You can practice on Binance without placing a live trade by opening Demo Trading on the website or app. Sign in to a Binance account, select the demo mode, and start a simulated Spot or Futures session if the feature is available to you. Demo mode is for learning the interface and practicing actions with virtual balances; Binance cautions that demo results do not reliably predict live performance.
What you need to start
Binance states that a Binance account is required. Its help page says users who have not completed identity verification or do not have a Futures Account may access Spot and Futures Demo Trading, subject to eligibility requirements. Access is not guaranteed in every location or for every account. Check Binance’s Demo Trading instructions if the option is missing.
How to open Demo Trading
On the Binance website
- Sign in to your Binance account.
- Open Trade → Demo Trading. Binance also lists Settings → Preference → Demo Trading from the Spot trading page, and More → Demo Trading or Settings → Preference → Demo Trading from Futures.
- Select Start Demo Trading to enter the simulated environment.
In the Binance app
- Sign in to your account and open More.
- Under Common Function, tap Demo Trading. Binance also lists alternative routes from the Spot and Futures pages.
- Tap Start Demo Trading.
Menu names and availability can vary. Binance’s help page describes the demo interface’s Markets area for exploring Spot, USDⓈ-M Futures, and COIN-M Futures pairs; Trade for placing trades and managing positions; and Assets for viewing Spot and Futures balances. These features describe the interface, not how closely simulated fills match live execution.
How to practice in the simulator
- Choose the market type you want to learn—Spot, USDⓈ-M Futures, or COIN-M Futures—where available in the demo interface.
- Use the Trade area to practice entering orders and managing positions, and the Assets area to review the simulated balances.
- Before taking any action, check that the account is still in Demo Trading. Use Back to Live to return to the live environment, and verify the mode again before trading.
Practice can help you become familiar with Binance’s controls and order workflow. It does not establish that a strategy will be profitable or that a simulated order will behave like a live one. Binance warns: “Your performance on the Demo Trading Platform is not a reliable indicator of your future performance or returns when live trading.”

Demo Trading and Spot Testnet are different
If you want to practice manually through Binance’s normal interface, use Demo Trading. Spot Testnet is a separate developer-oriented environment for testing functions and API use cases; it is not the ordinary route for learning to place trades in the website or app.
| Feature | Binance Demo Trading | Spot Testnet |
|---|---|---|
| Typical purpose | Manual practice in the simulated Spot and Futures interface, as described by Binance’s Demo Trading help page. | Software and API testing, as described in Binance’s developer FAQ. |
| How to access | Use the website or app menu routes above. | Binance describes GitHub authorization and test API keys for Spot Testnet. |
| Assets and resets | Virtual balances are shown in the demo interface; the cited help page does not establish equivalence to live balances or execution. | Uses non-real test assets that cannot be transferred to or from the test network. Binance says Spot Testnet resets periodically, normally once per month without prior notice, including open and executed orders. |
For Futures API testing, Binance’s developer FAQ describes creating a demo account and API through API Management. Those developer steps are distinct from opening Demo Trading for manual practice.

- As a day trader, you can live and work anywhere in the world. You can decide when to work and when not to work.
- You only answer to yourself. That is the life of the successful day trader. Many people aspire to it, but very few succeed. Day trading is not gambling or an online poker game.
- To be successful at day trading you need the right tools and you need to be motivated, to work hard, and to persevere.
What demo access does not authorize
Using Futures Demo Trading does not establish eligibility to trade live Binance Futures. Binance’s Futures account guidance says identity verification must be completed before live Futures trading. Applicable terms, exchange and clearing rules, and contract specifications may change and may depend on location, so check the current requirements that apply to you before using live products.
