These are national survey benchmarks—not lender quotes captured on June 13 or guaranteed offers to individual borrowers.
Freddie Mac mortgage rates available on June 13, 2025
Freddie Mac’s Primary Mortgage Market Survey (PMMS) published these figures on Thursday, June 12, the latest weekly release available on June 13:
| Fixed-rate loan term | Average rate in June 12, 2025 release |
|---|---|
| 30 years | 6.84% |
| 15 years | 5.97% |
The PMMS focuses on conventional, conforming, fully amortizing home-purchase loans. Its reference borrower puts 20% down and has excellent credit, so the averages do not describe every loan type or borrower’s likely offer. Freddie Mac’s June 12 release explains the survey and reports the rates.
How the averages compared with earlier weeks
Freddie Mac described rates as essentially flat. Compared with the June 5 survey, the 30-year average slipped by one basis point and the 15-year average by two basis points.

The 15-year survey average was lower than the 30-year average, but the rate figures alone do not determine which term is better for a particular household. The survey reports rates, not a payment comparison; an actual payment depends on the loan amount and other loan details. A borrower’s quote can also differ from the national benchmark based on the loan product and qualifications.
