What was the IPPB 2025 Executive recruitment?
The recruitment was for 51 Circle Based Executive posts on contract under Advertisement IPPB/CO/HR/RECT./2024-25/06, dated 28 February 2025. IPPB described itself in the notice as established under the Department of Posts, Ministry of Communications, with 100% Government of India equity. The notice listed tentative vacancies that could change according to the bank’s requirements.
The application window ran online from 10:00 a.m. on 1 March 2025 until 11:59 p.m. on 21 March 2025. The notice did not accept applications by any other mode. These dates have passed.

Where were the posts located?
The notice distributed posts across banking outlets in the listed circles and states. Its regional summary gave these counts:
- Chhattisgarh: 3; Assam: 3; Bihar: 3.
- Gujarat: 6; Haryana: 1; Jammu and Kashmir: 2.
- Lakshadweep: 1 under the Kerala circle.
- Maharashtra: 3 and Goa: 1 under the Maharashtra circle.
- North East circle: 20 across Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland and Tripura.
- Punjab: 1; Rajasthan: 1.
- Tamil Nadu: 2 and Puducherry: 1 under the Tamil Nadu circle.
- Uttar Pradesh: 1; Uttarakhand: 2.
The official notice’s annexure identified banking-outlet locations. Candidates could apply for only one outlet, and the merit list and posting were outlet-specific. Domicile in the state of application was preferred; it did not replace the outlet-based selection process.

Who was eligible?
Education and age
Applicants needed a graduation degree in any discipline from a recognized university or institute. The prescribed age was 21 to 35 years as of 1 February 2025.

The notice also referred to Government of India rules for ex-servicemen. It specified that a domicile certificate issued by the competent authority was relevant to the stated preference for candidates domiciled in the state applied to.
What did the Executive role involve?
The contract role combined sales, customer acquisition and local banking-outlet support. Listed duties included:
- Meeting monthly revenue targets through direct sales of bank products.
- Organizing customer-acquisition events and financial-literacy campaigns.
- Training Gramin Dak Sevaks (GDS) on IPPB products and services.
- Coordinating with Department of Posts inspectors and postmasters.
- Supporting sales of IPPB and partner organizations’ products and services.
- Maintaining customer relationships and coordinating channel partners.
- Assisting IPPB managers with operational work.
Contract term
The initial contract was for one year. IPPB could review it for year-by-year extensions, subject to satisfactory performance, for up to two additional years—a maximum total term of three years.

How were candidates selected?
IPPB’s notice stated: “Merit will be drawn on the basis of percentage of marks obtained in the graduation followed by interview.” It did not specify a written examination for this recruitment.
Graduation marks had to be entered to two decimal places without rounding. If candidates were tied, date of birth determined the order. Candidates domiciled in the state of application were to receive preference over those without domicile issued by the competent authority. Meeting the eligibility conditions alone did not guarantee an interview; IPPB reserved the right to shortlist candidates.

What was the pay?
The notice set lump-sum pay at ₹30,000 per month, inclusive of statutory deductions. It also allowed for possible annual increments and performance-linked sales incentives, as decided by the competent authority. The notice said no other pay or allowances would be paid beyond those it listed.
What were the application fee and process?
For historical reference, the non-refundable fee or intimation charge was ₹150 for SC/ST/PWD applicants and ₹750 for all others. Candidates had to apply online, provide a personal email address, upload the required documents and pay online; bank transaction charges were the candidate’s responsibility. The notice said a submitted application could not be changed after final submission and that fees would not be refunded. These were instructions for the closed 2025 application window, not current application directions.
