview. These can help monitor a future drop, but they do not prove a lowest-ever price.
The Bottom Line
Buy an Amazon Galaxy S25 Ultra only when the exact new, unlocked U.S. model is at least $50–$100 below Samsung’s equivalent price and the seller, returns and warranty are clear. Wait if Amazon merely matches Samsung’s $999.99 (256GB) or $1,119.99 (512GB) benchmark. Skip an imported, carrier-locked or weakly warranted listing, even when its percentage discount looks large.
