Yes, Green Man Gaming appears to be a legitimate retailer for digital game purchases. The company says it sources keys from publishers, and SEGA Europe includes Green Man Gaming on its approved-partner list. That supports its legitimacy, but it does not prove that every title, platform, or region is authorized or compatible. Check the specific product listing and refund terms before you buy.
What supports Green Man Gaming’s legitimacy?
Green Man Gaming (GMG) says it obtains its game keys directly from publishers and has contracts with more than 1,300 publishers. That is GMG’s own description of its sourcing, not an independent audit of every key or transaction. Its company statement is available on GMG’s About Us page.

There is also publisher-specific corroboration: SEGA Europe’s approved-partner list includes Green Man Gaming. This confirms the relationship represented by SEGA’s list; it should not be read as a blanket endorsement covering every game sold by GMG.
How to check a game before buying
A retailer can be legitimate while a particular listing is wrong for your platform or location. Before checkout, verify the details shown for that exact product:
#1 Best Overall

- No returns and no refunds on gift cards.
- Platform: Confirm the key is for the store or launcher you use, such as the platform named on the product page.
- Region: Check where the key can be redeemed and whether your account’s country is eligible. GMG’s terms say gifts can be redeemed only in the purchase region unless the product page says otherwise.
- Redemption instructions: Review the listing and the platform or publisher’s instructions for activating the key.
- Release timing: For a preorder, check the stated delivery or availability timing rather than assuming the key will arrive at launch.
- Gift restrictions: GMG’s terms say gifts are not refundable.
Because availability, platform, region, and redemption requirements vary by title, the live product page is the relevant source for a specific purchase. See GMG’s Terms and Conditions.
Can you get a refund from Green Man Gaming?
GMG’s Refund Policy says refunds or store credit may be issued at its discretion, with requests assessed case by case. Its published conditions include making the request within seven days and not disclosing, activating, or downloading the key. Once a key has been revealed or used, the stated conditions may therefore prevent a refund. Read the full GMG Refund Policy before revealing a key.

The policy also discusses separate withdrawal considerations for EU customers. Consumer rights can depend on where you live and applicable law, so the policy’s general terms should not be treated as a universal statement of every buyer’s legal rights.
What do customer reviews tell you?
A Trustpilot search-result snapshot accessed in 2026 showed a 4.5 out of 5 TrustScore, alongside mixed customer reports that included fast delivery as well as complaints about refunds and support. Trustpilot ratings are user-generated and change over time; they can provide context about reported experiences, but they do not verify how keys are sourced or establish that a particular key will work.

What should you conclude?
The available evidence supports treating GMG as a legitimate retailer, while keeping the conclusion specific: GMG describes its publisher sourcing, and SEGA lists it as an approved partner, but neither establishes authorization for every title or territory. For an individual purchase, match the listing to your platform and region, understand any gift restrictions, and check refund eligibility before you expose the key.

- An Epic Games account is required to redeem an Epic Games Store Card code
- If playing on a console platform (PlayStation Network, Xbox Live, Nintendo Switch or Mobile) you need to link your Epic Games account to that gaming platform (one time) to redeem your gift card code
- The 16 digit code on the back of the card WILL NOT work if redeemed directly through your gaming platform (PlayStation Network, Xbox Live, Nintendo Switch, Mobile, etc.)
- Note: Nintendo devices do not support Fortnite Shared Wallet, so V-Bucks purchased using your account balance will not show up on your Nintendo device. However, if you purchase items in the web Item Shop — or another platform where you play Fortnite — those items will be available in your Locker across all platforms.
- Redemption: Online
