PEPE and Remittix make different kinds of claims. Regulator-hosted filings describe PEPE as an Ethereum meme token whose announced appeal is cultural, while Remittix’s website promotes crypto-to-bank payments. But a described use case is not proof of a working, adopted service: the available evidence does not independently verify Remittix’s payment operation, and its own website gives conflicting token-supply figures. Neither proposition, by itself, establishes that a token is a sound investment.
What is the difference between PEPE and Remittix?
PEPE’s proposition is primarily cultural and market-driven: buyers may value the meme, community attention or trading interest. Remittix presents a functional-payment proposition, saying its PayFi service is intended to convert crypto payments into transfers to bank accounts. That difference matters, but it does not settle which token is more useful or less risky. The evidence for PEPE’s stated profile comes from filings; Remittix’s product claims come from its own website and have not been independently substantiated here.
| Comparison | PEPE | Remittix (RTX) |
|---|---|---|
| Stated proposition | Ethereum meme token associated with branding and cultural appeal; filings say no particular blockchain utility beyond that has been announced by promoters or the community. | The project website claims crypto-to-bank payments, merchant accounts and an API. |
| Evidence of operation | The filings describe the token and historical events, not a forecast of future returns. | The project website describes intended functionality; independent evidence of production operation or adoption was not established. |
| Supply clarity | Canary Capital Group LLC’s 2026 SEC-hosted registration statement reports an original supply of 420.69 trillion PEPE and recounts historical allocation and wallet events. | The project website says 1 billion in one section, but its allocation table totals 1.5 billion and its token-details section says 1.5 billion. |
| What could drive demand | As an inference from its documented meme and cultural framing, attention and market demand are central. | Payment use could create functional demand if the service is delivered and used; that condition is not established by the available evidence. |
What do the filings establish about PEPE?
Token profile and stated utility
A 2026 registration statement hosted by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission describes PEPE as an ERC-20 token on Ethereum, launched in April 2023. It says promoters and the community have not announced a particular blockchain-based utility beyond branding and cultural associations. A separate filing hosted by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission describes PEPE as a community-driven cryptocurrency without inherent utility beyond transfer and exchange on blockchain networks.
That supports calling PEPE a culture- and attention-led asset, not saying it has no possible use whatsoever: it can be transferred and traded. Nor does a description of its current proposition establish how its price will behave.

Supply, allocation and concentration
Canary Capital Group LLC’s 2026 SEC-hosted registration statement reports an original supply of 420.69 trillion PEPE. According to its account, approximately 93.1% was allocated to liquidity pools and approximately 6.9% held in a multisignature wallet for exchange listings, bridges and liquidity. The filing recounts that former team members transferred approximately 16 trillion PEPE, or 3.8% of supply, to exchanges in August 2023, and approximately 6.9 trillion PEPE, or 1.6%, was burned in October 2023. These are historical events as described in the filing, not fresh chain verification.
The same filing estimates that the ten largest addresses held approximately 41% of circulating supply as of January 2026. Address concentration is not the same as beneficial-owner concentration: the filing cautions that many leading addresses are exchange wallets holding assets for customers.

What does Remittix claim its PayFi service does?
Remittix’s website describes a service for sending crypto payments to bank accounts in more than 30 currencies. It also advertises a flat-fee model, merchant accounts and an API. These are claims made by the project, not independently confirmed measures of service availability or use. The available evidence does not establish that the payment rails are in production, that the stated coverage is operational, or that users and merchants have adopted the service.
The RTX supply discrepancy
The Remittix website is internally inconsistent about the token supply. Its tokenomics prose says 1 billion, while the listed allocations add up to 1.5 billion; its token-details section also says 1.5 billion.

| Website allocation entry | Amount stated |
|---|---|
| Presale | 750 million |
| Marketing | 225 million |
| Exchange listings | 180 million |
| Ecosystem reserves | 150 million |
| Team | 135 million |
| Rewards | 60 million |
| Total of listed allocations | 1.5 billion |
These figures are what the project website states, not an independently verified supply. A definitive total would require authoritative contract or on-chain confirmation. The website also gives presale purchase instructions and describes RTX as an Ethereum token; those statements do not independently confirm the contract address, current sale status or delivery of the payment service. A roadmap, audit claim or planned feature should not be treated as proof that a product is live.
Does a payment use case make Remittix less speculative?
Not on its own. A real, working service with users could support demand for a token if the token is actually necessary to use that service and usage creates demand for it. The available project description does not establish those links. A reader would need evidence of a live product, functioning payment coverage, actual transaction or merchant activity, and a clear explanation of how RTX participates in the service before treating the PayFi story as delivered utility.

PEPE’s cultural proposition is more explicit in the cited filings, but it remains exposed to whether attention and trading demand persist. A functional-sounding narrative is not a substitute for operating evidence, and a meme identity does not itself prove that an asset cannot be transferred or traded. The two narratives should be evaluated on evidence appropriate to each, rather than assuming that one is safer because it sounds more practical.

PEPE: speculation, liquidity and concentration
Canary Capital Group LLC’s 2026 SEC-hosted registration statement says: “Accordingly, an investment in PEPE is highly speculative and subject to high levels of risk, including the risk of loss of the entire amount invested.” This is the issuer’s disclosure in a registration statement, not a regulator’s conclusion or investment advice. Kraken’s 2025 asset statement separately frames risks that include volatility, liquidity, demand, concentration, regulatory and cybersecurity risks; that is an exchange’s risk framing, not a prediction of future performance.

Remittix: unverified operation and supply uncertainty
For Remittix, the main decision-relevant uncertainties in the available evidence are whether the advertised payment service is operational and adopted, and what the token’s authoritative supply is. The absence of an independently verified adoption statistic here does not prove that the service has no users; it means a like-for-like adoption comparison cannot be made on this evidence. Until those points are resolved, the project’s utility and tokenomics claims should be treated as claims rather than established facts.
Risks common to both
Neither token’s narrative removes crypto-asset risks, and the evidence here does not establish that Remittix is safer than PEPE or that either will appreciate. Consider whether you can tolerate a complete loss, how you would assess liquidity and custody, and whether you understand the source and reliability of a token’s claims before committing money.
How to compare the claims before making a decision
- Separate the type of evidence. Treat a regulator-hosted filing as a source for what the filing says about PEPE, not as a regulator endorsement. Treat Remittix’s website as the source of its own product and supply claims, not as independent proof.
- For a utility claim, look for delivery. Establish whether the service is live, whether the advertised payment routes work, and whether there is credible evidence of actual use by customers or merchants.
- For tokenomics, reconcile supply. For RTX, seek authoritative contract or on-chain confirmation that resolves the project website’s conflicting totals; do not assume either figure is definitive.
- For market risk, examine more than the story. Liquidity, volatility, concentration, custody and regulatory uncertainty can matter regardless of whether a token is presented as a meme or a payment asset.
The named-source basis for these distinctions is Canary Capital Group LLC’s 2026 SEC-hosted registration statement, a CFTC-hosted PEPE filing, Kraken’s 2025 asset statement and Remittix’s own website. The available information does not support a price forecast or a conclusion that either token is an appropriate investment for a particular reader.
