G2A.COM is described in a G2A-sponsored PCWorld article as a marketplace where buyers and sellers trade digital items—not a shop that sells the keys itself. That distinction matters: the marketplace model, promotional claims about seller checks, and the advertised price do not by themselves establish that a particular key is safe, valid, or the best deal.
What the PCWorld article says G2A is
PCWorld published “Your next game key is waiting – grab unbeatable deals on G2A.COM” on September 22, 2025, with the labels “Sponsored” and “Sponsored by G2A.com.” Its description of the service is therefore brand-sponsored copy, not an independent assessment. The article says: “G2A.COM isn’t an online shop, it’s a marketplace where buyers and sellers can trade digital items.” It describes G2A as providing the platform, infrastructure, and payment processing, while sellers offer products.
The sponsored article lists game keys alongside gift cards, subscriptions, software licences, e-learning, and other digital goods. It also says the marketplace had more than 90,000 digital offerings, 35 million users in 180 countries, and more than 400 global and local payment methods. Those are figures claimed in the 2025 sponsored article; they are not independently verified measurements.
Does that prove G2A.COM is safe to use?
No. The sponsored article raises the question “But it seems almost too good to be true, so is G2A.COM safe to use?” but its promotional descriptions of security measures and seller checks do not independently answer it. The available evidence does not establish that every transaction is safe or that every key will work.

Because buyers purchase from marketplace sellers, assess the specific offer rather than treating the platform’s brand or overall scale as a guarantee. Before paying, check:
- Seller identity and rating: review the seller attached to the exact listing, not just the marketplace’s general reputation.
- Product and edition: confirm the game, edition, platform, and activation method match what you want.
- Region restrictions: verify the key can be activated in your country or account region.
- Final checkout total: compare the full price after any fees and taxes, not only the price shown in a listing.
- Refund route and support: understand which party handles a problem and what the stated refund and customer-support terms are before purchase.
How to tell whether an offer is actually a deal
The sponsored article calls the offers deals, but the material available does not independently show that G2A.COM is cheaper than another seller. Compare the same game and edition, with the same platform and region eligibility, and use the final checkout price. A lower headline price is not a like-for-like saving if it refers to a different edition, cannot be activated in your region, or carries different fees or refund terms.
What G2A says about its referral program
G2A’s official Goldmine Referral Program page, accessed October 4, 2026, describes referral links for digital marketplace items and G2A Plus memberships. It states that earnings for a digital item can be “even 5%,” depending on category, and lists €1 for a one-month membership referral and €2 for a twelve-month membership referral. These are program terms stated by G2A, not guaranteed earnings.
The page also states a 24-hour referral cookie, refreshed when the person revisits the reflink, and says reflinks cannot be promoted in web browsers. Referral rates, cookie terms, and placement restrictions can change; check the official terms and rules for your intended placement before relying on them.
