Who is Jochen Hanebeck?
Hanebeck has been CEO of Infineon Technologies since 1 April 2022. He joined the Siemens organization in 1994 as a DRAM development engineer; the company’s official biography records that he remained with Siemens until 1999 and has been with Infineon since 1994. He was born in Dortmund in 1968 and earned an electrical-engineering degree from RWTH Aachen University.
As CEO, Infineon’s biography assigns him responsibility for group strategy, the divisions, legal matters and patents/corporate governance, human resources, communications, public policy, strategic funding, mergers and acquisitions, and CTO responsibilities. Infineon announced his succession to Reinhard Ploss in November 2021; the announcement said his contract would run until 31 March 2027.
