Rank #2
- The Galaxy S24 FE packs a large 6.7‑inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with adaptive 120 Hz refresh rate, enhanced brightness and a “Vision Booster” mode — ideal for clear, bright visuals even outdoors.
Galaxy AI and camera features
Samsung positioned the S24 FE as a lower-cost route into the S24 family’s Galaxy AI experience. Highlighted tools included Circle to Search with Google, Interpreter, Live Translate, Composer in Samsung Keyboard, Generative Edit, Portrait Studio, Edit Suggestions and Instant Slow-mo. Samsung also promoted its ProVisual Engine for AI-assisted image processing.
These are ecosystem capabilities rather than features exclusive to this model. Availability can vary with software version, region, language, Samsung or Google account status and the supported application. Samsung’s “full Galaxy AI” and camera-processing descriptions are manufacturer claims, not independent performance measurements.

- The Galaxy S24 FE packs a large 6.7‑inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with adaptive 120 Hz refresh rate, enhanced brightness and a “Vision Booster” mode — ideal for clear, bright visuals even outdoors.
What changed from the Galaxy S23 FE
- A larger 6.7-inch display replaces the previous model’s smaller panel.
- The battery increases to 4,700mAh.
- The phone moves to an Exynos 2400-series platform, with Exynos 2400e specified for India.
- Samsung gives the model a stronger Galaxy AI and ProVisual Engine focus.
- The stated seven-generation OS and seven-year security commitment extends its planned support life.
- The launch promotion made 256GB storage available at the 128GB price.
Samsung also referred to a larger vapour chamber and gaming features such as ray tracing. Those are Samsung’s product claims; they do not establish a particular frame rate, temperature or battery-runtime result without independent testing.
What the FE trade-offs mean
Large size
The 6.7-inch screen is useful for video, reading and multitasking, but it makes the phone relatively large for one-handed use. Buyers seeking a compact handset should not treat the larger panel as an unqualified advantage.
Rank #4
Display and camera compromises
The FE uses a lower-resolution display than some full flagship Galaxy S models, and its 8MP 3x telephoto hardware is less ambitious than higher-end S-series camera systems. The specification alone cannot establish image quality, sustained performance or battery endurance.
Extra ownership cost
No travel adapter is included. Anyone without a compatible charger must add that cost to the handset price. There is also no listed microSD slot, so storage choice at purchase matters.

Processor-market differences
The Indian phone uses Exynos 2400e, while Galaxy devices in some other markets may use different processor configurations. Cross-market Snapdragon comparisons should not be assumed to predict Indian thermals, gaming performance or endurance.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. Was the 256GB model the better launch purchase?
Yes, during the stated offer period. Samsung’s normal ₹6,000 difference disappeared because the 256GB version was offered at ₹59,999. Unless the promotion was unavailable at the selected outlet or the buyer needed the lowest immediate payment, the extra storage made the 256GB model the stronger launch value.
Who the Galaxy S24 FE suited
- Samsung users wanting One UI, Knox and the Galaxy ecosystem.
- Buyers seeking a large AMOLED display and a real telephoto camera below the full S-series price tier.
- People who value Samsung’s stated long software-support commitment.
- Customers interested in Galaxy AI without paying the launch price of a standard flagship.
Who should look elsewhere
- Buyers who want a compact phone.
- Users prioritising the fastest charging or a bundled charger.
- Serious gamers seeking the strongest sustained performance rather than Samsung’s positioning claims.
- Photographers who prioritise higher-end zoom or low-light hardware.
- Value shoppers comparing heavily discounted 2026 phones; current prices need a fresh check.

Verdict
At launch, the Galaxy S24 FE’s clearest value was the 256GB pre-booking price of ₹59,999. Its appeal came from Samsung software, long stated support, a large 120Hz AMOLED screen, Galaxy AI and a telephoto camera at a lower entry point than the flagship S24 line. The reasons to hesitate were its large body, missing charger, FE-level display and zoom compromises, and the need to compare any current street price with the original MRP rather than with an expired promotion.
