Announced July 14, 2025, it offered a free eight-piece bucket of chicken or tenders only with a qualifying online purchase—not simply for liking or commenting on a social post. Later coverage reported that the offer ended August 24, 2025, so it cannot be redeemed now. KFC’s announcement and the reported end date explain what the deal involved.
What was KFC’s Free Bucket On Us offer?
The U.S. promotion let eligible customers choose an eight-piece bucket of chicken or tenders after making an online KFC purchase of at least $15. It was a conditional digital offer, not a no-purchase giveaway. KFC announced the promotion on July 14, 2025; its terms applied at participating U.S. locations. KFC’s announcement and offer terms
How the offer worked when it was available
- Sign in to a KFC Rewards account on KFC.com or in the KFC app.
- Place an online order totaling at least $15 before taxes, tips, and fees.
- Apply the offer before checkout and choose the bucket or tenders, subject to availability.
- Complete the order at a participating location. Taxes, tips, and fees remained the customer’s responsibility.
KFC’s terms limited the offer to one per account. It could not be combined with other offers, had no cash value, and was non-transferable. Participation was not guaranteed at every restaurant. KFC offer terms
Is KFC giving away free buckets now?
Not through this promotion: it ended August 24, 2025, according to July 2025 coverage. No replacement offer is established here. For any current promotion, check KFC.com, the official KFC app, or KFC’s verified social accounts rather than relying on an old deal post. Hindustan Times coverage

Are free-bucket posts asking for likes or comments real?
Be cautious. Full Fact reported on September 23, 2025, that KFC confirmed viral posts offering free buckets in return for likes or comments were not genuine KFC offers. Similar-looking fake voucher images circulated. Check whether a promotion appears on KFC’s official website or verified accounts; the real 2025 offer required an eligible purchase through KFC’s own ordering channels. Full Fact’s fact-check
