Amazon’s 2026 Prime Big Deal Days runs October 6–7, beginning at 12:01 a.m. PDT on October 6 and ending at 11:59 p.m. PDT on October 7. The event is for Prime members. Amazon advertises seasonal themes and scheduled deal drops, but individual discounts, prices and stock can change, so check each offer before buying.
When is Prime Big Deal Days 2026?
Amazon has announced a 48-hour U.S. event from 12:01 a.m. PDT Tuesday, October 6, through 11:59 p.m. PDT Wednesday, October 7, 2026. These are Pacific Daylight Time hours; shoppers elsewhere should convert the schedule to their local time.
Amazon says members in 22 countries can shop the event, but dates may vary by country. The October 6–7 dates and PDT schedule are the announced U.S. timing, not a guarantee that every participating country will use the same dates, times or offers.
Who can shop the event?
Prime Big Deal Days offers are exclusive to Prime members. Amazon’s event FAQ lists U.S. membership at $14.99 per month or $139 per year; confirm the current price and membership terms with Amazon before signing up. If you are considering Prime only for this event, compare the membership cost with purchases you already planned rather than treating a discount as savings by itself.

How do Today’s Big Deals work?
Amazon says its Today’s Big Deals offers will drop three times daily during the event, at midnight, 8 a.m. and 1 p.m. PDT. Offers are available only while supplies last, so a listed deal may sell out before the next drop. Amazon recommends checking the Today’s Big Deals section at those times and says Alexa for Shopping can provide deal alerts.
Amazon also says its product-page Price History link displays up to 365 days of pricing data. Use that history to judge whether an advertised price looks worthwhile against the item’s own past pricing; it does not establish that the item is the cheapest option elsewhere or that every deal represents a meaningful saving.

What categories is Amazon promoting?
Amazon says the event spans more than 35 categories. Its advertised themes include Halloween, fall hosting, seasonal décor, early holiday gifting, toys and everyday essentials. These are browsing themes, not promises that every product in a category will be discounted.
- Halloween and fall: costumes, decorations, candy, party supplies, blankets, seasonal candles, hosting and game-day items.
- Holiday shopping: holiday décor, gifts, toys and Amazon’s Holiday Shop and annual Top 100+ Toys List.
- Other featured departments: beauty, technology, kitchen, fashion and home.
Amazon’s announcement names brands including Shark, Soundcore by ANKER, Fisher-Price, Hunter, LEGO and Dyson as examples. A brand mention does not guarantee that a particular product from that brand will be available at a particular price.

How to decide whether a deal is worth buying
For a seasonal purchase or an early gift, evaluate the specific item rather than the event headline. Amazon’s materials promote the Price History feature and note that offers can end when stock runs out; price, delivery and availability must be checked on the live listing.
- Start with your planned purchase. Decide what you need and the amount you are willing to spend before browsing. This helps distinguish a useful discount from an unplanned expense.
- Check the price history. Open the product detail page’s Price History link and compare the current listing price with its history, which Amazon says can cover up to 365 days.
- Read the offer terms. Check which product or configuration is discounted, whether the offer requires Prime, and any quantity or time limits shown on the listing.
- Confirm delivery and availability. Review the delivery date for your location and whether the item remains in stock before placing the order.
- Compare the final cost with your budget. Consider the amount you will actually pay and whether the item meets a real seasonal need; a lower price is not a saving if it leads to spending you had not planned.
What Amazon’s savings claim does—and does not—say
In a September 14, 2026 press announcement, Amazon said more than one million items would be at their lowest price of the year so far. That is Amazon’s promotional claim, with “so far” as an important qualification; the announcement does not provide an independent, market-wide price comparison. Check an individual product’s price history and live offer rather than assuming the claim applies to every item or establishes the lowest available price across retailers.
