KTC H27E6 White 27-Inch Gaming Monitor Is Listed at $249.99, but Is It Really $50 Off?

KTC’s white H27E6 pairs 1440p with 300Hz native refresh and 320Hz overclocking. The $249.99 price is visible, but the claimed $50 discount is not verified.

The KTC H27E6 is listed at $249.99 by KTC and in a Best Buy marketplace offer, but the advertised $50 saving is not confirmed by the available price references. KTC shows a $399.99 regular price, while Best Buy compares its $249.99 offer with $269.99. Treat $249.99 as the price to verify at checkout—not a verified $50 discount—and check the seller and return terms before buying.

What the $249.99 offer actually establishes

KTC’s U.S. product page lists the white H27E6 at $249.99 and shows a $399.99 regular price. Best Buy also lists it at $249.99, but that offer is sold and shipped by marketplace seller GOLLI TECHNOLOGY INC.; Best Buy displays a $269.99 comparable value, making its stated reduction $20, not $50. These reference prices do not support a confident claim that the monitor is $50 off a $299.99 former price. Check KTC’s product listing and Best Buy’s marketplace listing for the current offer.

Newegg results have shown both $224.99 and $299.99 in different listing contexts, so neither is a dependable substitute for checking the live listing. The $249.99 figures are observed prices, not a promise of current stock, shipping cost, tax-inclusive total, or a price that will remain available. Confirm the exact model, seller, delivery estimate, and checkout total before paying.

What you get for the price

The H27E6 is a 27-inch, 2560×1440 (QHD) Fast IPS monitor. KTC specifies a native 300Hz refresh rate and an optional maximum of 320Hz via overclocking. That combination—not the discount label—is its central appeal: QHD resolution with unusually high refresh for buyers whose PC can produce very high frame rates in the games they play.

Feature Listed specification What it means for a buyer
Panel and resolution Fast IPS, 27 inches, 2560×1440 A common balance of screen size, detail and viewing angles; it is not an OLED panel.
Refresh rate 300Hz native; up to 320Hz overclocked 320Hz is an optional overclock, not the standard native mode.
Response-time claim 1ms MPRT This is a manufacturer-listed motion-picture response-time specification, not proof of 1ms gray-to-gray performance in every mode.
Brightness and contrast 450 nits typical; 1000:1 static contrast Manufacturer-listed figures; they do not establish uniformity or measured HDR performance.
Color and HDR 8-bit; 99% sRGB and 98% DCI-P3 listed by KTC; HDR400 These are specifications rather than independent color tests. HDR400 should not be read as a guarantee of high-impact HDR or OLED-like blacks.
Video inputs Two HDMI 2.1 ports and two DisplayPort 1.4 ports Check the manual and your graphics card’s output capabilities for the exact resolution and refresh mode supported by each connection.
Other connections One USB 2.0 port and headphone output Do not expect USB-C video, laptop charging, or a full-featured USB hub.
Sync FreeSync/Adaptive Sync; G-Sync compatibility claimed in retailer material Actual behavior depends on the graphics card, driver, connection and operating mode.
Ergonomics Height adjustment, swivel, tilt and pivot; 100×100mm VESA mounting Useful for adjusting the screen or fitting a compatible monitor arm; check the included stand and desk clearance.

The specifications above come from KTC’s product page and its published product manual. No independent measurements are established here for input lag, response times, HDR, brightness uniformity or overshoot, so the listed figures should not be treated as tested results.

Who is likely to benefit from 300Hz QHD?

The refresh-rate ceiling matters most when a PC can render close to 300 frames per second at 1440p in the games you actually play. That is a demanding target, and performance varies substantially by game, settings and hardware. A monitor can display a high refresh rate, but it cannot make a game render more frames. If your usual frame rates are closer to 165–240 fps, a less expensive QHD monitor in that range may deliver better value.

  • Consider it if you play competitive PC games, want a white display, and can make use of very high frame rates.
  • Consider it if the adjustable stand, pivot function or VESA mounting are useful to your setup.
  • Compare alternatives if you mostly play cinematic single-player games and value contrast or premium HDR more than refresh rate.
  • Look elsewhere if you need USB-C video and charging, speakers, KVM functionality, a more capable USB hub, or independently validated color accuracy.

For console gaming, do not assume the console can use 1440p at 300Hz. Consoles generally target much lower refresh rates than high-end gaming PCs, and the exact modes depend on the console, game, display connection and settings.

Set expectations for motion, HDR and connections

Fast IPS is intended to combine quick motion handling with broad viewing angles, but the H27E6’s 1ms MPRT claim does not establish its measured gray-to-gray response or guarantee that motion will be blur-free. Overdrive choices can involve trade-offs, and no independent testing here establishes the best setting or actual input lag.

HDR400 is an entry-level HDR specification, not evidence of local dimming or deep black levels. The listed 1000:1 static contrast ratio is a reason to keep expectations moderate if you are buying primarily for dramatic HDR. Likewise, KTC’s brightness and color-gamut numbers are manufacturer specifications, not independent measurements.

For high refresh, use a cable and graphics-card output capable of the mode you want. The exact included cable and refresh limits by input are not established by the available product information. After connection, select the high-refresh mode in Windows or your graphics-driver control panel; enabling 320Hz may also require turning on the monitor’s overclock setting in its on-screen display. Adaptive sync, HDR and maximum refresh may not behave identically across every input and GPU, so check the actual options shown by your setup.

Check the seller, returns and warranty before ordering

KTC’s official U.S. page advertises shipment within 1–4 business days, 30-day returns, a three-year warranty and a 30-day price match. Those are the manufacturer’s stated terms; review the current conditions, exclusions, return-shipping responsibility and price-match rules before relying on them. Best Buy’s $249.99 listing is a marketplace transaction with GOLLI TECHNOLOGY INC, not an item sold and shipped directly by Best Buy, so check that listing’s own fulfillment, return and warranty details.

  1. Confirm the listing says KTC H27E6 in white and verify the seller shown at checkout.
  2. Check stock, delivery estimate, shipping charge, tax and the final total; do not rely on an old search-result price or date.
  3. Read the return policy, including who pays return shipping and how warranty support is handled.
  4. Keep the packaging and accessories until you have inspected the panel, stand and inputs.
  5. During the return window, test the desired refresh rate, adaptive sync, HDR toggle, major inputs and stand adjustments; inspect for dead pixels, backlight issues, unevenness and shipping damage.

Is the KTC H27E6 worth $249.99?

At a live price of $249.99, the H27E6 is worth considering if you specifically want a white 27-inch QHD screen with 300Hz native refresh, an adjustable stand and the option to overclock to 320Hz—and your PC can take advantage of that refresh. The value is less compelling if your frame rates are modest or image contrast, premium HDR, USB-C or verified color performance matters more. Choose the seller and return terms you are comfortable with, and do not count on a $50 saving unless the checkout page clearly substantiates the $299.99 reference price.
