ORION Security announced a $32 million Series A on February 3, 2026, led by Norwest Venture Partners with IBM and existing investors participating. The enterprise data-security startup said the financing brings its total capital raised to $38 million and will fund further AI development and go-to-market expansion.

Norwest Venture Partners led the Series A. IBM joined the round alongside existing investors including PICO Venture Partners, Lama Partners and Underscore VC. The company announced the close on February 3, 2026. ORION Security and SecurityWeek report the round at $32 million, bringing cumulative funding to $38 million.
What does ORION Security do?
ORION is an enterprise software company focused on data-loss prevention (DLP), not a maker of physical security devices. It describes its product as an AI-native DLP platform designed to identify and stop sensitive information from leaving an organization improperly.
The company says its agents analyze signals across endpoints, browsers, SaaS applications, email, cloud environments, and AI or MCP workflows. Rather than examining content alone, the platform is intended to factor in sensitivity, data lineage, user identity, behavioral intent, and environmental purpose. Is ORION replacing traditional DLP?
ORION presents its approach as an alternative to relying heavily on manually authored rules. The company argues that legacy DLP can require extensive rule-writing and tuning and can generate false positives. Its proposed model uses policies for predictable, deterministic cases and AI-agent analysis for data movement that depends on context.
That is a product strategy, not evidence that ORION has eliminated rules, tuning, or false positives in customer environments. How will ORION use the funding?
ORION said it will use the capital to accelerate development of its proprietary large language models and specialized AI agents, while expanding go-to-market operations. The company was founded in 2024 by CEO Nitay Milner and CTO Jonathan Kreiner. ORION says it is based in New York City, with offices in Tel Aviv; SecurityWeek describes it as Tel Aviv-based. What does the funding say about the DLP market?
Norwest estimated the DLP market at more than $3 billion at the time of its 2026 announcement and forecast more than $10 billion by 2030. Those figures are the investor’s market estimate, not an audited market statistic. What is known about customer traction?
In later 2026 company reporting, ORION said it added customers in Fortune 500, healthcare, and big-tech sectors during Q2 and was expanding channel partnerships and strategic alliances.
