On October 22, 2024, it launched QuickPerps: Falkor on Ethereum mainnet, allowing users to deposit USDC from Ethereum into an Orderly Network-based trading environment. The launch offers a lower-friction route to Ethereum users, advertised gasless perpetual trading and leverage of up to 50×. It does not prove that QuickSwap’s core spot-AMM liquidity migrated to Ethereum or that the protocol has joined DeFi’s global elite.
What QuickSwap actually launched
QuickSwap’s confirmed Ethereum expansion is QuickPerps: Falkor, a perpetual-contract product launched on Ethereum Layer 1 on October 22, 2024. The announcement says users can deposit funds directly from Ethereum into Orderly Network and trade perpetuals with advertised zero-gas execution and leverage of up to 50×. See the launch announcement.
That is different from deploying the entire QuickSwap exchange to Ethereum. The launch announcement establishes a derivatives product and an Ethereum access route; it does not establish Ethereum-wide parity for QuickSwap swaps, farming, staking, or liquidity pools.
Ethereum expansion is not the same as a full DEX migration
QuickSwap now presents itself as a multi-chain ecosystem, listing Ethereum alongside Polygon, Base, Immutable zkEVM, Manta, Soneium, MANTRA, Somnia, X Layer, Dogechain and other networks on its website. A network selector, however, is not evidence of deep liquidity or material usage on every chain.

| Component | What the Ethereum move establishes | What it does not establish |
|---|---|---|
| QuickPerps: Falkor | Ethereum users can enter the advertised perpetual-trading flow. | That QuickSwap is a leading Ethereum spot DEX. |
| Core QuickSwap AMM | QuickSwap remains a multi-chain spot-liquidity protocol. | That its Polygon pools were moved to Ethereum. |
| QuickSwap V3/V4 | Concentrated-liquidity and customizable-pool products exist in the wider ecosystem. | That equivalent Ethereum liquidity is deep or heavily used. |
| Orderly Network | Provides infrastructure associated with Falkor’s Ethereum deposit and trading flow. | That all execution and settlement is native QuickSwap infrastructure. |
| Liquidity Hub and routing | May aggregate or route liquidity across venues. | That routed volume represents native QuickSwap pools. |
Why Ethereum is strategically attractive
The August 30, 2024 governance proposal argued that Ethereum’s large DeFi community could supply a valuable new user-acquisition channel. Its statistics are historical, not a current market measurement; the rationale is documented in the governance proposal.
- Less bridge friction: an Ethereum user holding USDC does not necessarily need to bridge to Polygon before trying Falkor.
- Concentrated capital: Ethereum hosts substantial stablecoin, wallet and blue-chip-token activity.
- Discoverability and credibility: an Ethereum deployment places QuickSwap alongside the venues most DeFi users already know.
- New addressable demand: perps can attract traders who would not use a spot AMM.
- Partnership potential: Ethereum integrations may expose QuickSwap to wallets, aggregators and infrastructure providers.
The important architectural distinction is that Ethereum can be the deposit and access layer while Orderly Network supplies parts of the trading and settlement environment. Ethereum-originated deposits therefore should not automatically be counted as Ethereum-native execution or liquidity.

What a user’s Falkor flow involves
- Connect an EVM-compatible wallet and select Ethereum.
- Deposit supported collateral, reportedly USDC in the launch design, through the supported interface.
- Complete any required wallet approval and deposit transaction.
- Enter the perpetuals interface and inspect the market, leverage, funding rate, spread and liquidation price.
- Open, manage or close a position under the current product rules.
- Withdraw through the supported settlement path and confirm the applicable network and platform costs.
Exact markets, collateral, limits, withdrawal timing and interface labels can change. Check the live application before signing a transaction.
“Gasless” does not mean costless
QuickSwap advertised zero-gas perpetual trading after funds reach the relevant trading environment. Ethereum wallet approvals, deposits, withdrawals, settlement actions and any bridging can still incur network or platform charges. A trade can also be costly because of spread, funding, slippage or liquidation. Treat “gasless” as an execution claim, not a promise that the complete round trip is free.

What the current numbers say about traction
Indexed DefiLlama snapshots show a protocol still economically centered on Polygon. The figures below are dynamic dashboard snapshots and should be refreshed at publication; they are not Ethereum-only measurements.
| Measure | Indexed snapshot | Interpretation |
|---|---|---|
| QuickSwap combined TVL | Approximately $252.33 million | Protocol-wide liquidity, not Ethereum liquidity. |
| TVL on Polygon | Approximately 92.9% | Polygon remains the dominant liquidity base. |
| 30-day DEX volume | Approximately $708.59 million | Combined protocol activity; not necessarily spot-only or Ethereum-specific. |
| 30-day protocol revenue | Approximately $283,834 | Revenue methodology differs from gross fees. |
| QuickPerps 30-day perps volume | Approximately $188,866 attributed in the displayed Orderly breakdown | Modest indexed activity; coverage may be incomplete or lagged. |
| Orderly cumulative fees | Approximately $429 in the displayed breakdown | Not a complete measure of Falkor’s economics. |
| Orderly cumulative perps volume | Approximately $1.48 million | Cumulative and infrastructure-attributed, not a current run rate. |

Can Ethereum make QuickSwap a DeFi elite?
“Elite” depends on the metric. A protocol can lead one chain without leading global spot volume, derivatives, TVL or revenue.
| Standard | What must be demonstrated | QuickSwap’s current case |
|---|---|---|
| Spot DEX scale | Sustained volume, deep pools and competitive execution against Uniswap, Curve, PancakeSwap and other leaders. | Strong Polygon identity, but Ethereum leadership is not established. |
| Perpetuals | Deep order liquidity, broad markets, reliable liquidation and repeat traders against specialist venues. | Falkor provides access, while indexed activity remains modest. |
| TVL | Large, sticky liquidity rather than short-term incentives. | Most reported TVL is on Polygon. |
| Revenue | Durable net protocol revenue that reaches the treasury or token holders. | Fee-flow allocation from Falkor needs to be demonstrated. |
| Security and resilience | Time in production, audits, bug bounties, transparent incidents and robust governance. | Ethereum expansion adds contracts and infrastructure dependencies to assess. |
The most accurate description today is a meaningful multi-chain DEX with a strong Polygon base and an Ethereum derivatives foothold—not an Ethereum market leader.

Does the expansion strengthen QUICK?
More trading could help QUICK only if the fee path creates material protocol income or utility. Potential mechanisms include treasury revenue, staking demand, governance participation, buybacks or burns if adopted by governance. The QUICK documentation describes governance and staking utility, while the governance documentation explains the DAO voting process.
- Falkor volume may benefit infrastructure providers or partners before QUICK holders.
- A front end can grow without creating proportional demand for the token.
- Incentive-driven volume may disappear when rewards end.
- Low market capitalization can mean both upside optionality and thin, volatile liquidity.
- Governance utility alone does not guarantee token value accrual.
QuickSwap’s documentation lists a 1 billion total QUICK supply and approximately 706.1 million circulating in its indexed snapshot; these figures can change.
Risks traders and liquidity providers should price in
- Leverage and liquidation: up to 50× magnifies losses, and availability can vary by market, collateral and jurisdiction.
- Funding and execution: funding rates, spread, slippage and oracle prices can dominate a supposedly cheap trade.
- Smart contracts: QuickSwap, vault, Orderly and settlement contracts add multiple failure points.
- Infrastructure dependence: outages, withdrawal pauses or changes in settlement assumptions can affect access to funds.
- Oracle and governance risk: stale prices, manipulation, upgrade keys or concentrated voting can produce losses.
- Ethereum costs: mainnet deposits and withdrawals can be expensive relative to Polygon or an L2.
- Liquidity fragmentation: a protocol-wide TVL figure does not prove that a particular Ethereum pool is deep.
- Spot LP risks: concentrated liquidity requires range management and exposes providers to impermanent loss.
- Security hygiene: phishing sites, malicious approvals and fake contract addresses remain user risks.
- Regulation: derivatives access may be restricted by jurisdiction.
How it compares with alternatives
Ethereum spot trading
Uniswap is the natural benchmark for Ethereum-native spot liquidity. CoW Swap emphasizes batch auctions and MEV-aware execution, while 1inch aggregates routes across venues. The relevant comparison is current depth, price impact, fees and settlement—not brand recognition.
Perpetual trading
Hyperliquid, dYdX and GMX are specialist alternatives with different liquidity, custody, oracle and governance designs. QuickSwap must show competitive execution, market breadth, liquidation transparency and repeat usage to displace established perps venues.

- Repeat-trader rate after incentives decline.
- Perps volume adjusted for leverage inflation.
- Fees, net protocol revenue and the share attributable to Falkor.

Verdict
Ethereum gives QuickSwap a credible distribution channel and removes a meaningful bridge hurdle for users who want perpetuals. The October 2024 Falkor launch is strategically important, but it is not evidence that QuickSwap’s entire DEX has become an Ethereum liquidity leader. With roughly 92.9% of indexed TVL still attributed to Polygon and modest indexed QuickPerps activity, the expansion has not yet earned a DeFi-elite verdict. Sustained Ethereum-originated users, competitive execution and transparent revenue flowing to the protocol and QUICK holders are the tests that could change that conclusion.
