The brand name alone is not proof that you are dealing with a regulated broker. I could not establish a verifiable FCA-authorised UK entity behind “MegaTradeFX”, so it should be treated as unverified and high risk rather than as a legitimate broker.
That does not prove every website or person using the name is fraudulent. It does mean you should not send money, identity documents or remote-access details until the firm passes the checks below. A genuine broker must identify the legal company providing the service—not just present a trading platform, logo and profit claims.
What is MegaTradeFX?
MegaTradeFX appears to be presented as an online trading brand rather than a clearly identifiable, widely recognised UK investment firm. That distinction matters. A brand can operate through a different legal company, use an offshore entity or be copied by impersonators. The name on a website is not the same thing as authorisation.
Before considering an account, find these details in the broker’s legal documents:
#1 Best Overall
- the full legal company name;
- company registration number and country of incorporation;
- the regulator and licence number;
- the exact domain used for account access;
- the legal entity holding client money; and
- the complaints and compensation arrangements that apply to your country.
If the site does not provide this information, or gives a licence number that cannot be matched to the same company and website on an official regulator’s register, stop there.
Is MegaTradeFX regulated?
For a UK customer, the relevant test is whether the specific legal entity providing the service appears on the Financial Conduct Authority’s Financial Services Register with permission for the activity being offered. Search the FCA register at register.fca.org.uk. Do not rely on a screenshot, a logo, a certificate supplied by an agent or an FCA number typed into the broker’s website.
A proper register check should match all of the following:

- BUILT FOR YOUR MARKET, FUTURES, STOCKS, FOREX, OPTIONS & CRYPTO: 4X is a mindset and process journal, not a strategy tool tied to one instrument. The plan, the trade log, the deep dive and the weekly review work the same whether you trade ES, EURUSD, SPY or BTC. Traders use it across all five markets every day.
- THE 2026 EDITION, REBUILT FROM TRADER FEEDBACK: Same trusted system, better in every way. An extra daily page for more room to log the session. Weekly reviews now grouped with each week's trades, so no more flipping back and forth. Crisp, darker print that's easy on the eyes after hours on a screen. A Quick-Start QR that scans straight to step-by-step instructions.
- NOT A NOTEBOOK, A COMPLETE 12-WEEK SYSTEM: Start with a one-time 9-part Trading Plan (your market, setups, risk rules and discipline checklist). Then twelve identical weeks: five Daily Logs, five Deep Dive trade pages, and a two-page Weekly Review. 189 guided pages, roughly 80 trades. Guided prompts walk you through every step. You never stare at a blank page.
- RATE YOUR EXECUTION, NOT YOUR RESULT: Your platform tracks the P&L. Nothing tracks the why. Log energy, sleep and mindset before the open; grade every trade A to F on whether you followed your plan, not on whether it won; then face the pattern every weekend with START / STOP / IMPROVE / CONTINUE. That review habit is the edge. You're 42% more likely to hit a goal you've written down.
- BUILT TO LAST, ARRIVES GIFT-READY: Vegan-leather hardcover, 100gsm bleed-resistant paper, two ribbon markers and an elastic closure band. Bound to lay flat so you're not fighting the spine while you write. 189 pages, 5.75" x 8.5", carries in a bag. Ships in a premium gift box: the gift every trader in your life actually wants.
| Check | What must match |
|---|---|
| Legal name | The company named in the account agreement and payment instructions |
| Reference number | The number shown on the regulator’s own register |
| Website | The exact domain you were directed to use |
| Contact details | Telephone number, address and email details independently obtained from the register |
| Permissions | Permission for the relevant service, such as dealing in investments or CFDs |
| Status | Authorised—not merely an appointed representative, registered business or historic entry |
If MegaTradeFX claims regulation outside the UK, check the regulator in that jurisdiction as well. An offshore licence may not provide UK Financial Services Compensation Scheme protection, Financial Ombudsman Service access or the same conduct protections as a UK-authorised firm. A company registration is also not the same as financial-services authorisation.
Warning signs to look for
These signs do not independently prove fraud, but several together are a strong reason not to proceed:
- Guaranteed returns: claims such as “risk-free income”, fixed daily profits or guaranteed profits from forex and crypto trading.
- Pressure to deposit: a countdown, “limited allocation”, repeated calls or demands to deposit before a bonus expires.
- Personal account managers: an unknown person promising to trade for you or asking for larger deposits to unlock higher returns.
- Withdrawal fees and taxes: demands for an advance “tax”, “insurance”, “liquidity” or “verification” payment before your balance can be released.
- Crypto-only payments: instructions to send Bitcoin or stablecoins to a wallet, especially when the recipient name does not match the broker.
- Remote access: requests to install AnyDesk, TeamViewer or another remote-control application.
- Unclear ownership: no named company, incomplete terms, copied text, mismatched addresses or a privacy policy referring to another business.
- Artificial profits: a dashboard showing gains that cannot be independently withdrawn or confirmed through a regulated custodian.
Professional-looking software is not evidence of legitimacy. Fraudulent operators can use MetaTrader branding, cloned websites and fabricated statements. The important question is who legally holds the money and whether that entity is authorised.

How to check the website safely
- Do not use the link in an advert, WhatsApp message or unsolicited email. Type the regulator’s address into your browser yourself.
- Record the exact MegaTradeFX domain, including the spelling and ending such as
.com,.netor a country-code domain. - Search the official regulator’s register for the legal company, not just “MegaTradeFX”.
- Compare the register’s website and telephone number with the details supplied by the broker.
- Check whether the warning list of the FCA or relevant regulator names the firm, domain or telephone number.
- Read the withdrawal terms before depositing. Look for minimum-volume conditions, fees, discretionary restrictions and clauses allowing the firm to suspend an account.
HTTPS only encrypts the connection between your browser and the website. It does not show that the business is regulated or that your money is safe. Likewise, a UK-looking phone number does not prove that the company is based in the UK.
Deposits, withdrawals and compensation
A legitimate broker should explain where client money is held, whether it is segregated and which compensation scheme applies. Those protections depend on the authorised entity and product. They do not cover normal trading losses, bad investment decisions or a falling market.
If MegaTradeFX is unauthorised, you should assume that ordinary UK regulatory protections may not apply. You may have no Financial Ombudsman route and no access to the FSCS simply because the website claims to offer forex, CFDs or investments. Never treat a balance displayed inside a trading account as proof that cash is available.
Withdrawal behaviour is particularly revealing. A request to pay more money before receiving funds is a major fraud indicator. Do not pay a second deposit to recover the first one. Genuine tax liabilities are normally dealt with through the relevant tax authority and your own tax reporting—not an unexplained payment to a trading platform’s wallet.
What to do if you have already paid MegaTradeFX
- Stop communicating with the salesperson if they are pressuring you to deposit more. Do not pay a recovery fee.
- Contact your bank or card provider immediately. Ask whether a card chargeback, bank-transfer recall or fraud process is available. Speed matters.
- If you paid by cryptocurrency, contact the exchange you used, provide the transaction hash and report the receiving wallet. Crypto transfers are usually difficult to reverse, but prompt reporting can help an exchange flag funds.
- Secure your accounts. Change passwords, enable two-factor authentication and tell your bank if you installed remote-access software.
- Preserve evidence. Save emails, chat logs, phone numbers, wallet addresses, receipts, screenshots, the domain and account statements.
- Report the matter. UK residents can report suspected fraud to Action Fraud and report unauthorised financial promotions to the FCA.
- Beware of recovery scams. Fraudsters often sell a second promise to recover the original money for an upfront payment.
MegaTradeFX: advantages and disadvantages
| Potential advantage claimed by the site | What to verify before accepting it |
|---|---|
| Low spreads or large bonuses | The full cost, withdrawal conditions and whether the offer is legal in your country |
| Fast account opening | Who performs identity checks and where client funds are held |
| Modern trading software | Whether the software is connected to real markets rather than a simulated dashboard |
| Personal support | Whether the representative is authorised and whether the contact was unsolicited |
Until the legal entity and regulatory status are independently confirmed, these are marketing claims—not reasons to deposit.

Is MegaTradeFX a scam?
The name alone cannot prove that every MegaTradeFX website is fraudulent. However, I could not verify a clearly identifiable FCA-authorised UK broker behind the name, so the service should be treated as unverified and high risk. Do not deposit until the exact legal entity, regulator entry and website match.

Does MegaTradeFX have FCA authorisation?
Check the exact company and domain on the FCA Financial Services Register. A claimed FCA number, certificate or company number is not enough. If the register does not show the same legal entity with the required permissions, it is not an FCA-authorised broker for UK customers.
Can MegaTradeFX guarantee profits?
No legitimate investment can guarantee profits from forex, CFDs or other volatile markets. Guaranteed returns, fixed daily income and pressure to increase a deposit are serious warning signs.
What if MegaTradeFX asks for a withdrawal tax or release fee?
Do not pay it without independent verification. Advance payments described as tax, insurance, compliance or liquidity fees are common in investment scams. Contact your bank or card provider immediately instead.
Is a MetaTrader account proof that MegaTradeFX is genuine?
No. Trading software can be copied, misused or connected to a simulated account. Verify the broker’s legal entity and authorisation independently of the platform.
The Bottom Line
MegaTradeFX is not sufficiently verifiable to call a legitimate broker. Until an official regulator confirms the exact legal company, permissions, domain and contact details, the sensible decision is not to deposit. If you have already sent money, stop paying, contact your bank or card provider, secure your devices and report the suspected fraud promptly.
