When does PIA’s direct Islamabad–Beijing service restart?
PIA’s reported plan is to restart the regular route on October 30, 2026, operating every Friday. The Associated Press of Pakistan reported the date and frequency on October 2, 2026; AeroRoutes lists the service as a Northern Winter 2026/27 seasonal resumption. Why is this described as a return in October?
October is not the route’s first reported restart in 2026. Radio Pakistan and APP reported on June 5 that direct service was due to resume on July 3. The later seasonal schedule plan said the service would be suspended from September 12 and resume on October 30. Can passengers connect in Beijing to other Chinese cities?
APP reported that PIA cited cooperation with Air China and Shenzhen Airlines for onward access from Beijing to more than 25 cities in China. That is an airline-attributed connectivity claim, not a guarantee that every city is available on every travel date, fare or ticket. The report does not list the destinations or explain whether connections are protected on a single ticket, how transfers work, or what conditions apply. Where can travelers book, and what should they check?
APP says tickets may be booked through PIA offices, authorised travel agents and major online booking platforms. The October reports do not provide live fares, October-specific baggage allowances, or cancellation and change terms. Compare these details on the exact itinerary you intend to buy; for a connecting alternative, also check total journey time, departure and arrival times, checked baggage handling, connection protection and onward-city coverage.
- Confirm the flight date, operating day, flight numbers and current timings in PIA’s booking or schedule system.
- Review the fare’s baggage allowance and change, cancellation and refund conditions before payment.
- If continuing beyond Beijing, verify the named onward flight, ticketing arrangement, transfer requirements and connection time with the airline or seller.
APP’s announcement describes the booking channels and partner connectivity but does not state those fare or itinerary-specific terms.
