The MPSC Group B and Group C recruitment announced in October 2024 is no longer open. Scroll reported 1,813 posts across the two examinations, with applications scheduled for October 14 to November 4, 2024. The preliminary exams were scheduled for January and February 2025, so those dates have also passed.
What the 2024 MPSC notices covered
The Maharashtra Public Service Commission (MPSC) announced two separate preliminary-examination recruitment streams: the Maharashtra Group B (Non-Gazetted) Services Combined Preliminary Examination 2024, Advertisement No. 048/2024, and the Maharashtra Group C Services Combined Preliminary Examination 2024, Advertisement No. 049/2024. Scroll reported the notices and vacancy figures on October 10, 2024. Read Scroll’s report.
| Stream | Reported vacancies | Scheduled preliminary exam |
|---|---|---|
| Group B (Non-Gazetted), Advertisement No. 048/2024 | 480 | January 5, 2025 |
| Group C, Advertisement No. 049/2024 | 1,333 | February 2, 2025 |
| Combined total | 1,813 | Not applicable |
The vacancy counts and exam dates in the table are those reported by Scroll in 2024; the original MPSC advertisements were not available for independent confirmation. The 1,813 total is the sum of the reported Group B and Group C figures.
Application dates and current status
Scroll reported an application window from October 14 through November 4, 2024. That deadline has passed, as have both scheduled preliminary-exam dates. This article describes a past recruitment cycle, not an active application opportunity.

How the application process was described at the time
For the 2024 notices, Scroll directed applicants to the MPSC website’s “Online Facilities” and “Online Application System.” Its reported process involved registration, completing the form, paying the fee, submitting documents, and saving or printing a copy. These are historical instructions from the news report, not verified current portal steps.

The report does not provide enough information to confirm eligibility or application details such as age limits, qualifications, fees, post-wise vacancy allocations, exam structure, or amendments. Those details should not be inferred from another MPSC recruitment year; they depend on the original advertisements and any subsequent notices. The MPSC advertisement archive is the relevant official source, although its page may require JavaScript to display notices.
