Rogers displays incentive-based pricing across its four main consumer 5G+ tiers. The advertised $55–$90 prices generally assume Rogers internet or TV service, Auto-Pay and, on the main plan page, a new activation with your own phone. Rogers also lists separate student, first-responder, family-line and device-credit promotions. Treat each as a different discount, then compare your total household cost rather than the headline wireless price.
What Rogers’ current 5G+ prices actually show
The Rogers plan page shows these figures for new activations bringing their own phones. The lower column is the displayed price with Rogers internet or TV service and Auto-Pay; the higher figure is the page’s displayed pre-incentive price, not necessarily a universal standalone list price for every customer or channel. On the displayed figures, every tier is $25 below its corresponding pre-incentive number. That arithmetic should not be described as a $25 mobile-only discount: Rogers separately advertises savings of up to $10 per month when mobile is paired with Rogers home services, and the plan-page figures combine conditions that must be confirmed at checkout.
All four plans include 5G+ access, unlimited Canada-wide talk and text, unlimited international texting, Spam Call Detect and HD video streaming. Ultimate is the tier associated with a five-year price guarantee, not the entire lineup. That guarantee concerns the plan’s service price; it does not automatically freeze taxes, device payments, add-ons or the bill after you change eligibility.

Which kind of “discount” are you seeing?
Home-service bundle pricing
Rogers says customers can save up to $10 per month on 5G+ plans when they combine mobile with Rogers internet or TV. The incremental cost of that home service matters: a nominal wireless saving is not a net saving if the Rogers package costs more than your current internet or television service.
Auto-Pay pricing
Rogers commonly labels promotional prices “after Auto-Pay.” Without the required payment arrangement, your monthly charge can be higher. Keep the words “after Auto-Pay” beside every figure in your comparison.
Multi-line pricing
Additional lines are priced differently from a single line. With your own phone and Auto-Pay, the displayed family prices are:

The $35 Essentials figure is therefore a fourth-or-later line, not a normal one-line price. Existing customers should sign in because Rogers says exclusive add-a-line offers may appear only to account holders.
Targeted eligibility offers
Special programs have their own rules. The specialized-offers page lists a student 5G+ Lite plan at $60 per month after Auto-Pay, with 60 GB of high-speed data and Canada-wide use; its language includes new-activation restrictions. First responders—firefighters, paramedics and police officers—are shown Essentials, Popular and Ultimate prices of $65, $80 and $95 per month after Auto-Pay. The first-responder offer requires acceptable employment proof and is advertised as in-store only. Details are at Rogers specialized offers and Rogers first-responder plans. Other programs for seniors, newcomers, qualifying workplaces and accessibility customers can have different activation, proof and channel requirements.
Device promotions are separate from service-plan discounts
A low or $0 phone payment does not reduce the service-plan charge. Rogers’ promotions page lists examples such as a Google Pixel 10 128 GB at $0 per month for 24 months on an eligible Essential plan after bill credits, and an iPhone Air at $0 in-store with an eligible trade-in or $5 online after a one-time bill credit, subject to the advertised financing and return terms. - Approved credit and a 24-month financing term may be required.
- A qualifying 5G+ tier, trade-in or phone-return commitment can be mandatory.
- Bill credits can stop if you leave, change plans or otherwise lose eligibility.
- Setup charges, taxes and protection coverage are separate costs.
Rogers explains that Plus financing can provide larger promotional credits. Save & Return can add a credit in exchange for returning the device after two years or repaying that credit to keep it. The financing details are at Rogers device financing information.
Perks add value, but they are not cash discounts
The displayed plans advertise Rogers Satellite at $0 per month for 24 months, subject to terms. Rogers also promotes StreamSaver—Netflix Standard with ads, Disney+ Standard with ads and Apple TV—for $22 per month on new activations of select plans, describing that package as more than 30% savings. Uber One is shown at $0 per month for the first 12 months on Popular and Ultimate. These benefits matter only if you would otherwise pay for them; do not subtract their advertised value from your bill as guaranteed cash savings.
How to calculate your real monthly cost
One BYOD line with Rogers home service
Start with the quoted wireless price after Auto-Pay, add the actual Rogers internet or TV charge, taxes and any add-ons. Then subtract only credits whose duration and eligibility are documented. A $55 Lite quote is not a $55 household cost if the required home service adds $90 per month.

Two or four family lines
Use the first-line price plus the applicable additional-line prices. For example, four Essentials lines using the displayed schedule are $60 + $55 + $45 + $35 = $195 per month before taxes, devices and add-ons. Do not compare that total with a competitor’s single-line price.
Financed phone with a trade-in
Calculate: service plan + device financing + setup or protection charges + taxes − monthly device credits. Then check whether a Save & Return amount, trade-in condition or remaining balance is due at month 24.
If you cancel home service
Recalculate the wireless price without the bundle incentive and ask Rogers when the change takes effect. Also ask whether device credits, satellite or other benefits end. The pages establish eligibility conditions, but the exact consequence of each account change belongs in your order documents and applicable terms.

Who is most likely to benefit?
- Existing Rogers home customers: You can evaluate the advertised bundle price without adding a new home-service bill.
- Families: Additional-line pricing can materially lower the average cost, provided everyone shares one account and uses compatible plans.
- Students and first responders: Targeted prices may beat the public tier, but verify activation, proof and channel rules.
- US or international travellers: Essentials includes US use for 24 months; Popular extends that to Mexico and the Caribbean; Ultimate lists 64 destinations and priority access. Confirm destination and fair-use terms before travelling.
- BYOD users: Owning your phone avoids financing and return obligations, making the service discount easier to assess.
The offer is less compelling if you need one inexpensive line, do not want Rogers home service or Auto-Pay, use little data, or may switch before 24-month credits finish. A $0 phone can be expensive when it forces a higher plan, trade-in or repayment obligation.
New customers and existing customers do not follow the same path
The public plan page describes new activations and bring-your-own-phone pricing. Existing customers should not assume those offers transfer automatically. Sign in for add-a-line deals, and ask for a written quote before changing an existing account.
For first responders, Rogers says the monthly discount may appear on the bill but not in MyRogers account details, the app or the confirmation email. Certain existing-contract situations can also involve an $80 Preferred Program enrolment fee. Store, phone and online channels may show different offers, so use the channel specified in the promotion.
Checklist before you accept the offer
- Request the regular plan price and every separate discount in writing.
- Confirm whether the quote requires Rogers internet or TV, Auto-Pay, a new activation, BYOD or multiple lines.
- Record each credit’s amount, start date, expiry date and what cancels it.
- Separate service charges from device financing, trade-in value, Save & Return, protection and setup fees.
- Ask what happens if you stop Auto-Pay, cancel home service, remove a line, change tiers, miss a payment or leave before 24 months.
- Verify taxes, roaming add-ons and the final total, not just the promotional headline.
