Before buying, check the current total cost and written purchase terms, and keep monitoring your card accounts regardless of whether you use a blocker.
What is SafeCard, and what do its claims establish?
A SafeCard-branded release dated March 24, 2025 describes the product as a compact card intended to sit in a wallet alongside payment cards and block RFID signals. Its protection claims and first-person endorsements are promotional statements. They do not, by themselves, show how well the card performs.
The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) explains that contactless payment cards use embedded antennas to communicate with enabled terminals. That general background does not establish that SafeCard blocks those signals. The sources available here provide no SafeCard-specific test conditions, compatible-card results, reader distances, or independently measured blocking performance. What do SafeCard reviews and consumer reports say?
The BBB review page displays four customer reviews. The posted complaints include allegations about double charges, difficulty canceling or obtaining refunds, and customer-service problems, dated from March 2025 through June 2026. These are individual customer accounts: they document what reviewers reported, but do not prove that every transaction had the same outcome.

Is there an independent test showing SafeCard works?
No named independent SafeCard efficacy statistic or controlled product-test result appears in the sources reviewed for this article. In particular, there is no disclosed test protocol showing which payment cards and readers were tested, how the product was positioned, or what blocking performance was measured. That absence does not prove that the product fails; it means the available evidence is insufficient to confirm its advertised performance.

If a seller presents test results, look for a report that identifies the tester, method, tested card and reader types, placement instructions, and measured outcome. A testimonial or a general explanation of contactless payments is not a substitute for those details.
What should you check before buying?
The 2025 promotional release does not establish today’s price, shipping cost, return window, warranty, stock, or active official sales channel. Treat each as unverified until you can read the terms for the specific order you are placing.

- Performance evidence: Ask for independently measured results under disclosed conditions, including compatible cards, readers, and placement.

These checks apply whether you are considering SafeCard, another blocking card, a sleeve, or a wallet. Without comparable test results and current terms, there is no reliable basis here to score SafeCard against those alternatives.

A physical wallet accessory should not replace account monitoring or the protections and reporting procedures offered by your card issuer. The CFPB advises consumers to check accounts regularly for unauthorized charges or debits and to contact their bank or card provider promptly about suspicious activity. For credit cards, CFPB guidance describes a generally stated maximum liability of $50 for unauthorized use when a card is used before its loss or theft is reported.
