Newegg’s current legal corporate name is Newegg Commerce, Inc. The company sells to consumers under the Newegg brand; Newegg Business is its business-to-business channel, and Lianluo Smart Limited was the former name of the public corporate entity.
Newegg’s current name and what it means
In its corporate materials, the company identifies itself as Newegg Commerce, Inc., while using “Newegg” as its familiar brand and Newegg.com as its main U.S. consumer shopping site. The company says it was founded in 2001 and is headquartered in Diamond Bar, California. Its shares trade on Nasdaq under the ticker NEGG. Newegg’s corporate overview and its May 2026 SEC filing identify the current corporate name.

These names describe different things, so a name on a receipt or account record may vary with the type of transaction:

What is Newegg Business?
Newegg Business is Newegg’s channel for organizational purchasing, including businesses, IT departments, procurement teams, and resellers. Newegg describes B2B services such as business pricing, net terms, dedicated account managers, and marketing services on its corporate overview. A business account, quote, or invoice may therefore use Newegg Business branding even though the parent company is Newegg Commerce, Inc.

It is a business-facing channel, not a former name for Newegg and not a synonym for every legal entity involved in a purchase. For a particular transaction, use the seller and legal-entity information on its invoice or account record rather than assuming the channel name identifies the merchant.
Why older documents may say Lianluo Smart or Newegg Inc.
The company’s history is a corporate transaction, not a simple consumer-brand rename. Newegg Inc. was the original operating company. Lianluo Smart Limited was the public-company entity involved in the 2021 transaction; after the merger with Newegg Inc., that corporate entity changed its name to Newegg Commerce, Inc. The company’s 2023 annual report describes the former name and transaction, and its 2021 annual report explains the merger and subsequent name change.

That is why a historical filing may refer to Lianluo Smart Limited or Newegg Inc. Those names have distinct roles in the company’s history; neither should be treated as the current public-company name.
Rosewill, ABS, and regional Newegg sites
Rosewill and ABS are brands associated with Newegg, not alternate names for the retailer. Newegg’s media center lists Newegg Business, Rosewill, and ABS as separate brand or channel assets. Rosewill is a technology and computer-accessories brand; ABS is associated with gaming PCs and prebuilt systems.

Newegg also operates regional web properties, including Newegg.com in the United States and Newegg.ca in Canada. These are regional sites under the Newegg brand, not necessarily separate corporate names; Newegg investor announcements refer to both sites. Investor relations press releases provide those company references.

A Newegg-branded product page does not by itself establish that Newegg sold the item. Marketplace listings can identify an independent merchant. For a purchase, the seller identity and terms are more useful than the retailer’s brand name alone.

- Check the listing’s “Sold and shipped by” details. Confirm whether the named seller is Newegg or an independent marketplace seller.
- Review the return policy and warranty terms. These can differ by seller and help show who is responsible for the sale.
- Compare transaction records. If a bank descriptor, invoice, or business system shows a different name, compare the exact legal name, address, order number, and seller details rather than relying on a name match alone.
- Verify the website address. A similar-looking name such as “Neweggs” or “Neweggss” does not establish affiliation. Use the official Newegg sites linked from its corporate information and check the exact domain.
“NewEgg” with a capital E is commonly an informal capitalization variant of “Newegg”; corporate materials style the name “Newegg.” Capitalization alone does not show that a document or seller is a separate company. Check the specific seller, domain, and transaction details when legitimacy matters.
