Random freezes, missing sound and display glitches usually trace back to one bad driver. Find and replace yours safely.Free scan · under a minuteShort answer: Masterswift 2.0 is Mastertrust’s Windows-oriented desktop trading terminal, not a separately priced SaaS product. Mastertrust’s product page reviewed on August 16, 2026, shows no standalone subscription fee. The practical cost is the Mastertrust account, brokerage plan, demat charges, taxes and other trading fees. Its charts, backtesting, scripting and multi-segment workflow make it more relevant to active desktop traders than to occasional investors, while the available third-party reviews are positive but limited.

Mastertrust’s separate pricing page also advertises zero brokerage on equity delivery in its applicable presentation and free REST APIs. Treat “zero brokerage” as a plan- and segment-specific statement, not as zero total cost.
Why ₹20 is not your all-in cost
A per-order brokerage headline excludes costs that may appear on the contract note or ledger. Depending on the trade, budget for brokerage, GST, securities transaction tax, exchange and regulatory levies, stamp duty, demat debit fees, AMC, and any delayed-payment, margin-interest, data or optional-service charges. Mastertrust explains that ledger amounts differ from gross buy or sell values because brokerage, taxes and other charges are included: support documentation.

Is the download free?
The absence of a published software subscription means only that no standalone fee was found; it does not promise universal free access. Existing Mastertrust clients can download the terminal through Mastertrust. New users must consider account-opening requirements, brokerage and account charges. A third-party “price on request” listing at TechJockey does not prove a software licence fee, and a conflicting nominal figure at SourceForge conflicts with Mastertrust’s tariff pages.

Installation and troubleshooting
Mastertrust’s installation manual gives this basic path:
- Download the setup package from Mastertrust and complete installation.
- Open the desktop shortcut and sign in.
- Use Help → About Master Swift to check the installed version and date.
The manual references Microsoft .NET Framework 4.5 for x86 and x64 systems, but that is an old prerequisite reference; do not assume it is the current requirement without checking the latest installer documentation: installation manual.
Common fixes
- Antivirus may falsely flag
MasterSwift_setup.exe. Investigate the detection rather than permanently disabling security. - Disable conflicting automation utilities such as AutoHotkey, Magic Macro, Auto IT or Fast Keys while testing.
- If charts do not open, run
register_chart.batas administrator. - If F1, F2 or F6 shortcuts fail, uninstall and reinstall the application.
Use only Mastertrust downloads, never enter credentials into “fix” tools, and contact Mastertrust if a reinstall does not resolve the problem. Keep a web or mobile fallback for desktop outages.

- Compatible with Wide Screens - To ensure compatibility with the dual monitor mount, your each monitor must meet three conditions at the same time: First, computer screens size range: 13 to 32 inches. Second, screen weight range: 4.4 to 19.8 lbs. Third, the back of the monitor screen must have VESA mounting holes with a pitch of 75x75mm or 100x100mm.
- Regarding the compatibility with desks - Your desk must meet three conditions at the same time: First, desk material: Only wooden desks are recommended, plastic or glass desks cannot be used. Second, desk thickness range: 0.59" - 3.54". Third, the bottom of the desk should not have any cross beams or panels, as this will interfere with installation. We recommend carefully checking that your desk and monitors meets all above conditions before purchasing.
- Dual C-Clamp Hold - Worried your dual monitors might wobble or slip? Our upgraded base uses a larger platform plus a dual C-clamp structure to lock the dual monitor arm firmly to your desk. Each arm safely keeps your screens steady while you type, click and game—no shaking, no sliding, just a clean and secure setup you can trust every day. It also provides Grommet Mounting installation choice, both options ensure stable and secure fixation for your 0.59" - 3.54" desk.
- Full-Motion Adjustment For Comfortable View - Pull the screen closer when you’re deep in a spreadsheet, push it back to watch videos, or rotate to portrait for coding — moving everything smoothly with just one hand. The monitor stand offers +85°/-50° tilt, ±90° swivel and 360° rotation. Raise your monitor up to 15.75″ to support a healthy sitting posture. Whether you’re working from home, gaming through the night, or switching between video calls and documents, getting the screens to your natural line of sight helps relieve neck, shoulder and back strain so you can stay focused longer with less fatigue.
- Keep Your Desk Organized: By lifting both screens off the desktop, this dual monitor stand opens up valuable space for your keyboard, notebook, docking station or a simple, clutter-free work area. Built-in cable management guides wires along the arms, keeping cords out of sight and out of the way. Enjoy a tidy, modern workstation that looks as good as it feels to use.
Automation, security and risk
Mastertrust describes compliance controls, audit trails, role-based access and secure login features; these are company claims rather than independently tested security findings. Its API documentation covers 2FA and live order placement, modification and cancellation: Mastertrust API documentation.
- Scripts and APIs can place live orders during fast markets, data errors or outages.
- Backtesting tests historical rules; it does not establish future profitability.
- Protect API keys and trading credentials from untrusted software.
- Start with small size and use paper or sandbox workflows where available.
Desktop terminal versus web and mobile platforms
Choose Masterswift primarily for its desktop workflow: multiple windows or monitors, hotkeys, local scripts, chart trading and deeper technical-analysis controls. The trade-off is installation, maintenance and a steeper learning curve. Web or mobile platforms are generally more convenient away from a PC and may suit occasional investors better. Mastertrust’s broader ecosystem includes MasterWeb, Agnik, REST API tools and MT Quant; its annual report describes these as related products: annual report.
Who should use Masterswift 2.0?
Likely good fit
- Active intraday, futures, options or multi-segment traders who work at a Windows desktop
- Technical analysts needing charts, alerts, scanners or backtesting
- Existing Mastertrust clients who want a richer terminal
- Developers evaluating Mastertrust bridge or API workflows
Likely poor fit
- Casual investors who mainly buy and hold
- Mobile-only users
- Beginners seeking a minimal interface and extensive guided education
- Anyone unwilling to troubleshoot desktop software or manage automation risk
How to evaluate it before live trading
- Request the current brokerage and account tariff, including segment-specific charges and AMC conditions.
- Model several complete trades, including entry, exit, GST, statutory levies and demat fees.
- Install from the official source and verify the version under Help → About Master Swift.
- Test charts, hotkeys, order windows, alerts and your intended integrations before risking capital.
- Confirm a fallback login method and support route for platform or connectivity failures.
Alternatives by workflow
| Need | Comparison candidate | What to verify |
|---|---|---|
| Simple web/mobile retail trading | Zerodha Kite or Upstox | Current brokerage, charting, order types and desktop requirements |
| Active options-oriented workflow | Dhan | Current platform features, pricing and availability |
| Broader retail ecosystem | Angel One | Whether its interface and integrations match your desktop needs |
| Programmatic execution | Mastertrust REST API | Permissions, limits, costs, monitoring and credential security |
| Visual quantitative research | MT Quant | Whether research and backtesting, rather than terminal execution, is your priority |
Bottom line
Masterswift 2.0 is worth considering when you specifically need Mastertrust’s desktop charts, hotkeys, alerts, backtesting or integration tools. There is no publicly stated standalone software subscription price, but trading is not free: your real cost comes from the chosen brokerage plan, taxes, demat charges and other applicable fees. The limited 4.3/5 third-party rating is encouraging but not conclusive. Request the current tariff, test the terminal and maintain a fallback before depending on it for live orders. If you close the account, Mastertrust says access to Masterswift 2.0 and related services is disabled, so download statements first: account-closure guidance.
