Its strongest potential advantages are mobility, flexible delivery and a U.S.-style transcript. Its biggest risks are country-specific recognition, differences between self-paced and teacher-led plans, quote-based pricing, restrictive refund terms and mixed anecdotal feedback. Treat it as a school to verify carefully—not as a credential automatically accepted everywhere.
The school says it serves more than 190 countries, with more than 15,000 students, 600 teachers, 500-plus courses and support in over 40 languages. Those are International Schooling’s own figures, not independently audited outcomes. See its official site and U.S. information page.
What International Schooling is
International Schooling presents itself as a full online school from kindergarten through Grade 12, rather than merely a library of supplementary courses. It advertises an American curriculum aligned with Florida standards, academic records and high-school completion credentials. Families can choose among one-to-one, group, self-learning, Self-learning Plus, Advanced Placement, dual-diploma, Flexy or single-subject, vocational and university-course options. The available models are described on its partnership page.
That distinction matters. A child enrolled in scheduled one-to-one instruction may have a very different week from a student using largely self-paced lessons. Ask admissions to identify the exact legal entity issuing the transcript and diploma, whether you enroll directly or through a partner, and who maintains records after withdrawal.

Corporate and enrollment details
An enrollment declaration lists 111 Somerset Road, Level 13, TripleOne Somerset, Singapore 238164. This is a corporate or contact address, not proof of a physical school campus. The same declaration should be read for the entity named on your child’s documents: enrollment declaration.
Accreditation: meaningful, but not universal recognition
International Schooling advertises accreditation or recognition involving NEASC, WASC and Cognia. Its published Cognia certificate states validity through June 30, 2027: Cognia certificate. The school’s explanations are at NEASC information and Cognia information.
Accreditation is institutional quality review. It does not guarantee:
- Admission to every university or automatic credit transfer
- Recognition by every national education ministry
- Eligibility for every national exam or athletic program
- Acceptance of every course, especially laboratory or specialist subjects
- That a local authority will waive an equivalency, apostille or notarization requirement
The school also mentions College Board and NCAA-related approval or recognition. College Board approval does not make every course an AP course, and NCAA recognition does not guarantee athletic eligibility. Confirm the exact course and record requirements with the relevant organization. Before paying, independently check the accreditor’s directory and ask which grades and programs are covered through your child’s expected graduation.

Will a university accept the diploma?
Possibly, but the answer is university-specific. International Schooling’s own enrollment declaration says admission depends on each university’s criteria. A university may examine the diploma issuer, accreditation, delivery method, course sequence, grades, laboratory work, testing and whether the applicant is treated as domestic or international.
Send the target admissions office these items and request a written answer:
- Sample transcript and diploma format
- Accreditation certificate and accreditor details
- Complete course list, grading scale and credit requirements
- Delivery description, including online and self-paced elements
- AP, honors and laboratory-course documentation
- Any dual-diploma documents
Also ask your country’s education ministry or credential-evaluation authority whether a U.S.-accredited distance-learning diploma satisfies compulsory-education and equivalency rules. Keep the response with your enrollment records.
Curriculum and academic rigor
The school promotes a broad catalog, AP pathways and a Florida-aligned American curriculum. Those claims do not by themselves establish rigor, completion rates or student outcomes. Request the current course catalog, graduation-credit policy and a four-year high-school plan before selecting subjects.

Questions that reveal how learning is assessed
- Which assignments are teacher-graded, and which are automated?
- Are exams proctored? How are identity and academic integrity handled?
- What mathematics sequence is available through senior year?
- Are laboratory sciences available in the chosen plan, and how are practical requirements met?
- Which AP courses are actually available for this grade, country and learning model?
- Can the student enroll in only selected subjects, and how do those credits appear on the transcript?
A large course count is useful only if the needed course is offered in your child’s grade, time zone and tuition package.
How much teacher support is included?
Marketing references live teachers, parent-teacher meetings, on-demand meetings and multilingual support. Regional pages describe different support patterns, including on-demand and regular parent meetings: UAE information and Europe information.
Get a written weekly schedule that distinguishes:
- Required live classes from optional office hours
- One-to-one and group teaching hours
- Teacher response-time commitments
- Teacher grading versus automated feedback
- Parent conferences and academic advising
- Special-education or learning-support services
“Live teacher support” should not be read as “every lesson is live.” Confirm what is included in the quoted tuition and what costs extra.
Flexibility for globally mobile families
International Schooling says one-to-one enrollment is available throughout the year. Its FAQ says group learning generally begins in March, with an academic year starting in September and lasting 10 months; calendars can vary by country or program. Minimum ages listed are 5 for elementary, 11 for middle school and 13 for high school. Verify current details at student FAQs.

Online schooling still depends on reliable internet, a suitable computer and a student able to manage independent work. It may also conflict with local attendance laws or make a later transfer to a conventional school harder.
Tuition and the refund policy
The available official pages do not show one universal public tuition table. Pricing is directed through consultation, country pages, brochures or admissions, so expect a quote that may vary by country, grade, learning model and payment plan. Start with the brochure page and request an itemized offer.
Ask whether the quote includes enrollment or seat-reservation fees, digital materials, exams, AP charges, one-to-one teaching, transcripts, graduation documents, currency conversion and payment-processing fees.
Published refund schedule
The published 2024 policy says a 100% refund, excluding the enrollment fee, is available during the first 24 hours. After that, the stated schedule applies to eligible one-time-payment enrollments when a request is made within 90 calendar days:

International Schooling publishes favorable parent and student testimonials at its testimonials page. Trustpilot search results include positive comments about flexibility, teachers and usability: Trustpilot listing. These sources show that positive experiences exist, but selected testimonials and review snippets are not representative outcome data.
Reddit discussions report concerns about automated learning, administration, recognition and refunds: discussion one and discussion two. These accounts are anecdotal and unverified. Taken together, public feedback is mixed; it supports asking precise questions, not declaring the school excellent or fraudulent.

- Identify the legal entity that will appear on the transcript and diploma.
- Confirm the accreditor, grade coverage and current validity date.
- Obtain written recognition answers from the target university and local authority.
- Request the course catalog, graduation requirements and sample transcript.
- Build the subject plan backward from university prerequisites, including labs.
- Get a timetable showing live classes, exams, teacher grading and response times in your time zone.
- Ask whether enrollment is direct or through a partner and who owns the records.
- Obtain a complete quote with every one-time and recurring fee.
- Read the current refund, withdrawal and transfer clauses before choosing installments.
- Confirm document turnaround, notarization or apostille options and transcript fees.
- Document special-needs services and student activities included in your plan.
- Ask what happens to credits and records if the student withdraws or returns to a physical school.
Alternatives worth comparing
No alternative is automatically better; compare curriculum, accreditation, transcript issuer, live instruction, price transparency, advanced courses, counseling, activities and withdrawal terms.
