There is no reliably verified current sale price for a new, unlocked US Galaxy S24 with 256GB storage in the available retailer information. Samsung’s September 2025 price file lists a $759.99 MSRP for the unlocked 8GB/256GB model, but that is a dated reference—not a current offer. Check the exact configuration and checkout terms before treating any listing as a discount.
What counts as a verified S24 256GB deal?
A deal is only comparable when the phone’s storage, condition, seller, lock status and final price are clear. The standard Galaxy S24 is different from the S24 FE, S24+ and S24 Ultra; a price shown for one of those models does not establish the price of the 256GB standard S24.
Samsung’s September 2025 US MSRP file identifies the unlocked 8GB/256GB Onyx Black model as SM-S921UZKEXAA and lists $759.99. Treat that figure as historical MSRP, not today’s selling price. Samsung’s September 2025 MSRP file

| Route | What is established | What to verify |
|---|---|---|
| New unlocked retailer stock | Best Buy lists a specific unlocked 256GB S24 product page; a current price is not established here. | Selected storage and color, “new” condition, seller and fulfillment, stock, warranty, return policy and checkout total. |
| Samsung Certified Re-Newed | Samsung describes genuine parts, a certified battery, technician inspection, a one-year warranty and software-update support for this program. | The surfaced standard S24 listing is 128GB; a current 256GB S24 listing and price are not verified. |
| Retailer-restored marketplace stock | Walmart has Restored listings for 256GB S24 units. | Seller, grade, battery condition, included accessories, warranty and returns. Restored does not automatically mean manufacturer-certified. |
| Carrier promotion | May lower the effective cost for buyers who meet the carrier’s eligibility rules. | Trade-in, plan, activation, upgrade or new-line requirement; bill-credit schedule; and what happens if service changes. |
Samsung’s Certified Re-Newed program terms are not a guarantee about other refurbished sellers. Walmart’s Restored listing says products may be inspected, tested and cleaned by sellers or suppliers rather than manufacturer-certified, and warranty terms can depend on the third-party seller. Calculate the price you will actually pay
Do not compare a checkout discount with a headline that combines trade-in value, future bill credits or a gift card. Record the cash due now and any later savings separately; include shipping, activation charges and tax as separate amounts because tax depends on the buyer’s location.

- This phone is unlocked and compatible with any carrier of choice on GSM and CDMA networks (e.g. AT&T, T-Mobile, Sprint, Verizon, US Cellular, Cricket, Metro, Tracfone, Mint Mobile, etc.).
- Immediate discount: the checkout price is reduced without a trade-in or future service obligation.
- Trade-in credit: depends on the submitted device and inspection. Samsung’s trade-in rules require, among other conditions, a device that powers on and holds charge, a functioning display, no blacklist, reset and removal of personal data and locks, and ownership rather than lease. The final credit can differ from the estimate after inspection. Samsung trade-in FAQ
- Carrier bill credits: spread savings over future bills rather than lowering the phone’s full price at checkout. Check whether credits stop if you cancel, change plans, pay off early or switch carriers.
- Gift card or bundle: count it separately from cash savings; its value depends on whether you will use the credit or accessory.
- Financing: compare total payments and terms with the cash price. Monthly payment presentation alone does not prove a lower total cost.
- Membership or payment-specific coupon: include only if you qualify and can see the discount applied to the exact 256GB configuration.
Samsung says its trade-in offers generally cannot be combined with other Samsung, carrier or retailer promotions unless the specific terms allow it. Check the offer’s own conditions rather than adding advertised savings together. Samsung US phone offers
Check the exact model before ordering
- Confirm the listing says standard Galaxy S24 and 256GB—not S24 FE, S24+ or S24 Ultra, and not the 128GB version.
- For a US unlocked listing, check for the US model family, such as SM-S921U or SM-S921U1, and verify the exact SKU when available. The SM-S921UZKEXAA code in Samsung’s MSRP file is an unlocked Onyx Black 256GB example. Avoid assuming an imported SM-S921B has the same US network support.
- Confirm “unlocked” and check the phone with your carrier. Unlocked status does not guarantee every band, 5G, VoLTE or eSIM feature will work on every carrier or plan.
- Read the condition label carefully: new, open-box, refurbished, renewed, restored and pre-owned are not interchangeable. Check included box, cable, SIM tool and documentation rather than assuming accessories are present.
- At checkout, verify the 256GB selection, color, seller, fulfillment, availability, delivery estimate, return window and warranty. Retail pages may change price or availability when you select a variant or ZIP code.
- For a trade-in, read the valuation and inspection terms, and keep a record of the device condition and shipment. Do not budget the maximum advertised credit as guaranteed.
The Best Buy listing names compatibility with major US networks and several MVNOs, including AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, Google Fi and Visible; that listing is not a substitute for confirming service and features with your carrier for your specific SIM or eSIM. Best Buy Galaxy S24 256GB unlocked

Is 256GB worth paying extra for?
Choose 256GB if you keep a large photo or video library on the phone, download films, music or maps for offline use, install large games, or expect to keep the device for years without routinely moving files. It gives more local storage headroom, but it does not make cloud backups unnecessary.
The 128GB version can be the better value if you mostly stream, back up photos to cloud storage, install few large apps and the price gap is substantial. Compare the actual 128GB and 256GB checkout totals rather than paying a premium based only on the storage label.

When an older S24 is better value—and when it is not
The S24 256GB makes sense when a new unlocked unit has a material straight discount, or a certified refurbished one is meaningfully cheaper with warranty protection, and you want the standard S24’s compact form. A small reduction from an old MSRP reference is not enough by itself to make an older generation the best buy.
Before committing, compare the live price of the current standard Galaxy S model and its promotional terms. If it costs about the same, newer hardware and a longer remaining support window may be worth more than the S24 discount. No current-generation comparison price is established here, so use live checkout prices rather than an assumed saving.
A 256GB S24 FE may suit a buyer prioritizing a larger display or lower price, but it is a different model, not a direct equivalent to the standard S24. Samsung’s December 2025 MSRP file listed the S24 FE 256GB at $709.99; that is also a dated MSRP reference, not a current offer. Samsung December 2025 MSRP file
